Good evening to everyone,I'm trying to sample various signals, both low frequency and high frequency. For the low frequency, I'm using a timer, while for the high frequency, I'm using DMA. I would like to perform read scans with the ADC, selecting the timer for the low frequencies, and then disable it and sample using DMA. I've tried disabling the timer trigger for the ADC and enabling DMA sampling, but perhaps there's something I'm not enabling or disabling correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Community, I am working on a use case where I have 4 remote MCUs that ideally should be synced with a host MCU. I however have no way to even install an external precision Clock source on these remote MCU's (due to various environmental & budget limitations), while I can accept a precision reference clock signal from any external device that is off-board ie of PCB via one available differential channel on my CAT6e cables. I wish to seek your insights to confirm my assumptions & clear my doubts if I can use this external Clock source to clock the HSE & replace the lower +-5% stability internal 16Mhz HSI on STM32G0B0 MCUs. Point #1: The Datasheet does NOT mention any minimum frequency for the external clock signal to HSE as input clock refernce, so in theory (for sake to my understanding) does this mean I can use a signal as low as 32Khz for driving the MCU? Or am I missing something obvious here?

Hi all, we've been developing some applications using STM32H743BG since 2020 and only now we realized that value of VECT_TAB_OFFSET has been changed according the package used in STM32Cube. AN5290 discusses a workaround for the "When VDD exceeds 2.5V in LDO configuration a glitch on HSE may create a hard fault on M4/M0" issue identified in the errata. In the AN5290 section titled "1.2 LDO configuration for VDD > 2.5 V"  recommends:The recommended values (see Figure 3) are:• Inductance: 1.8 ± 0.1 nH, 6 GHz ± 15% self-resonance frequency, 1000 mA ratedcurrent (for example, Murata LQG15HS1N8B02)• Resistor: 2.2 Ω, able to support 1 W for 5 ns (for example, Vishay D10/CRCW0402e3)However in Figure 3 it shows a 1.2nH inductor.Not sure if this is the correct form to identify these discrepancies, so if someone could let me know the best location for these issues that would be great. 

Hi,I'm using a NUCLEO-L452RE and wanted to check out current in different low power modes.With only the basic pins configured, I can measure <7uA in Stop2. Not bad.using: HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);Problem I have is if I configure the 4 UART ports, an I2C port, etc... then go to stop mode 2, my current is between 200 and 1000uA, depending on what I have configured in the IOC file.Since I'm going to stop mode 2, most of these devices can't be used. Is it really necessary to disable all unused peripherals before I enter stop mode 2? Dear all,I am using STM32U585CIT6Q in Stop3 mode. When one wakeup pin is active, everything works fine, and I can wake up my microcontroller.But when I want to use two wakeup pins (Two wakeup pins are selected in .ioc file and enabled in code), I can't wake up the microcontroller.What could be a problem?Best regards,Ana

Dear friends, good evening.I am facing the following problem with my application using BLE with the MB1641 (STM32WB15CC):We had an app that worked with a device using another microcontroller (Nordic). We are adapting this device to an STM32 platform. This existing app reads the message received via Bluetooth. However, it reads the notification, not the full message.I developed my application based on the ST example (BLE_p2pServer). However, the notification arrives in the app with 20 bytes, and we are unable to access the full buffer (although it is sent). When we use the Nordic application used for testing (nRF Connect), we see the notification with 20 bytes, and when we click on the down arrow (read), we can access the full buffer (62 bytes). In other words, the content can be sent, but we need it to be transmitted in the notification if possible.Is there a way to change the size of the notification (let's see, the notification, not the payload itself)

I am using stm32f334r8 for digital power control. I have configured ADC using cube mx Lower level. ADC reads 0 for 40mv input even though ADC is configured to 12bit and 181  sampling cycles. I also tried calibrating ADC before conversion is started. The ADC channel is fed by low output impedence opamp. I need your help to solve this issue. While powering up all of my Microcontrollers were getting shorted, checked the voltages of all the capacitors and the MCU has a dedicated power line . And checked the ripple and initial power up data,everything is fine only. But still the MCU getting shorted. Is it because of the batch of the purticular MCU (STM32F405ZGT6W

I am working on a custom board design that uses an STM32G474RBT3 to drive the PWM signals to a buck converter and another PWM signal to an inverting buck-boost converter via the HRTIM.  If the PWM signals lock high for more than a few microseconds there will likely be damage to the board.I am using the STLINK-VSET3 to debug and program the MCU.  Most of the time I don't seem to have a problem when reprogramming the MCU to test updated firmware, but every once in a while, I hear a "click".  Most of the time after the click, all seems to be working okay but the MCU begins running at an elevated temperature (40°C to 70°C) and most of the time will eventually fail (a day or two later).Currently, I am not controlling the voltages of the power supplies; I'm just generating a fixed PWM signal open loop to verify that the converters function.  Also, I have not explored setting the PWM signals low in the event of a fault condition (i.e., core lockup, RAM par

Hi, I´m trying to get a STM32G0B1 running with USBPD and a higher PDO voltage (20V). Therefore I followed the instructions in chapter 9 of STM32StepByStep:Getting started with USB-Power Delivery Sink - stm32mcuUnfortunately the user_services don´t compile. Instead I get errors e.g. about unknown typedef, e.g. USBPD_PDO_Typedef has no member SRCSNKAPDO. Btw. Is it possible to get a certain PDO (in this case 20V) just be configuring the PDO in the ioc file?Best regards,Achim

I am currently developing the firmware for a project.  I have two boards, running identical firmware but the operating temperature between the MCUs on the boards has about a 10°C difference, 43°C vs 53°C (confirmed with a thermal camera).We have more boards, but before I go too far with this, I was hoping to get some input from someone on what to expect.  I checked the power supply voltage on both boards and it is identical at 3.40V.The STM32G474 is running at 144MHz with 230.4kBd continuous serial communications.  There are two DSMPS power supplies each using one HRTIM PWM signal from the MCU, switching at 200kHz.There are 9 ADC channels being monitored continuously.  The average main loop execution time it 39us with a worst case of 83us.Any thoughts? 

Integrating USB Functionality and Data Logging with STM32F407VG:Hello forum members,I am currently working on a project that involves integrating USB functionality for data transfer and data logging on an STM32F407VG micro-controller. Specifically, I want to log data files on an SD card and enable the user to download these logged files from the SD card via USB. Additionally, I'd like to allow users to copy files from their PC to the SD card via USB, all through the STM32F407VG using the SDIO communication protocol.I'm facing a challenge in making the USB_OTG_FS (On-The-Go Full Speed USB) and the SD card (using FatFS) work together seamlessly. I have an app running on an STM32F373 and need to save 'presets' as persistent non-volatile data.  Each preset is 500bytes and I would like to save at least 100 presets.What is the simplest method?  Should I use a removable SD card type solution, or is there non-volatile memory I can use which will take enough 'read-write' cycles to be used to save presets?  I guess having a removable SD card solution would have some benefits, like using json file format so presets can be created outside the uC.Thank you,

Hello, I would like to know if there are people who have already configured the SAI with a CODEC to recover the data ? With this link below: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/SAI_device_tree_configuration I can see this figure but I don't quite understand this configuration. I know a little about SAI but not in depth. I don't understand the line SDA from the SAI to the CODEC, what is this line for ? Thank you for your helps. Regards

I have issues getting usart1 and spi4 to work..USART1 "supposedly" work (software side do not complain) but USART1_TX pin is dead, there is nothing exiting this pin, scope shows it is dead. Same on multiple stm32f767zgt6 chips so it is not a dead chip. No clue if I missed something but USART2 works without a problem for e.g.....With SPI4 I have other problem, sendreceive times out, I don't get how a MASTER SPI can timeout, it does not wait on anything... but it times out... no matter what I try, it always times out .. spi1/2/3 work okSTM32CubeIDE is what I'm using to configure and program

I am restoring the programming of an old project on STM32L162ZDT which was using STM32L1xx_StdPeriph_Driver. Switching to STM32CubeL1 LL library (not HAL) gives me problems with FLASH and EEPROM support. Is there any tutorial on how to get through?
