Hi!I'm reading the official asm330lhh datasheet. There is a sentence "INT1 must be set to '0' or left unconnected during power-on" under Table 17 in Chapter 7. This sentence means that when MEMS is powered on, ensure that INT1 is at 0 level or Does the disconnected state refer to the state before power-on? I drew a simple timing diagram.A or B?​can anyone help?Thanks.Liu

Hello all,I recently got the sensortile.box and was trying to play with the all mems function pack (FP-SNS-ALLMEMS1) but had trouble building the project. I have added an image of the error that I get when I try to build the project. I was able to flash the BLE bin file which was provided with the function pack and it works just fine with the iOS app. However I wanted to play around with the main code and perhaps add new functions to it. In order to do this I would need to be able to build the project.Any help on how to proceed with this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance,VRao.1

I downloaded the latest Unico (en.stsw-mki109w.zip) and unpacked it. Since I'm running Windows, I followed the instructions to install STM32CubeProgrammer. But when I try update the firmware, there is no .bin file in the archive. It only contains a .dfu file. Where can I get this firmware .bin file?

I am developing a driver for LSM6DSOX. According to the datasheet, the module is capable of detecting free-fall, wakeup, motion detection, activity/inactivity, and so on.Is it possible, to configure multiple event detection interrupts (especially since there are only 2 interrupt pins? An example would be very much appreciated?Thanks Tim

Deep in the STMicro Compass example in the STMicro's X-CUBE-MEMS1 code-package there is a call made to the STMicro Motion MC library to calibrate the LSM6DSO magnetometer. The STMicro compass code passes both the magnetometer values and the accelerometer values to the STMicro MC library. In return the library provides compensation values to be used on the magnetometer values. These compensated values are then passed to the Motion EC library. But before they are passed, the comments say that the X, Y & Z magnetometer axes values need to be changed to East-North-Up. Which appears to be simply switching the X and Y axis.All that is fine and good. But I am using the LSM9DS1, not the LSM6DSO. The difference? Well the Y magnetometer axis is flipped! So, naturally I decided to "un-flip" the LSM9DS1's Y axis by multiplying it with -1. That did not work. The Motion MC library was never able to calculate working compensation values! Therefore the compass never worked!

I am using sensor tile to read out the LSM6DSM accelerometers, gyroscope, and LSM303AGR magnetometer data. Accelerometer and gyroscope work well, but magnetometer gives weird output. I set the full scale 50 gauss, the X, Y axis already goes out of the range, and Z axis gives zero all the time. Does anyone encounter this or have some ideas where the problem is?

Hi,we have used LSM303AGR  magnetometer for cupboard Door Open/Close detection and it is working properly.On door close position, i am getting ~0 of every direction as i have done hard iron compensation.Issue i am getting in small cupboard is to open the door, door handle is required to rotate. when handle is rotated completely, Handle iron comes near magnetometer IC and due to that result is deviated. Is there any solution for that?Logic implemented to detect door Open/Close position:Calibration process:Close the door and calibrate it.at that position magnetometer gives ~0 value of each direction as i have done hard iron compensation. Door Open: when any magnetometer axis value is beyond 50 value. Door Close: when every magnetometer axis value is below 15 value.

Hi, I'm testing LSM6DSL FIFO mode. And I have a problem with output data rate.I don't have the problem with reading the data, but my problem is that average data output is about 96.5 samples per seconds while my ODR setting is 104Hz.And here is my question: While I am reading FIFO data, FIFO data is not updated therefore there can be data loss? Hi, (Was: "I would like to use STMicro Motion MC and EC Middle Ware as a normal compass while the "pitch" is positive 90 degrees.")I would like to use the STMicro Motion MC and EC Middle Ware with an LSM9DS1 sensor while the "pitch" of the LSM0DS1 is positive 90 degrees. That is, instead of the normal position (where Z points up away from the Earth) I would like the user to be holding it out in from of them (such as Z now points at the user).Currently, I see the STMicro Motion MC and EC Middle Ware gives random bearings when the LSM9DS1 is in this position (Z pointing a the user & X pointing away from the Earth). I realize this could be interpreted as the expected behavior. But given that the STMicro MC and EC Middle Ware is provided with the accelerometer data, it may also be with in reason to expect the STMicro MC and EC Middle Ware to compensate for the (or any) position the LSM9DS1 may be in.Specifically, is there a way

I have a VL53L1X ToF sensor working fine (I'm using the VL53L1X-SATEL breakout board). However, when I connect another I2C slave device onto the same bus (its a different type of device and has a different slave address), I see ~60MHz pseudo-sine wave oscillations on both SDA and SCL. Any ideas what might be causing this? I've tried changing the value of I2C pull-ups and also tried putting 33R resistors in series with SDA and SCL, but nothing so far has helped fix the issue.

STEVAL-STWINKT1I would like to make it the device open for once an hour for 5 minutes and then turn off after that? Is there anyway to implement this feature and how do i do that?

Going over the application note AN3308 (Pg:27), step 9 depicts that in order to detect event, for example, free-fall, poll INT1 pad. This means checking the the physical status of the MCU pin to which INT1 pin is connected. Am I right in saying that to make this work consistently, after each interrupt and reading out the data, you have to select Bypass mode in FIFO_CTRL_REG, and then put it back into 'Stream-to-FIFO' mode? This seems to make it work, but there's no mention of it in text, maybe a hint in Figure 30 of the app note. Can you confirm?Also, the description of Stream-to-FIFO mode in the app note (9.3.4), says that FIFO content after the trigger will be 30 samples before the trigger, the sample when the trigger was generated and one sample after. That's not what I see: I get the very last sample having the only acceleration higher than the threshold. Hello,I am currently working with LSM6DSO and FIFO functionality.When ODR is set at 52Hz, axis values are correct but when I switch to 104Hz or 208Hz, values are not consistent. I have added my sensor configuration code and image to better explanation. HiI have lsm303agr mems sensor with stm32g4. It uses 3 wire SPI mode. I have problem with SPI communication. I used CubeMX with HAL mode and STMems_Standard_C_drivers for lsm303. The problem is that, when i read whoami register it reads 0x33 which is correct. But the next time i read as 0. Next time again 0x33 and so on. It reads 0x33 and 0 sequentially. SPI times out. I have seen HAL examples written only for Full duplex communication. So, i used CubeMX with SPI in half duplex mode to generate the project. (newbie)I'm configuring the registers using the STEVAL-MKI179V1 & STEVAL-MKI109V3 using Unico (see attached please)I'm planning to use int1=double_tap, int2=sleep/wakeup and to pull over spi from time to time the data (continuous mode).After i configured the registers i installed the accelerometer on a breadboard (only Vdd, Vddio and Gnd connected) . None of the interrupts are working and the consumption is somewhere at 55nA.I think somehow the LIS2DW12 is going into the power down mode... (as i understand the only way to go into the power down mode is to use Single data conversion on-demand mode, but this is not my case)Thank you

I am working with HTS221 Humidity and Temperature sensor on STM32L4 IoT node eval board. So far its working fine as far as inint and read data apis are concerned.
