Hi, I would like to know the current consumption of a LSM6DS3 with it's accelerometer and gyroscope running at 52 Hz and 104 Hz. The LSM6DS3 will be powered by a 2.8V source. Are there any official numbers or documents available for this?

 Can you explain what is the use of Third party middleware for IO-Link device stack V1.1 (providedby TEConcept GmbH)? i noticed that this middleware was not present in the previous version of the two before mentioned board: STEVAL-BFA001V1B and STEVAL-IDP004V1. Can you explain the advantage of this middleware. Thank you.

Hi. I just bought the new STEVAL-STWINK1 eval board and tried it out on the ST BLE android app. But i keep getting connection errors on the bluetooth and get disconnected.. I can barely finish one FFT analysis before the bluetooth bugs out and disconnects me. Do i need to reflash the firmware on it? And if so, where and how do i do so?I checked the firmware version in the app and it is version 2.1.0

Hello,I'm using NUCLEO-L476RG connected to eval board of LSM6DSL. I have checked the physical connection with a DVM and it seems to be correct.I have generated a very simple project using STM32CubeIDE and trying to read the WHO_AM_I register (code below). I'm using a simple USB logic analyzer and I can see that the data is being output correctly on the MOSI line, but there is no answer on the MISO line. Good morning,I using STWIN for FFT analyse and i have few question about the data collection and especialy for understanding who does whatOn STBLE app the logging from fft windows return 3 files (FFT amplitude, FFT and Motor time parameter). Is anybody have an explanation about their content for understanding how i can read and draw on excel the FFT.By example what are the unit for amplitude column for file FFT ? how do the data are compiled?i know that it exist design tips data sheet for sensortile but i haven't found yet for STWINthanks

Hello Everyone. I'm trying to use LIS3DH as vibration sensor and convert the output of acceleration to RMS velocity in range of +-4G and bandwidth of 10to1000Hz. But i encountered an odd problem with the LIS3DH output. When i set High pass filter to the 12Hz cutt-off or any other frequencies, I got many serious noisy output in all three axises. I tried to use just one single axis in x but still there are noises. I have to say that i'm using LIS3DH in low power mode with ODR=5.3KHZ. I will appreciate if anyone can help me to exit this lock-down situation in my design. Thank you.

Hello Everyone. I'm using LIS3DH in Low power Mode and with ODR=5.3KHZ. In datasheet it's declared that the resolution of 8 bit data in LIS3DH when using +-16G Range, is 192mg/lsb. 8 bit data should be signed char with range -128...+127. So when i multiply 127*Res(0.192) i have to get 16 as 16G but i get 24.38G!!! What is the problem? just a Typo or there is anything that i can not understand?

I have a part that I believe to be a MEMS sensor. Unfortunately it has no company logo just some code numbers. The fact that it is a LGA-14 in 3*3mm makes me think it is a L3GD20H. No other manufacturer seems to have a MEMS part in that size. The L3GD20H datasheet makes no mention of markings for the chip (shame on you ST!). Can anyone confirm that "162 <new line> 3496 <new line> A46" is an L3GD20H. Or better yet point to a document that lists ST's chip markings. I am unable to find such a document.

I would like to use the high pass filter with the LIS3DH sensor, but when I select it I see results of value = 0.00, why?

Hello,I am trying to setup INT2 pin on LIS3DH. I can successfully setup INT1 without any issues and confirm an interrupt has fired with INT1_SRC (0x31). I am trying to setup INT2 pin the same and confirm when it fires by reading INT2_SRC (0x35) but cannot see the interrupt fire. In my code I use a 2D array to manage the registers and their settings. configBuf[i][] refers to the target register and configBug[][j] refers to the value I will be writing. I have left in comments to show what else I have tried. Within a research project we are evaluating the IIS3DWB for measuring vibrations in hydraulic forging hammers for predictive maintenance.The current application requires that two IIS3DWB sensors (which are connected to the same microcontroller) are synchronized. At least we should have some option to either start the timestamping on both synchronously or with a known correlation.I'd like to mention that SPI-timing is not exactly predictable due to a linux operation system. We already got FIFO running to work around this at least for one sensor.Now we need to correlaty two of them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.If there are other devices which fit better, this may also be an option (we need 3-axis, SPI, high sampling rate, and if possible a higher max. g value)RegardsProf. Tobias Ellermeyer

In fact, I want to read the real time data MMA8452 working with STM32L476RG, I need to know if there is a C library that I can use in this case, if not, how i can develop a C library for this accelerometer giving the technical sheet.

hi st: I am using lis2dh, driven by spi. Initially set to fifo mode, 25hz. When the power is turned on for the first time, I can read that there is data in the fifo, and the data are normal. When I reset the mcu and initialize the sensor again, the data cannot be read later. I have to power on lis2dh before it can work properly. So how to reset lis2dh, I have tried to set it to power dowm mode and then set it to normal mode, and it still behaves like this.ps (vddio and vdd connect to vdd)thanks!

Is there a Problem when the Sensor is sampling and doing a i2c communication(reading the FIFO) in parallel?I saw that, that the FIFO gets shifted(or data is overwritten) a few times during collecting data.Can someone help me please?Best Regards,Christof

It is stated that the 220nF capacitor should have a ESR smaller than 200mOHm. At what frequency is this rated? not sure what frequency the LSM is switching this capacitor. I had a look at the EVAL MKI72V1, but that one has an error in the BOM. Any suggested part number? regards, rob

Hello together,I have problems by using the Unicleo-GUI with my STEVAL-BCN002V1B board.I installed the STSW-BLUETILE-DK, the drivers and the X-CUBE-MEMS1-V4.I thought I can plug in the host board and read out some senor data. I flashed the board with the SensorDemo.hex file. When I plug in the board I can see it in device manager and in the unicleo Gui, but no further tabs were opended in the GUI.It is also not possible to connect the board over BLE.

Hi,I am just kind of confused that LISM3MDL (which is just an magnetometer) has scalable range from ±4 up to ±16 gauss. LSM303AGR has magnetic range ±49.152 gauss.Accelerometer of LSM303AGR has same range and sensitivty as magnetometer LISM3MDL but in unit g.Am I having a mistake in thinking?

I am an absolute beginner and want to analyse accelerometer data. I also seen some example related to Predictive maintenance where motionSP is used but I am unable to understand how to use it in my custom application. Please let me know how to use it.Thanks

Hi, Does anyone know what the markings are on the LIS3DHTR, Or point me to a datasheet that has the meaning for it please.I'm assuming the first 4 digits are a date code, The C3H is the part number and the last line of code is a batch serial number?How would I identify that they are genuine ST parts?Thanks
