Hello,I am using an STM32H7 MCU with STM32CubeIDE to communicate with a BiSS-C encoder in SPI RXONLY Master mode.My goal is to generate 64 SCK clocks every 10ms without delay.However, I am observing the following issue: Each time I call HAL_SPI_Receive(), SCK stays low for around 10 microseconds before the clock output starts.This happens regardless of SPI speed.At 1MHz SPI clock, the delay is around 10us.At 2MHz SPI clock, the delay reduces to about 5us.But there is always some delay before the first SCK pulse.The same code and settings on an STM32F103 b

Hello everyone,I’m using two STM32 MCU on baord with (BlueNRG-MS)  stacked within, each running the same firmware that have BD_ADDR . When I power both boards on, I expect to see two separate entries in scanner apps like LightBlue or nRF Connect—but I only ever see a single device listed.I tried to change the local advertising name but only one board im able to see it at once, it seems bcz of their similar uuid it is like that.       I’m looking for guidance on:How to ensure each BlueNRG-MS module truly advertises with its own distinct addressWhether there are any special steps or best practices for writing a random static address via aci_hal_write_config_data(CONFIG_DATA_RANDOM_ADDRESS_OFFSET, …)Scanner-side settings (e.g. duplicate filtering) or firmware tweaks that will guarantee all devices appear simultaneouslyI have added the bluenrg c file for better understanding an

I followed the steps in this demo workshop to upload a simple program to toggle LEDs to the Nucleo-N657X0 board. The project is in FSBL. I can run the code in debug mode and upload the signed program to the external flash on the Nucleo-N657X0 board with STM32CubeProgrammer. However, when I tried to run the code with the 'Run after programming' option, I got the warning that the core is locked up. Besides, the Option Byte tab and the Erase tab are gone when the ST-Link is connected (See figure below), so the commonly suggested fix of modifying Option Byte is not possible..  My board is NUN657X0Q$CR1 (MB1940). I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0. The CubeIDE is v1.19.0. The firmware is STM32Cube FW_N6 V1.2.0. The SigningTool is v2.20.0 as the programmer.  I wonder if there a register that I can check to see the state of the MCU

So, I followed the following video step by step for a "project with a custom board" (video minute 13:04)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbdFHmMOMwkI am working on an STM32G0B1CBT6The code is generated and can be built, but as soon as I enable the Utilities->GUI_INTERFACE in CubeMX, the generated code results in a Hardfault during initialisation ( to be specific in the in the file Utilities-> GUI_INTERFACE->bsp_gui.c) during execution of the line number 80, that is    if ((0xFFFFFFFFu != *((uint32_t *)_addr)) && (MagicNumber != *((uint64_t *)_addr)))   Any hints on how to proceed debugging?Thanks!

This is a follow up to my previous post at:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f103ret6-bare-metal-spi3/m-p/819878#M282227I got the boards built, and I'm starting testing.  SPI3 is not functional, so I started stepping through and checking SFRs.  One problem I'm having is that PB3 (SCK) and PB5 (MOSI) refuse to configure as alternate function push pull. In lines 26-33 below, PA15 goes to output, alternate function push pull just fine.  But PB3 and PB5 will only go to output, and open drain.  In line 35, I even tried to force the mode bits to "10" (alternate function push pull), and when I observe the mode bits for PA3 and PA5, they get set to "11" (alternate function output open drain).  My current attempt at SPI3 initialization is:void init_

Hello everyone,I use a STM32G473VEH (TFBGA-100 package) and use it as USB PD sink:The device is bus poweredCC1 and DBCC1 are connected (same for CC2 and DBCC2) to provide dead battery functionality (provide 5.1 kOhm pull down on CC)USB C connector pins are directly connected to CC1/DBCC1 and CC2/DBCC2 (no special protection ic is used)When connecting the USB PD supply the CCx line is pulled down and after it is stable for 100ms - 125ms (depending on the power supply) the 5V are provided. Hi, I am working on STM32C071 I wrote code to jump to ST bootloader from my application. The code seems to work well, after jump to ST bootloader, I can connect to ST Bootloader by USB, using STM32CubeProgrammer. I can read flash data, option byte.... But if I do erase flash or change anything, STM32CubeProgrammer throws a failed message and exit STM bootloader mode. Hello,I am trying to extend DTCM to 256K. I followed FLEXMEM Configurations example but I get HardFault as soon as I try to access DTCM in 0x30020000 - 0x30040000 address range. Could someone please provide working example of how to extend DTCM to 256K?

I am experimenting with a STM32G431 dev board (breadboard friendly) but eventually the project will use a STM32H723 mcu.I am generating PWM and PWMN signals with dead time using timer 15.  I need to generate additional signals based on these two and I would like to configure interrupts on the PWM and PWMN rising and falling edges.  I could short the PWM and PWMN pins to adjacent pins and configure those as EXTI inputs.  However, in a reply to another thread user @TDK said it is possible to configure a pin as both PWM and EXTI input and thus generate interrupts directly from the PWM signal.  This seems like a much better solution but unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to do it.  In STM32CubeMX if I configure a pin for PWM, then try to configure the same pin as EXTI, the PWM is disabled and the pin is configured just for EXTI.  And vice-versa.

Hello team,Good day,I am having USB Disconnect Issue with my custom board based on STM32F303 Device, configured as USB HID in Firmware with Full speed. Schematics attached here with.It is Self-Powered board and no VBUS Detection implemented, Currently.USB Cable from HOST PC will always plugged into our Board and upon power on it detects the Board as HID device successfully. and communication works fine as well.  Issue is : During real-time communication windows HID Function finds device disconnected. PC application is based on MFC VC++.We are not sure if it is beacuse of Noise or Immidiate VBUS Detection ? Regards,Bsuthar

I am just getting started with the stm32h723 ADC.    If I create a regular sequence group of several input channels, how does my ISR know which channel was sampled last (which channel's data is in the DR)?  I don't see this in the registers.Thanks,Mark 

I am measuring time time it takes to do ADC conversions on an STM32H753ZI Nucleo board, using the function function HAL_ADC_Start_DMA().  This converts 6 channels of ADC3, using 16 bits, with DMA.  The one function call handles everything including DMA transfer.  Then I am waiting for DMA to complete using interrupt handler HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback().  I am surprised how long this is taking and would like to ask if anyone has ideas on how to speed it up, or if perhaps this is expected.  I set this up using CubeMX as follows:  ADC clock is10MHz. (I think max is 12MHz for 16bit ADC with LQFP144 package)CPU clock is 100MHz.ADC3 channels 0 thru 5 all have sample time 2.5 ADC clocksADC3 is set for 16 bits, conversion time = 8.5 ADC clocks I believeThis is a total of 11 ADC clock cycles, or 1.1usecSo for 6 channels total time should be about 1.1usec x 6 + DMA time, which should be 7-8u

I’m working on a program to transmit data over SPI1 and SPI2 using DMA. For output I only use each peripheral’s CLK and MOSI lines. SPI1 and SPI2 differ only in the exact data being sent—their configurations and the number of bytes are identical. Also, when driving the lines I first need to bit-bang them, so I disable the peripheral, toggle the pins by software, and then re-enable the peripheral. With an oscilloscope I confirmed that SPI1’s CLK and MOSI, and SPI2’s CLK, all switch as expected—but SPI2’s MOSI never toggles correctly. I believe the peripheral setup is correct, yet when I remap SPI2-MOSI from PA4 to PA10, it works perfectly. Do you know why PA4 fails to output MOSI? Below, (1) is the code that was active when SPI2-MOSI was on PA4 (no output), and (2) is the code active when on PA10 (correct output). The PCB layout is already fixed, so if PA4 can’t serve as SPI2-MOSI it’s a serious problem. Now, I'm using Nucleo-G071RB fo

I am looking at a project where I would typically use an SBC, but wondering if ST has enough usb host support to accomplish this with existing usb stack software.  If so what would be recommended models?   Will be used as a usb host only (role change not required). Need to be able to work with usb 2.0 hubs (3 levels) and identify which port a device was plugged into.  Also wondering if usb HS vs FS would make a significant difference if I am supporting 20+ usb devices from the host management side? Need to mount usb mass storage device and read a file. Need to communicate with usb serial device (ttyACM). Thanks for the insights!

Maybe it is not supposed to be used like this:Regular receive interrupt handler and using LL_USART_TransmitData8 function.Then sending a larger configuration file using HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA on demand.This leads to these flaws:1. HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA activates TC Interrupt which is not handled, garbage is sent after endof DMA unless LL_USART_DisableIT_TC(USARTx) is called in the DMA interrupt.2. next time  you try to start HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA does not work because of huartx.gState Busy flag, huartx.gState &= 0xfffffffe needs to done in the DMA interrupt. 3. if implementing 1. and 2. The second time of sending the configuration file misses one character, if LL_USART_TransmitData8 has been used in between, because USARTx->CR3 is 0x00003080 after using DMA, setting it to USARTx->CR3 = 0x3000; prevents losing one character.So I found "solutions" for these flaws, but I'm not happy with i
