I want to use an accelerometer to calculate the speed of a moving vehicle. For this i need a accelerometer which should give _ve values(2's complement) in Deceleration and +ve values in (2's complement) in acceleration. It should have 2g range with 12bit(or more) resolution. with less noise affected. It should have less Zero offset error.If there is any sensor Please Suggest me one.Thank you in Advance.

HiIm using samsung galaxy j5 accelerometer for a research work about automobile acceleration and deceleration. As you know samsung electronics uses stm mems sensors on its smartphones. In case of galaxy j5, based on some papers, the accelerometer name is K2HH! Some applictions show the same name too. I didn't find any datasheet about this sensor on the site.I appreciate any help about the sensor, it's real name or any other data.Best regards.

Greetings,On the custom board I'm working on, the HTS is powered off (electrically) when unused. The rail used to power the HTS can't remain on because it also powers other components which must be powered off to meet the consumption target.I noticed that it takes quite some time for the HTS to be ready to answer to a first I2C request, and it's not consistent. It generally takes 300ms, but I've had devices where the 1s timeout expires. I can't find a max boot up time specified in the datasheet.I need to know this in order to determine a maximum timeout, and maybe have a deeper look at the I2C implementation in case something is wrong here.Thank you.

Currently I am using LIS2DW12 in my project with ODR set to 1600Hz in High performance mode. Reading the datasheet I found that the maximum bandwidth for this ODR ir 400Hz. I want to understand why tye maximum bandwidth for this setting is 400Hz and not 800Hz. I also want to know if it is possible to set the bandwidth to 800Hz with ODR set to 1600Hz.

We are developing a new product with the LIS2DE12 and are planning to use Ultrasonic welding during assembly of the ABS plastic enclosure. The welding machine will hammer on the enclosure with a frequency of 20KHz, with an amplitude of 20umeter and a 'big' pressure. The welding process will typically take 1-3 seconds. Will this be harmful for the sensor wich is mounted on a PCB inside the enclosure?

In application note said that "The accelerometer sampling chain is represented by a cascade of three main blocks: an ADC converter, a digital low-pass filter (LPF1) and the composite group of digital filters". I want to know what type of filter is LPF1. Is it IIR or FIR filter. Regards.

I'm attempting to use LIS2DE12 at it's maximum ODR (Nominally 5376 Hz) to accurately measure the vibration frequency of a piece of equipment.I have discovered that the ODR of my sample accelerometers is not the same. The first one that I tested was about 5500 Hz and the next one was about 5250 Hz.I can not find any documentation about how much the ODR might vary and even more importantly whether it is affected by supply voltage, temperature or any other factors.Does this information exist anywhere ?

I put this in MEMS and Sensors but maybe it should go in Automotive, but after browsing for a component, I'm not finding any sensor ICs for automotive TPMS systems in the category of pressure transducers/transmitters used for these systems. I want to calculate angle from gyro and for this issue formula is this: angle=angle+gyro*dtFor dt; since my code is too long, instead of usind sample rate directly , ı want to calculate time that code consume's gyro reading part to gyro reading part. Hi Team,Customer is using X-Nucleo-IKS02A1 board to test the vibration sensor using vibration monitoring example code. The FFT data of vibration sensor is observed using Unicleo-GUI.Vibration Monitoring example code works fine with FFT size of 512. But does not work with FFT size of more than 512.It is observed that the FFT data is not represented in Unicleo-GUI when FFT size is changed from FFT_SIZE_512 FFT_SIZE_1024 in MotionSP_Config.h file.Please suggest the configuration settings to increase FFT size.Regards

Hi. I am evaluating the LSM303 and trying to get the device working as an Compass. I have the AN3192 application note to assist with calculating the heading, but doesn't seem to give me the correct results. The raw data coming back when facing north is x = -44, y = +1, z = -363. When facing East I get x = +45, y = +122, z = -300. With these figures I can't seem to achieve 0 degrees and 90. Please can you point me in the right direction.

I'm using the LIS2DH at a 10 Hz sample rate and need to change it to 400 Hz. How will this change power consumption of the device?

Hello. I have VL53L1X working in window mode with GPIO polarity active low:Window mode = 3 (within the distance range (min/max)).Min = 50mmMax = 200 mm It is working well. If my hand is: Within window: GPIO interrupt goes up and downBelow or beyond window: GPIO is high all the timeThe problem comes when there is nothing in front of the sensor and range status is 4 (phase fail). In this cases, GPIO interrupt still works, causing my code to malfunction. Why does GPIO works if distance is outside window thresholds and range status is different from 0?

Hello, We are using LPS22HH in SPI mode in our project.It seems that tying nCS =0 (not toggling it) disables SPI communication altogether.Is this observation correct?Does the nCS signal need to be toggled (asserted-deasserted) in order to trigger some internal state machine that enables communication?Thanks

I currently have the LSM6DS3 setup for FTH of 0xFFF, no decimation, 1.66kHz, continuous mode with FTH interrupt on interrupt 1. It seems like it is working ok - I see the FTH interrupt fire after about 400ms, which is right on time. When I read starting (SPI 4 wire) at FIFO_STATUS1, I see 0x00, 0xE0, 0x02, 0x00, then FIFO_OUT data (see scope screens). Now the FIFO is obviously full, both by the interrupt and by FIFO_STATUS2 = 0xE0, but the FIFO_STATUS1 = 0x00 means there is no data to read? Why would this be the case?I also don't understand what the FIFO_PATTERN is supposed to be telling me. I see only that FIFO_PATTERN1 = 1 and everything else 0. I expected to see six values in here, although even if I did, I don't understand how to interpret that register even after reading the datasheet and application note. I don't get how binary values can point to multiple possibilities (XL_X, XL_Y, G_Z, etc.) Or is it just telling me what the next two bytes of data are? If so, I

BlueTile can use ADC port? if we connect the signal to ADC port, Can we display on ST ble APP ?  

How do I flash the STEVAL-BLUEMIC-1 board? The STEVAL-BLUEMIC-1 board came with a 5 pin SWD programming cable. What does this interface with? Is there an ST Link tool that connects to the SWD cable and a USB port on a computer?

Setup is for the accelerometer STEVAL-MKI211V1K. My laptop is HP Folio 9480m using Window10. Laptop connecter through USB cable to the STEVAL-MKI109V3 running UNICO software. USB Virtual COM port was successfully setup on COM6, on the STEVAL-MKI109V3 the blue LED or D6 shows power available, all connections verified but measuring the VDD pin of the 24-pin mounting board 9STEVAL-MKIGIBV3), there is no voltage. The error message seen when running UNICO is shown on the attachment. I tried to run the STLinkupgrade3.3.4 from STM32cubeprogrammer but the board is not recognized. Please advise.

Can someone confirm which SPI mode (0 thru 3) LIS3DHH uses?It is not explicitly mentioned and from the diagram it seems to be either mode 2 or mode 3 (which start with clock high), but then I'm not too sure.

Hello everybody, I'm working with my SensorTile development kit (STEVAL-STLKT01V1) for a short time now and I'm trying to get it working. I can connect to the sensor board via bluetooth using my iphone and the ST BLE Sensor App and on the PC (Win10) via Unicleo-GUI. I have seen in the introduction videos that you can set the individual measuring ranges via Unicleo - but I can't find these Settings on Unicleo-GUI.So I have some questions:Do I need a different firmware on my SensorTile to get into extended datalog mode?Can I update the firmware via the ST BLE Sensor App or do I need an external SWD dubugger?Can someone please give me a hint?
