Posted on March 15, 2018 at 17:24Hello,Do you have any information about Vibration Rectification Error (VRE) on the LIS344ALH (2g setting)? Specifically, I am driving the device into saturation. During and following the saturation, I am seeing what appears to be a significant DC offset on the output. This offset eventually decays, as long as the device is not forced back into saturation.Has the behavior of the device been characterized when it enters saturation, especially if saturation is asymmetric in the presence of gravity?Thanks,                              Damon

Posted on March 14, 2018 at 07:40In the INT1_SRC register, there is XH/YH/ZH as well as XL/YL/ZL bits to indicate the (XYZ)H/L event has occurred. But there is only INT1_THS register instead of INT1_THS_HIGH/INT1_THS_LOW. How can I configure two threshold for each axis?

Posted on March 19, 2018 at 00:04Following Tutorial3 of the SensorTile Curriculum, I run into this problem: Launch debug error:  Cannot find binaries. I was able to get through first 2 tutorials without a problem and believe I'm following the same practices, so what gives?I didn't change any settings so binaries should be where they have been before, when running the previous 2 tutorials.I'll appreciate any hints. Posted on March 12, 2018 at 21:45Hello,I am planning to build a concept of level sensing system based on the magnetic field sensor ( ideally 3 axis ) which will be located on the bottom of the canister and flowing on the surface neodymium magnet. What Sensor you could suggest to be used for testing ( I am assume maybe the most sensitive and with digital front end baked-in in order to reduce noise to minimum ). The test will help me to determine how far sensor and magnet could operate giving an reliable information, and also what other factors could affect the readings. Thanks a lot in advnaceJacek

Posted on March 14, 2018 at 02:38I am testing  IKS01A2 with the help of Unicleo-GUI. Recently something confused me. I enabled only one sensor LSM6DSL, and selected Full Scale as 2, ODR as 6600, and saved datalog for some seconds. But when I check the csv file, I found only 697 data per second. But if I change the ODR settings 13, it do output data 13 per second. Is the function of higher output rate blocked? Or is there any other modification I should do before set to 6600?  #odr

I need to know how to connect the board with the AFE board for the receiver part. Also could you suggest some AFE EVMs that could be used with my pulser board ? Posted on January 28, 2018 at 17:21Hello everyone,I apologize if my question is too basic for this forum but i've been reading so many sources in the internet and i am still confused and I am pretty much new in this subject.I want to hear ultrasound by using analog mems microphone between  range 20 kHz and 200kHz. I have several different types of mems analog microphone (SPU0410HR5H?PB, SPU0410LR5H-QB, ICS-40180) and electret (CMA-4544PF-W). I know that the range is out of the hearing range of these microphones, however i read that it could be done. Posted on March 13, 2018 at 09:25Good morning,I'm looking for more information about the LSM6DS3 sensor.Indeed, I want to record the activity of a mouse so I would like to put an accelerometer+gyroscope on the mouse to see its velocity and position.But I don't know if it's efficient enougth (a mouse weigth is aroung 30 g ).Moreover I would like to get the results on Labview to save them on a file and have real time plot. Posted on March 09, 2018 at 07:12The register configuration is as below array which corresponds to ctrl_reg 1-5 of LIS3DH. I read back the ctrl_reg after configure it, the result is correct which means the register is programmed to the value as I wanted. The result I expected is that I could get 12-bit data from OUT_X_L(28h) - OUT_Z_H(2Dh). But the result is I could only get 8-bit data from those registers. The MSB's of the data output registers are always zero. The function I am using to read the acceleration data is copied below as well, where the last parameter of i2c_read as 1 meas burst read. I'm wondering what the problem is to prevent me from getting 12-bit output data. Posted on March 12, 2018 at 14:48Hi,   Thank you for reading my question.   I always get the same values of x,y and z for using FIFO mode on LIS2DH12. The x, y and z values will change for each interrupt of WTM, but the three values are the same.  My configurations are represent as yellow mark at following table I'm using I2C and  SDO is connected GND. I can get the correct WHO_AM_I value (0x33) . I also checked the registers after I set them and they are correct. I also can receive the interrupt of INT1 for reading x, y and z, but the valuesare not correct. The value of FIFO_SRC_REG is 0x00 before I read x, y and z.

Posted on March 07, 2018 at 09:33HiI�m working on a projekt where I have to measure the acceleration relative to the gravitation. I want to get an alert when there is an relative acceleration in any direction greater than x mg. I have tried with the build in high-pass filter and the click function, but I didn�t get results as expected. Does someone have an idea how i can use the build in functions of the sensor to get this working?And I have a second question related to the sensor:When i measure the temperature with the build in sensor, I get the values as 8bit two�s complement, left justified, but I haven�t found out how to convert them to the real temperature. I mostly get values of about -3 or -4 (converted from two�s complement into decimal) in a normal heated room. The temperature range is -40 to 85.#relative-acceleration #lis2dh

Posted on March 08, 2018 at 11:40Hi,I'm trying to use the LSM6DS33 as an inertial navigation aid, participating in sensor fusion. The problem is that the application has large amount of vibrations and the accelerometer data is quite noisy. I need around 25 accelerometer samples per second, so to get a smoother signal I have enabled the analog low-pass filter at BW = 50Hz and the accelerometer ODR is 104 Hz; I average 4 samples manually whilst reading them to get equivalent ODR of 26 Hz with less aliasing.This is better than before, but there's still some noise (around 0.1g random looking noise - measured on a vibrating platform) present in the resulting averaged samples. I verified that increasing the accelerometer ODR to 208 Hz decreases noise (aliasing) further. But that needs more I�C traffic and CPU time, so increasing the ODR even further will be prohibitive.My question is: is it possible to set up the LSM6DS33 to sample the acc

But somehow only interrupt 2 is getting generated. Interrupt 1 is not getting called at all.So, I wanted to check if interrupt 1 is getting generated from the IIS2DH in the first place. So, I removed the Interrupt 2 connection and had only interrupt 1. I used the same configuration that I used for Interrupt 2 generation for Interrupt 1 generation. The board is connected to a SPI/I2C device from National Instruments because I want to integrate the sensor in a LabVIEW measurement software.
