Hi,I try to use MLX90393 with my STM32-F4 DISC board on SPI2. I can communicate with it, read and write non volatile memory, he responds to me.The steps that I'm doing are:Go to Single Measurment mode ( 0x3F )Send Read Measurment command ( 0x4F) Read measurments and go back to step 1.After SM command I get 0x23 status, which means that:I got into SM modeI have all bytes of data to receiveAfter RM command I get 0x33 status:I am in SM modeI GOT AN ERRORI have all bytes of data to receiveThen I tried exiting and reseting, which helps with an error bit, but then after writing RM command i again get an error. Hi, I am reading the datasheet of LSM9DS1 and it says that there are two times (rise and wait) you should respectI was thinking in a sequencer IC but if we see the schematic of the LSM9DS1 evaluation board (STEVAL-MKI159V1) it does not use any kind of external IC to control the power up time, they just connects the Vdd and Vdd_IO directly to the power supply, why?, is there no consequence in supply the IMU without meet the requirements of the datasheet?, thank

As per the question I'm trying to run a ILI9163c based display on the NUCLEO-F446RE. I'm using this library: (https://github.com/Spirit532/ILI9163C_STM32_HAL_DMA). My questions are:The library tells you to put DMA into circular mode. However, after every SPI transmit complete event it calls HAL_SPI_DMAStop. Isn't the entire point of putting it in circular mode to leave it running constantly. I thought it might be to avoid having to manually reload the DMA_SXNDTR register but won't calling HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA to start DMA back up again reload it anyway. Hi, I have been able to get this sensor working, but the issue is that tap/double tap is really, really insensitive. Maybe its the plastic case of the unit, I do not know. I did the tap detection as in example:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lsm6dsm_STdC/examples/lsm6dsm_tap_double.cIs there any good method to calibrate and find correct values? I can sample the accelerometer to a file etc via RTT, if it helps to use Excel etc.Any help appreciated!

I translated the matlab code to C and verified the simulated case has the same results in the matlab and C version. I'm running linux on a am3358. I'm trying to replace the simulated case with data from the lsm303ah readings and run the calibration. I don't think I can just use the direct outputs, integer counts or if it should have the sensitivity values applied.

We are using the LIS2DH12 accelerometer. We want to trigger an interrupt upon motion that exceeds our INTx_THS value. The sensor could experience vibration in its deployment, therefore to prevent false positives we define a INTx_DUR value (the sensor must undergo a certain acceleration value for a certain duration in order for INT to be triggered). We are bit confused what constitutes the duration. Does acceleration have to exceed the threshold along the same axis for the defined duration?For example, if we set the INTx_THS value to be 2000 mg and INTx_DUR to be 100 ms, does the LIS2DH12 interrupt clock reset if the sensor experiences +2000 mg for 50 ms, and -2000 mg for another 50 ms? In other words, would an interrupt not be triggered for this case? Or is it looking at overall magnitude to generate an interrupt.

The LPS22HB has an absolute pressure range of 260 - 1260 hPa. It's possible for the 24-bit pressure output value to fall outside that range. A value < 0x104000 is below 260 hPa, and a value above 0x4EC000 is above 1260 hPa. What should I do with a value outside the absolute range? In my application, I occasionally see values outside the range on two boards, but not on the other boards.

I am trying to connect this microcontroller to Unicleo, but on Unicleo it says that it cannot detect any suitable ports. However on the device manager of my windows pc I see that it is connected as a virtual com port. Is there a step that I am missing here? Or is my board not compatible with Unicleo?

I used the step counter of LIS2DH12 and MMA8542 to make a comparison. I found that LIS2DH12 is a bit slow. For example, we use a step machine to test the bracelet of MMA8542 in 8 hours. The test has more than 60,000 steps, while the number of steps tested by LIS2DH12 Only more than 48,000. During the test, we also found that the response is a bit slow. Our step counting algorithm is the same. May I change the parameters in that respect to make the response faster.

Hello, everyone, we found that the working current is too high during the use of the LIS2DH12 sensor. The current is as high as 290ua. According to the specification, the high resolution of 100Hz is 20ua. The working current is much higher. I don’t know if there is a problem with the configuration. I found Zephyr drivers for 3 different LSM6* devices. These are LSM6DS0, LSM6DSL, and LSM6DSO. My board has, as you probably guessed, an LSM6DS33. I was hoping that one of these could be used, or that one of them could be adapted. Any knowledge to share with me? Ideas?

I have a question about the high-pass filter mode configuration. With the configuration at 0x00, it states in the data sheet that the high-pass filter mode will be in normal mode in which it will be reset by reading the REFERENCE register. Assuming the normal mode it is referring to is the three modes (low-power, normal, high) I assume I can still use the high-pass filter while in low-power mode correct and read the REFERENCE register to delete the DC component of the acceleration correct? Another related question. What is an application of reading the REFERENCE register if I always have the high-pass filter turned on? Perhaps I have a misunderstanding of how it is used, as there doesn't seem to be any difference when calling it. Also, I wanted to confirm that the thresholds for the interrupts are symmetrical around the zero-g level. For example, say my threshold was 1000 mg, my duration is 20 ms, and I am sampling at a rate of 100 Hz. If the acceleromete

In our application, the LPS22HB has ODR=1Hz. Every 10 seconds the pressure is read from the device and converted to millibars. The pressure is generally around 990 mbar, and data collection is done over hours of time. At random times, the pressure value will fluctuate +/- 15mbars around the mean value, with the fluctuations occuring over a span of 1000 seconds. Why would the sensor report data like this? The delta of 15mbar is much greater than the 0.1mbar accuracy shown in the datasheet.

Hi,how to differentiate both chips, if they have the same value for WHO_AM_I register?I know that I could read couple times the accelerometer values, calculate magnitude over all axis and check if the value is near 1g or 0.5g (assuming no movement during measurements), but this will not work if any HP is enabledIs there a simpler way?BR

Hello Folks,Greetings. I have been using STEVAL-STLCS01V1 on one of my IoT project and for some reason have burnt a few of them. I am pretty sure there is no short between the pins as well as no design issue. Has some one faced something similar? It seems to be working okay for some time and then all of a sudden it gets really hot and then not able to connect to to ST link utility.If anyone has seen something similar please let me know.Really appreciate your help.RegardsSubham

Hi,We are trying to measure total current of LIS2DTW12TR. We have circuit board which according to schematic in details. We have 60uA when we measure the current flowing on CN34.  But in the application notes of LIS2DW12 ( i know it is a different model, but i assume the logic is same ) after it completes boot procedure it will go power-down mode. And according to datasheet it must consume 50nA in power-down mode. Maybe it is because of soldering isn't proper, we don't know.Do you have any ideas?Best Regards.

I want to use wake up interrupt for two different thresholds at the same time,for example I want to give wake up threshold 1g for interrupt 1, I want to give 500 mg for interrupt 2. And duration will be different.I change the value of WAKE_UP_THS, WAKE_UP_DUR registers while configuring second interrupt.Is it possible to do it ? How can I do it ?

My understanding is like timer is used to connect pdm clock with I2S clock. Is the input to the timer can be configured using software or hardwire connection between I2S clock and timer input is needed?

Hi, I am using a LIS2DH12 chip to detect the orientation(in 3D space) of a device.For this purpose I'm using the INT pins in 6D position mode to generate interrupt signal/s, that will alert me if the device has exited/entered a known positional area.My problem is the following: when setting the threshold for each used axis, I'm unable to utilize any value below 45 degrees. The application behaves in the exact way I'm expecting it while the threshold value is set for a reference angle above or equal to 45 degrees but as soon as i enter a value below 45 degrees,the interrupt flag starts to occur at output values much higher than expected.This is my register configuration: (using INT2 and only Y axis HIGH interrupt enabled, Normal mode, 10 bit resolution, +/- 2g full-scale):CTRL_REG1 - 0x37 CTRL_REG2 - 0x0CTRL_REG3 - 0x0CTRL_REG4 - 0x0CTRL_REG5 - 0x0CTRL_REG6 - 0
