Hello,I have run into an unexpected problem when trying to read registers from the IIS3DWB sensor. The setup is attached in the picture. I am using an Arduino Uno R3 and an STEVAL MKI208V1 board. Hello ST community,I am unfortunately facing a problem with the MP34DT05-A MEMS microphone. I am using the DFSDM module to read in the microphone. Unfortunately, it happens again and again that extremely strong noise is added at a random time (see picture: At first, almost no noise can be recognized. Likewise after the first peak, which is a clap in the recording. After that, however, there is suddenly a very strong noise). I cannot clearly reproduce the behavior, as the noise sometimes occurs from the beginning, then after 2 seconds and so on. Can the AcousticBF beamforming algorithm from FP-AUD-SMARTMIC1 algorithm be used on the entry-level kit of BlueCoin board (STEVAL-BCNCS01V1) to achieve audio acquisition at a sampling rate of 48kHz?

Hi ST-Team,We want to use the STHS34PF80 for presence detection. I am not very familiar with the sensor, as a just watchedthe webinar about the sensor last Tuesday.I think a good way to check the capabilities of the sensor is the STM32 Open Development Environment (ODE).With Unicleo-GUI we could test the sensor then and get used to it.In terms of hardware we have the STEVAL-MKI231KA kit only, which can easily be adapted to our board which hasI2C bus to connect the sensor and USB (Virtual comport) to connect to the PC.I found the GitHub Entry https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/sths34pf80-pid which provides the driver sths34pf80_reg.cUsing this I can easily pull some registers out of the sensor and send it to a terminal like in the example sths34pf80_tmos_data_polling.cBut how to use X-CUBE-MEMS1 with my custo

I'm currently employing the ST ISM330DLC accelerometer and gyrometer in my application.I've noticed some unusual readings when the gyrometer is stationary, and I would like to inquire whether this is expected behavior.I've opted not to utilize the built-in filters within the chip, and I'm seeking confirmation that my configuration is accurate.Should the frequency of the loop reading the accelerometer and gyroscope match the Output Data Rate (ODR)? In the example I provided, the ODR is 208, but the main loop operates at a rate of 250ms. I opted for this configuration as a test for the chip, and I haven't implemented the interrupt yet to handle speed and angle adjustments.

Hi, I developed lsm6dsv driver on Android CHRE framework. In Android CTS test, some items failed, the reason is "LSM6DSV Gyro Standard deviation out of range: stddev=(0.004091, 0.001167, 0.000378) (expected (0.003456, 0.003456, 0.003456))". How to fix this? Thank you~

We have been using I3G4250DTR for 5 years in our production parts. We have been noticing some recent issues with the I3G4250DTR in that some boards are not sending data (DRDY) at all, or the data is intermittent (less than the 100 Hz data rate). It is happening on about 10% of our boards. The design hasn't changed in the last 5 years. We are suspecting the PLL filter must be causing the issues. We used the recommended parts as per the datasheet. Is there anything we can do to troubleshoot the issue? How sensitive are the values for the PLL? Is there something in the PCB design that could cause the issue (the PCB design has been the same for the last 5 years). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to get the Activity/Inactivity interrupt generation on the LSM6DSL working. I've implemented the example code in the data sheet below. I'm using an stm32L475.However, this interrupt fires constantly, regardless of either the sleep duration time or the activity threshold. From reading the SLEEP_STATE_IA from the WAKE_UP_SRC register, it also appears to always be the inactivity interrupt firing, not the activity one.In trying to debug this, I also tried implementing the other interrupt generators (Free Fall, Single Tap, etc...). These interrupts also constantly fired, regardless of their configurations.However, when I tried implementing the Data Ready Interrupt, it worked correctly. I even slowed the accelerometer down to 1.6Hz to verify.So what am I doing wrong for interrupt generation? Is my GPIO interrupt line maybe messed up?@Miroslav BATEK

Hello, can anyone please tell me the part number for a device marking with "SE"?  I attached a photograph. Our BOM specifies ST IMU iNEMO parts LSM6DS3TR-C and LSM6DSLTR.   The part marked with "SE" is not working like other parts marked with "SH" on the same PCBA. Thanks.

Hello All,I am trying to decide between these two components and looking at the datasheet they seem pretty identical. Are the sensing elements the same? what is the difference between these two families? Also, looking at the ASM330* there are many versions of this product like: ASM330LHB, ASM330LHBG1, ASM330LHH, ASM330LHHX, ASM330LHHXG. What is the actual unit (dBV, dBSPL etc.) for the plot? dB is not relative to Volt or anything. 

I am currently using the LSM6DSO32X sensor on a custom board. I want to connect a custom board to the Unico GUI tool and utilize its features. Is it possible? If possible, how can I achieve that?thank you

Hi team,I am using STEVAL-MKBOXPRO with expert mode. I created a sensor fusion feature through expert mode. But I couldn't upload to the tile box. I tired many times but BLE not worked. 

The ASM330 does not generate correct 4D tilt/orientation interrupt at higher rotational speeds of 200 RPMIt is configured for 4D Tilt detection with highest ODR and highest RangeIs there any rotational speed limit beyond which 4D orientation will not work?How to resolve the issue? Is there any specific filter settings to be used or ODR to be configured to resolve this?

Hello ST Community,I'm currently evaluating a project that requires accurate roll and pitch measurements under light to medium acceleration, preferably in quaternions. I initially tried the BNO085 sensor with its integrated sensor fusion processor, but was unhappy with its accuracy and repeatability, falling short of my 0.1 degrees target.To explore ST's offerings, I used a Nucleo-F401RE in conjunction with the IKS01A3. For data visualization, I relied on the Unicleo-GUI to display the Dynamic Inclination data from the board (using the X-CUBE-MEMS1 software package and MotionDI middleware -> DynamicInclinometer example). I tested this setup with both the magnetometer enabled and disabled, aiming to minimize reliance on the mag moving forward. However, I found both configurations delivered similar results, which suggests the magnetometer may not be a deciding factor for the sensor fusion algorithm to correct the shortcomings of the accelerometer and gyro.The m

Hey folks,I've fabricated a little PCB to glue an LSM9DS1 to an ESP32-S3. As far as I can see, the ESP32 is sending the correct signals but the LSM9DS1 isn't returning anything useful. Here's what I get when I try to read 0x0F, the WHOAMI register, from both the accel/gyro and magnetometer. Signals are CS, SDI, SPC, SDO, in that order:As you can see, SDI shows 0x8F and SDO shows 0xFF while the master is sending but 0x00 while the master is receiving.This is really weird to me because it tells me that the SPI communication is working but the slave device is responding with 0x00.What on earth might cause this? As far as I can tell, the signals match the datasheet specification pretty

If DRDY then read FUNC_STATUS registerPoints 3 and 4 are enclosed within a while loop.We have observed that when the frequency of the continuous mode is set to a higher range, such as 15-30Hz, the sensor functions correctly. Hello!I am trying to create a program where I send motion sensor's data via BLE using evaluation board STEVAL-STWINKT1B. For that, I have used as a guide the firmware example on the board's website (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stwinkt01.html#get-software -- using example project BLE-SampleApp). The problem I am having is that once I start to manipulate the example project (I need to work with motion sensors, not with environmental ones) I start getting a lot of errors I don't really understand. Anybody has a solution or has had a similar problem as I have? I just need a project that reads the motion sensors every XX ms and sends the raw data through BLE. The central device I am going to read the data from is a Raspberry Pi 4B (all the other options the firmware example has wouldn't be necessary).T
