The Q MOSFET's gate represents the MCU GPIO input. The 1M resistor represents the input resistance.I wonder if 2k2 pull-up resistor isn't a bit too low. It makes a voltage divider with the input resistance, and the input resistance is AFAIK "undefined" / very high. Theoretically - it shouldn't matter. Practically - if we left the MOSFET input without a very weak pull-down, it could dwell in high state in case of the input pin floating. Also, I'm not sure if the higher this pull-down resistance is - the more the internal capacitance of the input matters, creating a low-pass filter. Dear Sir,​Generally speaking, the coordinates of the g-sensor on the PCB board have an angular deviation from the world coordinates. Assume that the coordinates of the g-sensor are (Xs, Ys, Zs) and the world coordinates (X, Y, Z) have alpha, beta and Theta angle relationship.If we have a g-sensor orientation as following,How to convert (Xs, Ys, Zs) to (X, Y, Z)?It is confused because when Xs, Ys point to gravity direction, it is positive, while Zs point to gravity direction is negative.Could we have a rule to follow?Thanks.

I have an accelerometer located in an arbitrary position on a car. As the accelerometer already has a coordinate system by default, I want to find some method that allows transforming the data I have from the sensor and aligning them with the coordinate system of the car.When the vehicle is stationary on a flat, horizontal surface, use the three components relative to g-sensor, Gxs, Gys and Gzs(Gxs is the g value obtained on g-sensor Xs, the Gys and Gzs are g component relative to g-sensor Ys and Zs) and make rotation can rotate the Gzs aligned with gravity direction and Xs-Ys plane parallel to with horizontial. But how to align the Xs to vehicle X-axis?In theory, the euler angle can be obtained by rotating the coordinate axis of the G-sensor three times, and use this conversion matrix for conversion. But In practice this is not feasible.Is there any simple way to aligning the coordinate systems of accelerometer and vehicle?T

Hello,My team is developing a product that integrates the LSM6DSM and IIS2MDC, and we would like to use the MotionFX library for sensor fusion. How can we accomplish this, given that we are using a third-party ARM Cortex M4F processor (not STM)?I have already tried integrating the MotionFX library with our project. Though it compiles and links successfully, our MCU throws a hard-fault within MotionFX_initialize.Thank you,Peter

Dear SIR,I found that LSM6DSR got negative value when X-axis is upwards, got negative value when Y-axis is upwards.Why only Z-direction got postivie value when Z is upwards?That seems break the right-hand-rule direction. Is ther any reason for that?Thanks.

Hi, I am developing a STM32L476JG using a STM32 Nucleo for analysis of raw accelerometer data. I wanted to use the ST BLE Sensor app to do some testing, but I am not able to get the device to show up on the list of Bluetooth devices on the app. The battery is charged, and I have tried to connect with my phone when the device is connected to the Nucleo (which is connected to my laptop) as well as on its own. Something that may point to the problem is that the orange LED on the device is a solid color and not blinking, like most guides say it should.

We've designed the LSM6DSO32X (using I2C interface) into a system and would like to use the STEVAL-MKI109V3 tool and UNICO-GUI to test and program the machine learning algorithms. Scoping the STEVAL-MKI109V3/STEVAL-MKI221V1 combination, I find that UNICO-GUI is using I2C address 0x6B for the LSM6DSO32X, but of course in our design with configured it at 0x6A. Is there a (hopefully easy) way to configure UNICO-GUI to talk to an LSM6DSO32X at I2C address 0x6A?

I could not find it anywhere, nor in the datasheet and I need it for an ATEX project.

My main concern is to make a three-axis inclinometer using LIS2DS12.Measurement range +/-10Deg 3Axis, output is 0-5Vdc and RS485 simultaneous output. Is it possible?Your early reply would be appreciated.

I am an experienced embedded software engineer that needs some support and maybe has to add a problem report to the IIS3DWB device. Before I repeat anything already known I got following questions:Is there an errata sheet for the ISS3DWB device?Are there more than one chip revisions? I got an STEVAL-MKI1208V1K Eval Kit with some notable problems and another one which seems to feature only a few of them.If there are different chip revisions, how do I differentiate them?Thank you for your efforts in advance!

Hello,we are a company that works with forklift trucks, and we want to implement the LSM6DS3TR-C for the detection of bumps and/or accidents.The doubt we have is about where the LSM6DS3TR-C module should be placed inside the forklift.If it has to be placed near the engine, near the center of gravity, near the driver's steering wheel...And we would like to know what differences or how it would influence the correct operation, placing it in one place or another.We have been told that these devices should be placed as close as possible to the center of gravity, is this true?Best regards.Axier

In the datasheet of the IIS343DQ it says that you should use a 10uF aluminum decoupling capacitor (chapter 'Application hints'). In the evalboard it is also shown like this in the schematic but if you look in the BOM you find a ceramic capacitor. So is the aluminium capacitor really necessary (stability reasons?) or could it be safely replaced by a ceramic one? Thank you for your help!

I will retrieve this pedometer value infrequently. Is it possible to turn off the VDD_IO 3.3V supply, while maintaining the VDD 1.8V supply, so that the LSM6DSM sensing element can continue in the "pedometer mode"? And when I would like to retrieve the pedometer value, I can turn on the VDD_IO supply to 3.3V, retrieve the value, and then once again turn off VDD_IO?The purpose of turning off the 3.3V VDD_IO is

If my accelerometer ODR on the LSM6DSOX is set at 3333Hz and my FSM (104Hz) checks accelerometer norm for 3 samples (28.8ms) to see if it is below a certain threshold, does it check the accelerometer norm for 3 *FSM samples*?In other words, does the FSM only check and compare the norm against the threshold 3 times, or does it do it for every accelerometer sample that occurs in those 28.8ms (~96 samples).I read the FSM application note and it wasn't 100% clear to me if the FSM could process accelerometer data at a maximum of 104Hz (FSM max ODR), or if it could use the ODR of the actual accelerometer sensor.Thank you

I'm having trouble reading and writing to my Adafruit LSM6DSOX IMU from my Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu 20.04. I need to do it via SPI since I require the bandwidth, but I can only seem to read the WHO_AM_I register successfully. Other registers (see below) either returns junk data or 0x00. I have verified that I can read data off the IMU from an Arduino via SPI, so its likely some software issue. Any insight/ideas what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated!I can read the following registers:0x0f : 0x6c0x13 : 0x1c0x33 : 0x1c0x53 : 0x1c0x73 : 0x1cThese are all random registers however, and the value 0x1C doesn't seem to correspond with anything. for example if i am reading the data of x axis,then Y axis and then z axis ,then there is some delay,i.e..X-axis raw data is at time T1 Say then Y axis is the data at Time T2.So i want to know how data is stored in FIFO.Is all axis raw data filled in FIFO are sampled at same time or there is some difference in time. so please tell me ,how i can get data of all axis of accelerometer taken at same point of time.
