I have an array of three VL53L0X sensors, mounted at -20, 0 and +20 degrees with respect to each other. The idea is to use the differential between the distances measured by the three sensors to determine the orientation of my autonomous wall-following robot with respect to a nearby wall. I compute a 'steering value' by dividing the difference between the two outside sensor measurements by the center sensor measurement, i.e. (R-L)/C. This value should be zero when the array is oriented parallel to the target wall.I have performed a number of automated and manual rotary scans with this array offset about 20 cm from a target 'wall', and I have noticed a consistent asymmetry in the array measurements, as shown in the attached Excel plot. The left sensor measurement data is unusable beyond about -30 deg relative to the parallel orientation, but the right sensor provides good data out to almost +60 deg. Hi,I am implementing the VL53L3CX in a custom design and am trying to get the API working. The documentation says that there is one sample included in the API that shows how to call it. It is not present in the supplied API download (VL53L3CX_BareDriver_1.1.4.2352).It seems the download provided (STSW-IMG015) does not jive with the folder structure shown at https://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/stsw-img015.pdf. Hi.Excuse me if this query seems very silly, I am designing a schematic and it will take the integrated LSM303AGR because I need to read accelerometer and magnetometer data by I2C.What happens if I leave the accelerometer interrupt pins (INT_1_XL and INT_2_XL pins) and the magnetometer interrupt pin (INT_MAG / DRDY pin) without connecting to my microcontroller, or anywhere, I just leave them floating?Will the accelerometer work normally? Will I be able to read his data without problems?Or is it necessary to connect them all (or only some) to at least some voltage reference?Again, excuse me if this question seems too silly.Thank you very much for your time.Gustavo

Hi all -Two questions:Are DRDY and INT on the LIS3MDL Open Drain or Push/Pull?Is DRDY active low or active high?Related Comment: I see in the datasheet that, using the IEA bit of the INT_CFG register, INT can be set active high or active low, but I haven't yet found similar info on DRDY, nor indication of whether these two pins are Open Drain or Push/Pull. Context: I would really like (if possible) to set both DRDY and INT to be active low and open drain, and join them together into a single combined DRDY_INT line to connect to a single GPIO on the MCU. For me, it seems rather redundant to have these two lines separate - either I am actively monitoring the pressure with the connected MCU (and can easily decide on the MCU what to do, with simple logic based on measured pressure levels), or I am not. If I am NOT actively monitoring the pressure on the MCU, only then I do I really need to be alerted whenever a certain

IIS328DQ CS, SCL, SDA, and SA0 pins are having internal active pull up. If I were to use I2C communication, do I need to connect CS pin to high? Since it is already had internal active pull up, I don't think that we still need it....please confirm.

Not quite clear about the statement " "Pin 1 Indicator" unconnected during soldering " as mentioned in the datasheet. Can someone elaborate on this?In the Recommended Land and Soldermask design, the statement "PCB THERMAL PAD NOT TO BE DESIGNED ON PCB". Does this mean it is not allow to have solderpad on the PCB? Do we only need to open the Soldermask?

Hi there,we are using two IIS3DWB (but the problem also occurs when only using one sensor) and trying to read out data from fifo when a certain watermark/threshold is reached.When polling the status register this works, but causes a lot of SPI traffic. And since both sensors share the same SPI (separate CS), we like to use INT1 (or INT2) instead of polling.Therefore we configured INT1 to trigger on WTM. Hi, I am reading FIFO from a couple LSM6DSL IMUs, but the FIFO generation speed seems a bit different even if all of them are in the same configuration. I am suspect it is the different of the internal clock source. Does anyone know if it is possible to synchronized all clocks by using an external clock source? Thanks in advance.

I am looking for "cavity"-type pressure sensors like the LPS27 or LPS33 but I am having a hard time finding out what the differences between the models are. For the stm32f series the online documentation includes a great comparison chart of the different models and I was expecting to find something similar for the pressure sensors.So far I got:LPS22, LPS25, LPS35: normal, "non-cavity" types (not interesting for me)LPS27HHW: 2.7x2.7mm, 200Hz, low noise, CCLGA10LPS33: 3.3x3.3mm, 75 HzLPS33K: low noise, CCLGA4 (only I2C, no SPI)LPS33HW: low noise, CCLGA10LPS33W: higher noise, CCLGA10The price (digikey) for LPS27 and LPS33K is similar, the LPS33HW is a bit cheaper and LPS33W is the cheapest.Whats the point of the LPS33K, the LPS27 is smaller and better and costs the same?Are LPS33HW and *W just "budged" options or do they offer any benefits that I missed?

In the docu's of VL53L3CX I couldn't find the size of SPAD array. For VL53L1X it was 16x16 pixels, but couldn't find actual data for VL53L3CX.

Hi to all users!I have some doubts about LIS3DSH: I can set different ODR and different anti-alias filters.What about filter? Is it digital? Analog? Which order? I need to compare LIS3DSH noise (on shake table made for noise analysis for seismic purposes) with other cheaper MEMS accelerometers.Usually I use an anti-alias digital filter on MCU but I would avoid to add code if anti-alias filter is already present on sensor, and at same time compare filters...Anti-alias default value (800Hz) , so with ODR = 100 Hz I have no anti-alias filter, may you confirm?Thanks.

I'm using the evaluation board, that is provided with two type of transparent windows. Is possible to known what kind of material are they made ? If I use a transparent plastic film, the range is reduced to 40cm.

I am developing a LIS2HH12 library and I have set all the posibles configurations. I don't understand why when I set the reference and active the high pass filter the output registers have a wrong value. I have did test and I see a strange behaviour, it's like with diferents references value I get the same value on the output register. I think it's because LIS2HH12 doesn't use the reference like a linear value. This behaviour is with the Reference Signal for filtering

I use Arduino Uno and VL53L0 sensor appliction board.I measure a distance long time. (8h or more) But after some time(maybe after 1h or more), it measure distance but it is anormal.for example, normal status distance is 100-120mm, but after some time distance is 340mm fixed. No change anything but distance is anormal and fixed. ​is there system limit of VL53L0 or is it SRAM problem?

Hello, I'm trying to flash a program on Steval-BCN002V1(BlueNRG) sensor with NUCLEOf446RE using STM32CubeIDE. I'm facing an issue related to read out protection. I'm not able to disable the read out protection using STLink utility (Menu-> target->option bytes) .The error I get is "Could not set option bytes, please reset the target and retry". I tried a different option to flash by connecting the 20 JTAG connection on the STEVAL-BCN002V1D(Host board) to ST-link v2 but failed.Any suggestions/tips for what may have caused this error. Is there any other option to disable the read out protection apart from using ST link utility.It would be great help.Thanks in advance, Nitish

We are in middle of our Production process and we are using your LSM6DS3USTR. Here are the setup we have :1. combo mode (i.e Accel+gyro) 2. ODR = Accel(26Hz) and Gyro(26Hz). 3. Input power supply = 1.8V Currently, we are seeing a constant current pull off 460uA with a peak current of 1.392mA for every 38ms Approx. Can you confirm the above measurement which we are seeing? and it would be great if you recommend any other way to reduce the current pull down further. Please find the attachment for your reference
