Hi everyone,we're currently using the L6227Q as a driver for 2 DC motors. Everything seemed to work fine. We put on 3,3V on the VREF_x inputs. Enable the IC with EN_x to high and apply a PWM (100 kHz) at the IN1_x and IN2_x. With the PWM (depending on rotation direction: one PWM signal, the other is low) we can influence the speed of the motors, which works fine.We want to use the shunt as an input for current measurement, so there is an op-amp with some filtering ending in ADC of the MCU.The DC motors have huge filters, recommended by the motor supplier to extend life of the motors to a maximum.We recnognized, the measured current has less to do with the applied PWM and the current measured after the filtering (current input into motor). With this I'm afraid, if the driver is used in the right way?Is it ok, to apply a 100 kHz PWM to INy_x? Or should we use another driver IC like L6226Q (which I found in another thread here in the forum) without R_sense and use a inline current measure

Hi, Team   We are facing issues with test process performed at ICT test station. We are testing driving current to detect Zener Clamp diode 8.2V, the units fail with 2.64688 volts, but this line is connected to comparator TS339I pin 5 that is not power up. When disconnect the pint 5 of this comparator, TS339I, our Zener Diode start works and the voltage 8.2V is present.     Our concern is related with this TS339I that something is affecting Zener's test process when the V+/V- of the comparator are absent, probably the current used for the test, partially is going into the comparator. Do you have information about this behavior and recommendations when this device is tested? Or are there some test recommendations or critical aspects that need to be careful when is under test for these comparators?

Hi all.I would like to use the VN5T016AH-E high-side driver and I have some questions.*Are there 8V in the CS pin under fault conditions?*Can it measure max 4.2A with a K about 4240? Why do you specify 4V in the datasheet without knowing the value of the Rsense resistor?*If I don't need latch-off option, is there an autorestart mode after a fault condition?Many thanks.

Hey,so I was trying to use the VND7020AJ as a driver to loads,and wanted to power the load to 7.2V while powering the high side driver with 12V.Im using a stm32f103rb,and using an outpin pin timer to control the pulse width to the input pin on the driver.It works fine when not connecting the driver to the load,but when I connect it jumps to 12V.Is it possible to pulse width the output or not?Is there a specific frequency that I am supposed to use?The input pin is still under 60%pulse(around 1.9V).Ive tried modifying the pulse while connected to the load but it didnt change anthing on the output.The code is pretty simple,Ive only set the input pin and controlled it:__HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim3,TIM_CHANNEL_3,3000);Clock(8Mhz)Prescaler(8-1)CounterPeriod(10000-1) 

The L9369 is dual channel solution for two rear wheels brakes actuators, but we need only 1 channel for one motor.  Is there special design to combine two channels to drive one motor? If there is single channel EPB driver chip similar to L9369, L9369S? could you share its datasheet? Thanks!

Hi I have some queries regarding the current measurement function for L9963E. @AScha.3 1) Can we change the gain of current sense or is it a fixed gain and what is the gain error ?2) What is the % overcurrent measurement error ? Can we set the overcurrent limits for both positive and negative values and can we change the limits during the battery pack operation dynamically (i.e during charge and discharge) ?3) In the datasheet it says in 4.6.1 "In the range of [-1500 A, -600 A) and (+600 A, +1500 A], the accuracy of ±5‰ is chosen ". so the current measurement error is 5% ?Can i also get the details about this accuracies mentioned in Table 41 of datasheet ?

Hello, I would like to use the converter SPV1050 in a new product of my company but I have some doubts. First of all, the application I need is to feed a harvesting device, which includes a supercapacitor of 5F and 5V. So, I need an output from the SPV1050 to feed my electronic device, let's say I just need a positive pin and negative pin with an output of 5V. Where I should connect the positive pin of my electronic? In BAT or STORE pin?Another question is how I can configure the output to 5V.If you could tell me the configuration I need to perform if I use the STEVAL-ISV019V1I would be very gratefull. Thank you.

Hello,We are using the STEVAL-L99615C board and encountered an issue while testing the Demo1, Demo2, and Demo3 examples. After running the demos, the board became unresponsive. We suspect the issue might be related to the FUSE mechanism described in the L9961 datasheet.According to the datasheet:The FUSE pre-driver can activate under certain permanent failure conditions, such as severe undervoltage (UV), overvoltage (OV), overcurrent, or persistent short circuits.Once triggered, the FUSE pre-driver disconnects the battery pack for safety. I am working with the L9961 IC for battery management, and I have a question regarding how the charging (CHG) and discharging (DCHG) FETs are turned on or off when faults occur.From the datasheet, I understand that:The FAULTN pin is used to signal fault conditions.Specific faults, such as cell undervoltage or overvoltage, cause the IC to disable either the CHG or DCHG outputs.The IC can also latch fault conditions, and the FETs can be controlled externally.My question is:When a fault condition occurs, how exactly does the L9961 decide to turn the CHG and DCHG FETs off?Are there specific registers or internal logic that determine this behavior, or is this purely based on the FAULTN pin state?How can the MCU (or external controller) override or reset these FET states after the fault condition is resolved?

Please confirm, for enable deassertion by long press, PB need to be pressed or both PB and SR needs to be pressed. The datasheets mention two things, Note: I need to achieve EN deassertion by long press with one button and INT pin is not connected to microprocessor.

I am planning to use the STM6601 in my design, which involves powering on with a single press and powering off with a long press. However, my device only has one button. I want to implement a long press to turn off the device, but based on the diagram below, it seems that both SR and PB need to be pressed simultaneously for the EN pin to deassert. 1. Here please confirm whether can I connect both SR and PB to same one button and achieve power on by single press and power off by long press?2. SR needs to be high when PB is pressed during power on, or SR can be ignored?3. Is there any better way to achieve this?Thank you for your assistance!

While programming the STPMIC1A with the USBSTICK – I2C to USB interface, I logged the I2C communication with an oscilloscope. This showed a command "Write, 66, DC 0C" that was send to the STPMIC just before the command to write the shadow registers to the NVM ("Write, 66, B9 01").Exact logged I2C communication:Write, 66, F8 EC 1A C2 08 FA 00 0E 33,Write, 66, DC 0C,Write, 66, B9 01,However I was not able to found such command "DC 0C" on the STPMIC documentation.Could you please explain what is this command used for? Is this command necessary when we are programming the STPMIC via the microprocessor in the application?Thank you very much.

 Dear ST community I would like to use STDRIVE 101 similar to STEVAL-POOL4A board (s. schematic above). But to reduce number of PWM pins used I'd like to pull all the ENx pins to VDD (e.g. +3.3V) and drive only INx's pins by an advanced timer. According to "DS13472 - Rev 2" and "Table 8" on page 17 it shall be feasible. Could you confirm?What would be possible disadvantages of 3 PWM design regarding 6 PWM design?

Hello,I have a problem with the output voltage of 3.3VWith input power up to 6V everything is fine. But when I increase the voltage up to 24V, the output voltage slowly changes from 3,3V to 2,8V. The load is about 50mAI can't figure out what the problem is, I've tried everything. can you please advise me?

I am using this code to read the RMS Voltage and Current. I am also able to get output which I have attached as a .txt file. I would like to measure motor load torque using the FOC Iq current. Am I correct that torque should equal Iq*Kt. I am using the ST Motor Control SDK 5.4. I have characterized the Kt of my motor. I calculate Iq [mA] = Iq_s16 * VDD [mV/(Rshunt*Gain*65536) When I test with a torque meter, I'm calculating roughly 2x the torque as compared to the torque meter. Is there something I'm missing in my calculation?
