Dear ST,I am using an LSM6DSL connected to the SPI pin of AVR (ATMEGA328PB; schematic attached). The SPI line is shared by two other devices with different CS. I am having issues programming the AVR through SPI (raw board, all ICs new, 125kHz SPI clock). I measured the clock line and MOSI and they are fine. The MISO line (LSM6DSL SDO), is giving weird outputs. The problem disappears if I remove the LSM6DSL from the board and everything else then works fine.I tested for shorts or bad contacts and could not fine any. The PCB board is small (5 cm, 4 layers) and I could not detect issues with the clock wave form, just with the pattern. I suspect the LSM6DSL is outputing something to the SDO line when the programmer (ATMEL-ICE) is communicating with the AVR (which is in reset mode, so the LSM6DSL CS is high-Z).I am not sure the issue is with the LSM6DSL, but I would appreciate any feedback you could give me while I try alternatives.Thank you,Paul

I'm looking for an AMR 3-axis sensor that is stable and factory calibrated for both gain and offset, say +- 1uT, that I don't need to do any per-chip calibration.The data sheet for the LIS3MDL indicates that zero-field is +-1 gauss, so 100 uT, and has a statement in section 3.3 that it is factory calibrated. The datasheet does not say anything about the registers involved, or the specification of the factory calibration. If it is +- 1gauss after calibration, that's terrible, but it's unclear.The app note for the part adds some information, giving the address and description of the offset calibration registers, but it does not mention factory calibration, how accurate it is, or even if the output has these values automatically subtracted.The goal is a decent compass in an earth field of 60uT or so without any calibration other than what the factory has done.I also note that the datasheet does not actually state if this is an AMR or a Hall sensor, wh

I have an LIS3DH on a proprietary board using a BMD340. I am using the two inertial interrupts, I configure int1 to interrupt on any axis activity that exceeds threshold longer than duration. I don't latch the interrupt. I configure int2 to interrupt when all the axes have activity below threshold longer than duration. Also not latched. This is working so I'm confident about my code. However, there is strange behavior. The LIS3DH shares the SPI bus with anther device. I have each device configured as separate SPI instances. They share the CLK, MOSI, and MISO lines from the BMD340. They have separate CS lines.Strange behavior 1) I check the interrupt lines with my logic analyzer. When I trigger int1, I get a 450 uS pulse. The line goes high for 450 uS then back low. As expected. I check the interrupt line for int2. When I trigger int2, the interrupt line goes high and stays high for 95 mS before it goes low. That 95 mS is about the time it takes my interrupt service rou

Hi,I am able to try FFT analysis with 6KHz. I have also tried the MLC applications on ISM330DHCX separately. Is it possible to run the both applications simultaneously. Since, My FFT runs at different ODR and occupy the FIFO until the process is done. MLC runs at different ODR. How can we run both FFT and MLC.

hi,I am using lsm6dso module.I have configured with 26hz output data rate using accelerometer control register.I am reading data from fifo registers in lsm6dso. expected data rate speed : 1/26hz = 38.4615 milli seconds.Actual data rate speed : Around 100 micro seconds. this is too fast. I need to slow down the data rate. could you please let me know the solution for this.TEST 1: accelerometer configured with different ODR values and gyroscope configured with 26 HZ output data rate TEST 2: accelerometer and gyroscope configured with same output data rate values (ODR )  Regards,Srinivas

Hi,I'm trying to evaluate IIS2ICLX sensor with this board connecting to a 3rd party MCU board, what's the best way to connect it via I2C? I see on MKI209V1 schematics there are 2 pull up resistors already on SDA/SCL, which supposed to be connected to VDDIO (as per IIS2ICLX docs), but where are the contacts for SDA/SCL to connect to 3rd party MCU board? An example connection would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hi!I'm making driver for LSM6DSO, and I'm stuck with temperature data in FIFO. I understand logic for calculating temperature sensor ODR, based on acc/gyro ODRs, but there is small problem: there is no option to set 26Hz data rate for temperature (in FIFO_CTRL4 there are only 3 options: 1.6Hz, 12.5Hz, 52Hz). So what can I do, when acc ODR is 26Hz, and AN says: "If the accelerometer is configured in Ultra-Low-Power or Low-Power mode and its ODR is lower than52 Hz, the temperature data rate is equal to the configured accelerometer ODR;"?  (26Hz is valid Low Power mode ODR setting).Best!ms

Hi, I am writing because after we changed our supplier we suddenly experienced a huge failure rate in our pressure sensors when our PCBA's arrived from our supplier. Both us and our supplier are a bit lost in figuring out the cause of this. until our suppliers mentioned that perhaps these sensors are not suited for vapor-phase soldering even though they are "water resistant"However we and they were not able to find ANY documentation on this, so is there an expert from ST who may be able to shed some light on this?and if possible can you share some documentation on the issue with MEMS sensors and vapor-phase soldering?best regards P. Hi,In the LPS33WTR pressure sensor,I want to program the LPS33WTR FIFO to a certain pressure and configure the interrupt as Threshold-based interrupt.No Where have I found the duration of the Interrupt logic change. I want to use it as a HW trigger once a threshold is crossed (pressure decreases).For how long will the Interrupt stay in 'high' state ( assuming it is configured as Active high AND Push - Pull).Thanks!

I have a really simple application setup. I'm currently feeding in one PDM microphone. I'm using the SAI interface (code is attached). First there appears to be a bug in the ST code. The SAI_PDMCR register have a field to set up to 4 microphones (see reference manual). The STM32CubeMX doesn't allow you to set the value to anything other than a 3. We are using X-Nucleo-IKS02A1 board to test the vibration sensor using vibration monitoring example code. The FFT data of vibration sensor is observed using Unicleo-GUI.It is observed that the FFT data is not represented in Unicleo-GUI when FFT size is changed from FFT_SIZE_512 FFT_SIZE_1024 in MotionSP_Config.h file.Please suggest the configuration settings to increase FFT size.

Hi,I have setup the registers on the LIS3DSH according to the "Wake-up" example in application note AN3393. It works for the first interrupt, but so far i haven't had any luck to receive any more interrupts unless i read the OUTS1 register to reset it. I would like to keep on receiving interrupts without reading this register to save power not waking up the host MCU. Dear Concern, we are using LSM6DSO MODULE for my project purposeDouble Tap Issue :  Double tap is not working if we configured less than 208 Hz (Accelerometer ODR). Hello,I've been trying to incorporate code from the drivers in a project while following the data polling example on Github example (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lsm9ds1_STdC/example/lsm9ds1_read_data_polling.c). In a first attempt, I was able to easily read data from the Accelerometer and Gyroscope and even change its' output data rate. However, the magnetometer doesn't seem to respond appropriately. The data coming from the registers indicates the magnetic field is always equal to all the axes X, Y and Z and it doesn't change between readings. The first value it reads remains the same to all axes indefinitely. The magnetometer appears to be functioning since reading the WHO_AM_I register returns the expected Byte. I've also probed the DRDY pin and there was no signal whatsoever. The value that is on its controls registers seems not much different from what is read on the IMU.Being so, I've decided to start

Hello,I'm developing an ultra-low-power circuit with LIS2DE12. I would like to have the accelerometer running with IRQ enabled, but serial communication shutted down.I can't understand at whitch power path the INT1 and INT2 are connected (Vdd or VddIO).Is it possible to have INT1 and INT2 output working if I power-up the LIS2DE12 only by Vdd?Thanks.

I am evaluating MEMS sensors using the SensorTile hardware and accompanying software (STSW-STLKT01). The toolkit has thus far been very nice. In order to move the project further I now want to port the AudioLoop example project to another MCU on a Nucleo Board.I am wondering if there is an IOC file available for the SensorTile reference projects (AudioLoop in particular) in order to make this process easier?Or what is the recommended way of porting these examples?Thanks in advance! I am currently working off of an Arduino to compute both Pitch and Roll, I do not need the Yaw axis. The application this is being done for requires arduino development so I dont have the opportunity to use a different platform.I have both the Kalman Filter and Complimentary filter for testing and accurate estimation but I was wondering if there is any ST recommendation for Tilt Estimation on a 6-DoF IMU such as the ISM330DHCX.The implementation will be within a Metal chamber so ideally no Magnetometer will be used,I looked through the documentation and I am assuming there is no onboard computation for these factors, unless I am missing anything,Any help is appreciated,Thanks!
