I'm shopping for MCU / MPU hybrid processors like the STM32MP1, targeting applications that need Ethernet connectivity to both the MCU and the MPU. Simultaneous connectivity would be easiest to plan for, but selectable connectivity might also work.I would like to understand the topology of the Ethernet connection within the STM32MP1 among the Cortex-M and Cortex-A. I've scoured all of the STM32MP1 documentation and can find information only about the Ethernet component itself, and nothing on how it can be assigned or shared among the integral Cortex-M and Cortex-As. The STM32MP1 product introduction states that "most peripherals can be allocated to either the Cortex-A7 or Cortex-M4 cores". If this applies to the Ethernet MAC, does that mean that it can be allocated to only one of these at a time, not both? Can the allocation be changed on a running system, and does this require a reboot? Where is the mechanism for allocation documented?If the Ethernet interface is allocated to the Cort

hi all ,i have a situation,1. external supply vdd given to cpu, with application running on it2. usb-otg is connected from computer to stm32mp1 which provides v5.3. power off/take off external power supplyideally unit should be OFF, but CPU is getting supply from PC-computer, has any one have suggestion ?how to make only power on and off via external board supply only after application running?

Hi All,Please I`m working on a project that uses kvssink ( Aws Kinesis Gstreamer Plugin) that project uses log4cplus and openssl what uses Perl. During the cross compilation there are many perl modules missing from the SYSROOT what is the latest DevelopmentPackage . In fact checking the SYSROOT folder the files and modules are really missed. Those files are present on the DistributionPackage I had used to populate my STM32MP157C-DK2. So, finally the question...Why those files are missing if the Perl is installed on the DevelopmentPackage ?How can add / install those files to the DevelopmentPackage Sysroot ?Thank You All !Fabio Boaretti dos Santos

Hi,I have already post a similar issue in the previous post.I'm using initramfs shell using initramfs-framework in Yocto environment.I found that watchdog reboots after some time (the default is 32 seconds) if the initramfs doesn't fully boot the system by entering systemd.The weird thing is though, this happens even WATCHDOG_HANDLE_BOOT_ENABLED is set correctly.According to the source code of watchdog_dev.c in Linux Kernel if WATCHDOG_HANDLE_BOOT_ENABLED=y is set the kernel watchdog thread should handle watchdog correctly until a userspace program (systemd?) takes over /dev/watchdog. However, watchdog still reboots the board.https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v4.14/source/drivers/watchdog/watchdog_dev.c#L1124I set similar yocto environments (with WATCHDOG_HANDLE_BOOT_ENABLED=y) in Raspberry Pi 3 and Beaglebone Black, and their kernel seems to handle watchdog correctly as they don't reboot in initramfs environment for a long time. Only STM32MP1 seems to have problems with watchdog.

I am trying to enable some GPIO as external interrupts and have run the GPIO example where the user button is set as an interrupt. Is there any resources that show what GPIO can be used as external interrupts? For example, I would like to set one of the Arduino GPIO as an external interrupt pin if possible.

Hi,I'm working with the stm32mp157f-dk2 and with OpenSTLinux and I'm trying to create a GATT service for provisioning the wifi credentials.The problem is, according to https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_scan_BLE_devices I should be able to run the gatttool command. Unfurntently I'm not. I have already re-flashed the OpenSTLinux and I also have reprogrammed the kernel.I'm running the OpenSTLinux 5-4 20-11-12.What should I do? I am using GStreamer to stream live video from mjpeg cameras.
