I have a system containing a LSM9DS1 sampling AXL and Mag at 50Hz (gyro is disabled). When the LSM9DS1 is not attached (desoldered) our system (MCU only) draws about 2mA (10mV average over a 5 ohm resistor). This is constant and stable current of 2mA i.e. almost a flat line.When the LSM9DS1 is attached power consumption increases as expected, however;1 - From graph below min current increases from about 2mA to about 2.5mA (0.5mA increase)2 - However sometimes the system now pulls about 4.4mA at freq of 160Hz (increase of 2.4mA)3 - Sometimes system pulls 7mA (increase of 5mA).This results in the wild plot you see below. Any obvious reasons for this sort of current waveform? I have tried changing lots of LSM9DS1 settings with no improvement. I am under the impression it should draw about 600uA with gyro disabled.Here are my config settings;   configureAXL(0x10,0x00); //CTR

I am using the LSM9DS1 in our application with no problems normally. The gyro, axl and mag sensor all operating as requied. All written settings e.g. +/- range are set ok, and all registers read are giving the right outputs as device is moved around etc.However when I try to turn the device off with the following code is still draws around 5mA all the time. I de-soldered the LSM9DS1 from one board which confirms that it is the LSM9DS1 drawing this power, even after the below commands are run. How do I put the device to sleep? Hi,I'm trying to simply read WHO_AM_I (0Fh). OUT_Z_L (2Ch) and OUT_Z_H (2Dh) registers. But output data is only FFh. Also other registers too. What is the data sequence for simple read function? My SPI bus output is MSB first and clock idles low. For WHO_AM_I I'm sending 0F00h.My schematic and SPI bus views is in the attachement. Thanks in advence for your support.Best regards,

I am using the code provided in the TN1218 sheet, and I've attached a screenshot of my variables.

We have a design with LPS35HW where the part sometimes doesn't respond on the SPI bus at startup. A power cycle clears the issue. Any ideas on what could cause this?

HelloRegarding the IMU LSM6DSL, I was wandering if it available to reach the low-power consumption of the accelerometer (ODR = 1.6 Hz, Idd=4.5uA) with the D6D_SRC event interrupt.My application needs to reach the lowest power consumption and detect a change in position with the accelerometer, if the above is not available, what would you suggest?Thank you

i connected sensortile.box to charger and simultaneously i was uploading the app in expert mode usimg inputsTemp SensorHumidity Sensor Pressure SensorMicrophoneand function as FFTand saving output to sd card it got freexed at red light and app was not uploaded.Pls tell me why is that happening??

The LSM303AGR chip is used in Android device. I use STMems_Android_Sensor_HAL_Input sensor HAL from https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mems-and-sensors-software/drivers-for-mems/androidhalinput.html. Is there calibration module in the STMems_Android_Sensor_HAL_Input package to handle the hard-iron or soft-iron calibration ?I see ST_MagCalibration_API_Init and ST_MagCalibration_API_Run APIs used but no API body is found in this package.

Hello,I am looking to scan a 2D surface with the ROI feature of the VL53L1X. I have been following the doc UM2555 and using the Polulu ST API but I can't get it working properly. The wall is at 1.6m and the object at 48 cm. The precision is not the issue, my problem is that the value returned by the function getMeasurement is 2 "range measure" late.Could you help me find out why?Thanks a lot for your help

I am trying to generate simple code to use with sensortile.box, where i have the LSM6DSO connected and BLE makes a virtual COM port. I HAD incorrectly set up CubeMX to generate the files, so it wasn't actually pulling in mems/ble files. And the binary built could not be flashed onto the SensorTile.Box because the board was not meant for debugging (Why does the board even have a 14-pin header then???????)Now that I've correctly configured the additional software (Why does adding it not correctly set the pins for the selected target board of the project?), I cannot build the project. Multiple files are asking for steval_mksbox1v1_bus.h, starting with the hci_tl_interface.h. How can I resolve this? STM32CubeIDE 1.2.1, with latest packs for mems/bluenrg1, etc.compilation terminated. I am already able to build firmware, which blinks LEDs, but I would like to cut some corners.

The STMicro's Cube-MEMS software contains a function "MotionMC_SaveCalInNVM()" with the comment "No need to call this function, library call this function automatically". I am running the Cube-MEMS code right now. I put a break in the code. But nothing is happening. Anyone know when this function is called?

Indeed, the libraries <Wire.h> and Adafruit_TCS34725.h don't exist for IDE Cube MX.I succeeded to wire the sensor with a WEMOS D1 mini Pro board and a coding example form gitHub uploaded from Platform.io

Hello,I am trying to explore the SensorTile.box functionality using Windows and so far I did not have much success getting any information from it. Presently I am trying to use Unicleo GUI to see any data coming out of the box. So I flashed the binary from the DatalogExtended exampe into the tile and disconnected/reconnected it. First thing, I can see a new COM port and a virtual COM port devices appearing in the DeviceManager when I connect the device. So far, so good.Now I open Unicleo (version 1.10.0.8936) and I can see the new COM port in the Select Device dropdown. Then I click Connect and ...Now, allegedly Unicleo can read data through BLE . OK, I go to Settings and enable BLE support. Nothing happ

Hi, I am using LSM6DS3TR-C sensor. In my application, I require two buffers to store MEMS samples. One buffer contains data before the event and second buffer after the event.Currently, I am using continuous-to-FIFO mode for my application and two interrupts, FIFO_threshold and single_tap. When I enable both interrupts, I get data continuously from the sensor and this is useful for first buffer but on tap_interrupt, I do not have any data for second buffer. Moreover, when using only tap_interrupt, I get data after tap interrupt for second buffer but cannot get data for the first buffer. The LSM6DSOX offers a MLC that calculates powerful features like mean, variance, energy, etc.I did not see a way to just read them from an application processor and use them in my own application. Is it possible to access the results of the feature calculation outside the MLC?

Dear STM Sensor specialist  ..I have a customer who up until now have used 1 LSM6DSLTR on his powerboard.Now they designed a new powerboard with 2 pcs LSM6DSLTR and now they are facing some read out issues.Electrically it is a copy of the old design with the same I/O interface to our MCU.But on the new new Powerboard, they are unfortunately experiencing some errors where the data from LSM6DSLTR periodically stops or or fall out .. They sometimes see 10 mistakes in one minute and at other times no error in 3 hours. We see the error randomly on both of the LSM6DSLTR, sometimes on the number 1sensor and sometimes on number 2, so it seems not to be limited to the specific location on the board but more like cross talking or timing issues ??The question is, whether ST has some good suggestions on what might be the reason, is there special things to  be aware of ? also in relation
