Posted on October 03, 2016 at 18:31Good morning, I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my configuration settings correct on my LIS2DH12 Accelerometer.I would like it to fire the interrupt when an abrupt movement occurs on any or all axes.I have some settings (below) that I'm trying, but it seems too sensitive and sometimes fires the interrupt when it's just sitting there not moving at all.  Seems like there are too many interrelated settings on this, but that's the nature of the beast.  Has anybody got some settings that work well to detect movement on any/all axes ?  The way I understand it is that Threshold is the amount of movement and Duration is the time frame in which that movement occurs.  So a short time frame and a large threshold should indicate an abrupt movement?Any assistance on this would be GREATLY appreciatedAnyway, here are the settings I'm currently using:

SPI serial data input (SDI)3. 3-wire interface serial data output (SDO)In what SPI mode is it used as an input (SDI) and in what mode is it used as an output (SDO)?Does the device support both 3 and 4-wire SPI interfaces?Regards,Prachi #lsm6ds33

Posted on November 14, 2016 at 11:42Hello everybody, I am trying to apply the built in high pass filter of an LIS3DH to all 3 axis. For the x and y axis this works beautifully: When I rotate the board by 90� I see the peak in the data and flattening out again. This seems not to work with the Z-Axis. I always get about 1g when I leave it lying on my desk z-axis towards earth... I don't see any possibility to configure the axes that are used for high pass filtering... Posted on November 25, 2016 at 23:43I wish to filter incoming FIFO data by a threshold value as set in INT1_THS, however the WTM flag is set regardless of the magnitude. Are these two functions not compatible? If not, I need to know how to link the threshold setting to the FIFO data.

This string must be: buffer[1] &= ~HTS221_HEATHER_MASK;

We have loaded Senson_DataLog fusion code with defining OSXMOTIONFX_STORE_CALIB_FLASH.Now every time i power on my Nucleo board Green Led remains ON. so i assume that sensors are calibrated without any physical movement.But I need conformation that ..1]  ''Is there 8 pattern movement required on every power cycle to calibrate or not required once stored in flash?''Thanks & regardsHarsh #open.mems

Posted on November 20, 2016 at 10:26Good morning,I'm developing an application on a STM32L4 discovery board which reads data from the lsm303c and logs those datas on the usb via an otg cable.The issue is that after few seconds the accelerometer stops to send correct data giving the following values: 0 on x, 0 on y and 443 on z.Also the data ready interrupt, which I'm reading for test purposes, seems to start to happen randomly.In the following I attach my project so you can analyze the initialization.Could someone giving a hint on how to properly set up the sensor so it doesn't stop to respond after a brief time???Thanks a lot #discovery #stm32l4 #lsm303c

Posted on October 05, 2016 at 10:46I want to use my STM32F429 Discovery's on board L3GD20 to measure an angle from the horizontal, so I only need one axis. I am able to read the acceleration data but I am unsure about a few things: 1. What do I do with the sensitivity factor? I have it set to 500dps. 2. The datasheet says the value is given in 2's compliment, so do I have to reverse 2's compliment it to get sensible data? My high byte is always FF or FE? 3. How do I get an angle from the acceleration data? I've seen people say you need to  add all the angles together measured in a specific time, a discrete approximation to integration over time? Posted on August 19, 2016 at 06:37Hello, We are working on 9 Axis Sensor : LSM9DS0 which is interfaced with MCU over I2C interface. Please find the attached circuit diagram for your reference. Also, We have checked using evaluation board (STEVAL-MKI154V1) then it works fine with our customized on board controller, but our on board LSM9DS0 sensor not given acknowledgment. We have noticed not getting voltage on C1_XM & SETC_XM , SETP_XM.  Here we are using the below slave I2C address:Accelerometer address - 0x3CGyroscope address - 0xD4We have done below approaches but not getting any acknowledgement.1. Change pull resistor from 10K to 4.7K / 2.2K2. Remove connection of VDD_IO from VDD3. Posted on March 16, 2015 at 07:14At work I am using the LIS3DH accelerometer to detect body motion.  It is configured for +/-2 gs, 50 samples per second, with Streaming FIFO.  The watermark works fine for determining when the FIFO needs to be emptied.  The specification says that all three XY&Z axis can be high-pass filtered using CTRL_REG2 (address 0x21), but documentation is not totally clear.  I'm writing 0x11 to the filter register with no luck.   HPM1-HPM0 are set to 1, 0.  The cut off frequency bits are set to 0, 0 which should give a 1Hz cutoff at 50 samples per second.  Hopefully someone has documentation on configuring the high-pass filter that I do not.  Or someone has successfully implemented the filter and can tell me what they used. #lis3dh-hpfilter

Posted on November 09, 2016 at 07:32I am using LIS332AR mems chip for vibration measurement. Assembled this chip in PCB and PCB located vertical with respect to ground. For every 90 degree rotation of this chip corresponding X and Y axis value changed either +1g or -1g. for 0g condition, voltage will be vcc/2. If change in X axis as +1g Y to be 0g. So the voltage of X axis is (vcc/2)+0.6V(Sensitivity) and Y axis to be (vcc/2). While giving any vibration, it is generating spike for 0.6V(sensitivity) amplitude with 80ms time. Whether can be use this accelerometer for vibration measurement and also for tilt application.
