I have seen here on this forum few questions concerning the interrupt issues, so I have the same problem, none of these previous questions have brought the answer so I wonder will this ever even work?I first copied the ST app note AN3393 page 75 Wake Up -application register values.The problem is that the interrupt occur once and only once, the lenght is 50us and after this sensor doesn't do any interrupts. After unplugging - plugging the power I again get one interrupt and then nothing. When I set the interrupt (INT_1) to work as Data-ready interrupt to INT1. I see the interrupts occur on sample rate and altering the sample rate interrupts change accordingly.One person on previous threads suggested adding OUTC (0x88) to the state machine to update the interrupt pins !??! This however didn't have any influence.Is this a known problem in this sensor or how to get around this ?Thanks.

Hi, I have implemented a tilt and heading calculation using the simplified heading calculation that only works when the device is horizontal, and was until now ignoring the magnetic field value on the Z ax. Now I'm trying to implement a tilt compensated heading to be able to calculate heading when the device is not horizontal, and I was starting by trying to obtain the Z ax max and min magnetic field value to compensate its offset as I did before on the X and Y axes, and noticed that the minimum is with the board lying horizontally on the table, components facing up, and the maximum is with the board lying horizontally on the table with the components facing down, I never get close to these max/min values rotating the board in any other direction. I was rotating the board vertically and the Z value varies but its max/min value when it is in a vertical position is less than half of the value when it is lying horizontally on the table. I am using the LIS2DH12 accelerometer in our product. first question about initiating const from adr 0x2D to 0x87, is not the internal addresspointer incrementing ?Second: The default device address is 0x29 or ?(datasheet says 0x52)

It correctly reads expected values for about 4 hours and then goes to undetected state by SPI. Then IMU does not work even after I reset the microcontroller. IMU only works again after I power off and on the system again. What could be the reason and solution for this?

I bought the STEVAL-MKI109V3 motherboard and the STEVAL-MKI196V1 evalboard for the LSM6DSO. Now, i try to use the unico GUI to start working with the LSM6DSO, but I get the attached error message when I select the used components. Further, I tried with the DfuSeDemo program to update the Firmware. I downloaded the newest firmware, which i got with the unico software, but the error message still consist. Does somebody can help, how I can solve this problem?Thanks a lot.Best regards Basil

Hey guys,I am currently trying to interface a VL6180x to a micro controller and when i try reading the RESULT__INTERRUPT_STATUS_GPIO (0x04f) register i get 0x40 indicating a Laser Safety Error . I checked the documentation and dint find anything of help .Any kind of support on why the following error is present and how to resolve it would be appreciated.

I'm using sensor LIS2DH12, acceleration data I get looks OK. I am trying to set up interrupt driven reading of X Y Z accelerations and X,Y and Z Gyro data on an ISM330DLCLSM6DSM.  The plan is to generate an active high signal on INT2 when data becomes available as signalled by INT2_DRDY_XL (BIT0) of INT2_CTRL going high. The subsequent low to high voltage transition on the INT2 pad should then wake up an external microprocessor to process the sensor data.Unfortunately my microprocessor never sees the interrupt so it never wakes up.I am reasonably confident the microprocessor hardware is OK – I got your polling example (p26 of AN5125) to work fine.I suspect there may be something missing from my register workflow. - see belowWould you have a look at my attempt which I have set out below, please?REGISTER SET UPSystem power up – wait 1 second//Set up accelerometer ODR = 26Hz, low power and accel full scaleCTRL1_XL = 0x24

Hello, I am developing a feet scanner with the vl6180x sensors. But I need to protect the sensors behind 6mm security glass, patients will step on the glass. When I read behind a 3mm glass, everything works fine, but when I use an 6mm glass the measurements do not go through the glass.I have read the documentation, and I've seen an interesting parameter (SYSRANGE__RANGE_IGNORE_THRESHOLD). According to the documentation, I have understood that if the measurement is less than this threshold, it is discarded and the search continues deeper. In this way it would rule out the reflection on both sides of the crystal that can return incorrect measures. I have tried many values of this threshold but the measurements never go through the glass. Have I misunderstood the use of this parameter? Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,Can we use LSM6DS3H measure a tilt angle referenced to Earth? It has 6DOF angular velocity and velocity measurement. Can we combined these 2, do some calculation to measure its tilt angle / static angle. Which mean when unit turn on or start from reset, can it see its angle?We urgently need to know this because we already put this chip in our design and don't want to change it. Dear Concern,we have tried to configure the accelerometer LSM6DSO module through SPI interface using NRF52xx DK board. External Module was not configured properly without minimum nrf_delay_ms(10).Is any reason behind this delay, as it is not working without delay?could you please give us the suggestion how to avoid delay and is there alternate solution?Regards,Srinivas Rao.

I have a ISM330DHCX and evaluation kit for a vibration detector. Can the Unico / Weka Machine Learning Core work at above 104Hz? I've got a vibration class in the 1k -> 2.5k hz.  In Unico 'Options Tab' I can set the Output Data Rate to 6.66 kHz, but the Machine Learning Core will only goes up to 104Hz. I think I need a sampling rate at least 2x the frequency I want to test. It seems the ISM330 is very fast, but can it do what I am looking for?

For our project at the THM in Germany we're developing an app which should help medical staff to detect parkinson symptoms via motion sensors in an early stage (for example by examining the rotation speed of the patients' hand etc.). Is it possible to get a list of the gyroscope models/types which are built into the iPhones 7 - 11?Currently we're running through a case study for the sensor data where we compare different gyroscope sensors and accelerometers in a standardized test environment. For the research part it would be nice to have such information, as it's really hard to find those as they're not provided by Apple itself. You can find some information about older phones (iPhone 5), but there are different information about the suppliers for the range if iPhones mentioned above.

I have made a simple setup with 2 ICM-20948 IMU's and an AtSAMD21 MCU, which communicated through I2C and worked fine. Now I've chosen a more powerful MCU (STM32F410R8T6), and decided that a SPI setup would be advantageous. I have made the modifications, but now i get no response at all, from either IMU's. I just started using the SensorTile Dev Kit for one of our projects. As part of testing, I was trying to update the firmware using the ST BLE Sensor app but ran into problems. The firmware file was uploaded successfully but the board stopped responding. After waiting for a while, I tried the reset button but still no luck. I'm using the SensorTile mounted on the cradle expansion board in the kit. Is there a way to recover or reset this SensorTile? We have a ST-LINK/V2 available here but not any connectors that works with the cradle. Is it possible to use the ST-LINK or another way to recover this SensorTile? Any suggestion that you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I have no idea where to start on receiving and processing the data from this MEMS mic. The resource regarding interfacing this particular microphone is hard to find on the internet. Hi,I have an LSM6DS3 connected to an ESP32. I can see the INT1_INACT_STATE and INT1_WU interrupts attached to INT1 coming through, and I can read WU_IA and SLEEP_STATE_IA in WAKE_UP_SRC after the interrupts.However, the SLEEP_STATE_IA interrupt comes whenever the status changes, but I would like to know whether the LSM6DS3 is now inactive or not. One reason for this is to only recalibrate the Gyro when the LSM6DS3  is inactive.Another important reason is to toggle the Gyro to sleep mode after inactive state is achieved, and to wake it up again when active.Is there any way to detect the active/inactive state after the interrupt?

I have Pololu breakout containing a LSM6DS33 connected to a ESP32 module via I2C. INT1 is connected to GPIO15. I am driving Activity and Wake Up to INT1. The ESP32 picks up the interrupts reliably. I would like to know whether the LSM6DS33 is active or asleep after having received the interrupt. I read the WAKE_UP_SRC register to see the source of the interrupt. However, it almost always returns only FF_IA bit and Z_WU, and nothing other. I do not drive Free-fall to INT1. It returns the FF_IA bit even if the device is still. This is driving me crazy! I attach the simplified Arduino Sketch to help troubleshoot the problem.Your help would be much appreciated.Ben Zaaiman
