Hi!I have STM32F469ZGT6 which is having problems with printf function.If I connect debugger probe STLINK-V3SET all my code runs OK.If I disconnect probe my code does not run at all. Hi ST,We are making product targeting SIL3 safety by using STL library. So, I have few doubts :-1. Is it recommended to have a bootloader in a safety grade product?2. If Yes, then how can I proceed? 3. In normal way bootloader code should be written or with all safety handling as recommended for SIl 3 application?4. And If I start writing as normal bootloader then as I use Flash_Write_Data(ADDR_FLASH_PAGE_63, (uint32_t*)&cardConfigArray_write, 2);. Then STL flash fail error comes even this code is in condition not at all executed.I am using this to jump into bootloader by raising a flag method. 5. Any other point should I keep in mind while writing this bootloader? 

Hi, I want to implement FOTA in stm32, for that I am reading .bin file and send to the controller through UART. I have just started a project and am using the STM32H743. Is there any reason I should switch to the STM32H753? I know they are pin compatible and the 753 has some more advanced crypto features, but I'm more concerned with availability of these parts. Will the 753 be supported longer than the 743? If you were starting a new project would you chose the 753 or the 743, and why?

I've got the I2S working with DMA as slave receiver, works great, bit perfectly fills receiving buffer,until I restart the master, or introduce noise to I2S bus, then it just loses it, fills buffer with nonsense after that.It's not able to resync to same valid signal that was working previously.Sure I expect to lose some frames, life happens to input signal, it should be able to resync. So how can I make it resync?I know that errata says I have to wait for WS high before enabling DMA, but what about after corruption?I don't even know when the signal is invalid since there is no checksum,I can't ask the user restart the device until it starts working..Some audiophile DACs take I2S signal over cable, so anything could happen to it. hi2s2.Instance = SPI2; hi2s2.Init.Mode = I2S_MO

Hi, I want to design a board using STM32F446RET6 MCU. But I have a question about how to properly power the ADC system, and what the VCap_1 pin is. I read that I need to put a 4.7 uF ceramic capacitor with low ESR there. Below is an introductory graphic with a diagram. I added 100nF capacitors based on my previous projects using the STM32F103 series. But this time I will have to perform quite precise ADC measurements and work with the DAC.I was thinking about using tantalum capacitors, but does it make sense?

Hi All, Been reading and learning a lot about MCU's in general. I'm very very new to all of this so please bare with me.The board comes with STM32F427, and a custom .exe that can flash directly via USB-C. I've read about fake STM32's, and. I'm not sure if the MCU is genuine or not, but I'm adding the picture so someone can maybe help.The board comes with Ethernet, 3 USB-A, 1 USB-C (act as UART maybe?)The custom .exe can be flashed via USB-C after I put it in DFU mode I presume? (I hold the boot, it flashes blue to allow the flashing). I can click on flash, restore, or even backup basic configs.I would like to duplicate or retrieve the firmware so I can test it in another board. I tried STM32Cube, ESPtools, and many others, but it doesn't seem to recognize any connectivity.Any help or guidance would be appreciate. Thanks.  

Hello I wanted to create a external loader for STM32F411CEU6 (WeAct Blackpill board) and W25Q64 flash memory chip. I did it based on the tutorial from youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlG2doCkREM&t=1792s I the tutorial i found link to W25QXX libray. And after testing in a simple project writing and reading,i know the libray works, but when i compile the external loader and test it in debug mode, the SPI transmit return HAL_Busy status, only when i debug the external loader project.I tried to lower SPI speed but without success. Why the libray works in a simple project but in a external loader project no. I see no reason why the SPI_Transmit status is BUSY.Here is link to repo (external loader project): 

So DMA can read/write from 16bit SPI DR, to 32bit memory variable, in circular mode,I need to reinit stream, but DMA TX ends up off by one 16bit in destination array,so how can I partially reinit DMA to beginning or array/or even addresses?Without fully reinitializing DMA, since that takes too much time with HAL..S4M0AR  and S3M0AR always point to beginning of arrays, so they don't move around.FIFO is not enabled. So what can cause the shift?__HAL_DMA_DISABLE + __HAL_DMA_ENABLE doesn't seem to fix this shift. Using F401 with HAL.

hey!im working on data logging and want to store all data in text filewhere i want to save date and time with the use of RTC clock and external interrupt based on timer with gap of 1 sec i have things configured correctly for the RTC which works fine but its logging duplicate entries how to solve this error or can you point me in the right direction?

Hi I have a stm32L433, and setup Uart1 for standard TX and RX with interrupt for both send and receive (9600N81 setup). I don't use any hardware handshake . Within the IRQ routine occasionally the USART_ISR_EOBF bit in the ISR is set , and I am not using smartcard mode , and the EOBIE bit is not set in the CR2 register.. I read and display the CPUID and REVID on my project.I see the difference between using an U575 chip vs. U5A5 chip (NUCLEO boards): U5A5: CPUID: 0x410FD214 REVID: 0x30016481 U575: CPUID: 0x410FD214 REVID: 0x20016482 OK, based on ARM Cortex-M33 documentation: the same CPUID makes sense (and it is the same on different boards): the 214 at the end means: CM33 (the 41 should be the vendor).But now I want to verify the REVID:I cannot find any information in the MCU reference manual, neither in the datasheetit looks like, the SCB->CPUID (and REVID) register content is not mentioned anymore in any document (as it was/is in "older" MCUs manuals)I want to check during runtime, on which MCU the code is running: "is it a U5

I am using HRTIM in my project such that the output TA1 of timer A generates a delayed pulse after the timer is triggered via the EEV1 input. Hi ST Community, I am trying to measure system voltage (Lead Acid Battery) using ADC input of STM32F030C8 (PB1). The system voltage can be between 9V and 13.5V () so I am using voltage divider (10k and 1k) to lower the voltage to the 0 - 3.3V range. I am using STM32 Cube IDE. I am making ADC measurements/checking voltage in every 100ms.The problem is I am getting huge fluctuations when reading the voltage. For example, I am getting values between ~11.8V and ~12.3V, when the system voltage is around 12.09V (checked with multimeter). I am not expecting to get exactly 12.09V, but 200 - 300mV offsets/errors are huge for me. I am calibrating the ADC channel before measurement but the error is same.Could you please help me to this issue? Thank you in advance 

Hi everybody,I'm trying to connect to the STM32H743IIT6 on my custom PCB via JTAG. It seems it responds, I traced it with a logic analyzer (attached). I'm not too knowledgeable with JTAG Protocol, but the 0x5253000 the H7 answers seems not to be the chip ID from the BSD file.Consequently, I cannot connect via STProgrammer or CubeIDE. I checked all VDD pins, they're all ok. BOOT0 pin is Ground, NRST is pulled high, VCAP pins are 1V. Pinning is correct.I tried it with STLINKV3SET and a SEGGER J-Link base with the same results. I also tried pulling NRST down before flashing with no result and I looked at the signals with an oscilloscope, they seem alright (attached). Does anyone have an idea? I am out of ideas of what to try. Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm working with an STM32F217 and I have a few timer channels setup as sync clocks to regulators (around 1.5 MHz). I'm checking to make sure my sync lines are actually using HSE as a reference clock by looking at the phase drift between my external oscillator output and an STM32 timer output on an oscilloscope. With the amount of drift I'm seeing it doesn't seem like the timers are referencing HSE. I'm confused though because bits 3:2 of RCC_CFGR say I'm referencing my external oscillator as my system clock.Here are the related register values:RCC->PLLCFGR = 0x24403c18RCC->CR = 0x30b6983RCC->CFGR = 0x940a
