STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

  Hello, I am working with stm32H755 and FreeRTOS. After setting up debugger, I start debugging the program. the code is built fine, then get this error msg(attached picture) only if i enable FreeRTOS from the setup window(attached picture) . But i need to use freeRTOS. How can i solved this issue?  Any support is welcome. In documentation (RM0503), I2C CR1 register contains SBC bit field (Slave Byte Control), at position 16. Unfortunatelly, LL driver files (actually stm32u073xx.h, which is referred by driver files) have no corresponding defines.

I'm trying to get some adc values from my nucle-mb1549-ws but no matter what i do, i can't seem to get any values. Below i have attached the main.c file source code. Below is an image of my .ioc file to give you an idea of what is happening. I am trying to get a reading from the ADC_IN5 which is on PA0.  Below the orange wire should be connected to PA0, that is just connected to 3.3V or ground (supplied by the Nucleo board). Is there something wrong in my wiring or in my main.c file?     

Hi,I recently downloaded the general Linux install package en.st-stm32cubeide_1.16.1_22882_20240916_0822_amd64.sh.zip from https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html.Using Ark, this was extracted into subfolder ~/Downloads/en.st-stm32cubeide_1.16.1_22882_20240916_0822_amd64.sh. I then "cd" into that folder and started the installation using "sudo sh st-stm32cubeide_1.16.1_22882_20240916_0822_amd64.sh". At the prompt "STM32CubeIDE install dir? [/opt/st/stm32cubeide_1.16.1_2]" I typed "y". I thought that the installer was suggesting the directory that it would default into which it would install the software. The rest of the installation seemed to progress "normally". When I subsequently tried to start up Stm32CubeIDE from /Applications<Launcher>/Development/STMicroelectronics Stm32CubeIDE 1.16.1, [BTW, the icon there is just that of a sheet of grey paper with the top right hand corner folded over] the system responded with the following notification."Launching STMic

Hello team,I am using adc pins to detect voltage. In cube IDE I do adjustment to get ADC clock as 75MHz. But in the datasheet it is mentioned that for that package max adc clock is 50Mhz. Still cubeIDE(in .ioc file) does not shows any error and compiles the program. So currently adc is running at 75Mhz/50Mhz? Also refer the configurations belowController- STM32H745 LQFP144ADC- 16 bits, trigger by timer4

I am unable to get ITM debug working via either CubeIDE or Cube programmer.  I have checked the sysclock matches the sysclock configured for the system.I have tried various limits and auto for the SWV clock.I have enabled SWV in the debugger config.In cubeIDE I see no data (port 0 is enabled on the ITM Data Console).Looking at the log in cubeprogrammer I can see that SWV connects and then disconnects instantly when I click Start on the SWV tab.Logging and analysing the signals I can see that SWDIO drops at about this time.  Any ideas?

I am using Microsoft Surface Laptop with ARM processor.Laptop I am using is - Microsoft Surface Pro 13" with Snapdragon X Plus (10 Core) processor. I have installed STM32 CubeIDE and it does install. But while I try to upload code, it fails saying -"No ST-link Detected"  I can also see that drivers are not installed on device manager. I really do need to work and test on things on the go. I am sure there is a way to work around this. Looking forward to help. Thanks.

Hi,I've just updated my CubeIDE to 1.14.0. When trying to open .ioc I get error about MX compatibilty.I edited .ioc in a standalone CubeMX 6.12 tool. This error suggests as if CubeIDE had its embedded MX, independed from standalone MX ?If possible, how do I update CubeIDE's MX version to 6.12 ?Thanks

Hi, just installed STM32CubeIDE 1.0.2 on a laptop with a 4k UHD display.The editor (the Eclipse part) displays fine, but the Target Selector and "Cube" interface are really small. How to fix this please?Thanks

Hi,i am not able to create an example project because i always get the message "Your IDE is missing natures to properly support your projects" after i want to finish the project setup. What does this mean?If i cancle it, i am not able to build the project, because the "Hammer Symbol" is not active:in CubeIDE 1.14.1 for example it works.  

I hope this is the right thread for my question. I recently decided to switch to STM32CubeIDE from the online compiler as there is debugging and is offline capable.I downloaded STM32CubeIDE and went to create a new STM32 Project. I selected my dev board and the firmware files automatically downloaded and unzipped. I then accepted all the default settings, however the error "Code generation could not be done because the necessary firmware package is missing. Not able to complete STM32Cube project creation." was thrown (and is thrown every time I try).I have tried re-downloading the firmware files (which is painful due to having a very slow and expensive connection because of where I live, hence the desire for offline) and tried suggestions like this: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000NzOxxSAF/errors-in-stm32cubeide-firmware-update-offline with no success.I also do not know what files I actually need, what the error in the second image means or how to fix it, and what I need

Why am I getting 2 different fonts in these Memory views?If I now create a new view, it uses a different font: It seems that it only happens in a newly-created view; if I switch from that last one to one of the earlier views, then switch back again, it's changed font to the same as the earlier 2:   

I have a complex project that has multiple sub-projects inside. One of these projects has an additional .ld file called "STM32L431KCUX_SHARED.ld". This file is a linked resource in other sub-projects and normally it works without an issue, every "STM32L431KCUX_FLASH.ld" of these sub-projects have " INCLUDE STM32L431KCUx_SHARED.ld" manually inserted. The SHARED file is in the same folder as the FLASH file of one of the sub-projects.The problem is, sometimes, when I generate code from IOC project, the ld.exe file refuses to see SHARED file. After entering in Stop mode 2, it wakes up by RTC or EXTI2 using those functions:   __HAL_RCC_RTCAPB_CLKAM_ENABLE(); HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); SystemClock_Config(); HAL_ResumeTick();   When I load the program with the ST-LINK/V2, at that moment everything runs correctly, it wakes up, read LPTIM1 etc. But once the code is loaded, when I reset the system it gets stuck in the SystemClock_Config();. Specifically in the HAL_PWREx_ControlVoltageScaling(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE2) function.I am using a custom board and the SMPS Power Regulator.

Hello, I'm having an error and need helpIn NormalTask, I am getting an error at line 250. I want to hold the Semaphore and when I press the button, it will release the Semaphore. The error I'm getting is that the task automatically releases the Semaphore which means line 250 is inactive. Hope everyone can help. Thank you very much

Hello Cube IDE teamI am using STM32F427ZG MCU board with STM32CubeIDEBut I have trouble to generate *.bin file after building with CubeIDE.I think it support *.elf file only for now.If below command can be added into makefile, then *.bin file can be generated by CubeIDEarm-none-eabi-objcopy -O binary STM32F427ZG.elf STM32F427ZG.binI modified this file to generate *.bin file but every time building the IDE project, makefile was re-generated automatically by IDE so i couldn't test it.Could you update it to generate *.bin or *.hex file?

Greetings,This is my first ever post on the Forum so if I selected wrong tags for the post or wrong Location feel free to inform me.I'm using an STM32F410RB Nucleo board and I would like to experiment with register level coding instead of using HAL.I would like to start by learning the system clock configuration but CubeMX automatically generates the SystemClock_Config function.I would like to disable this setting but CubeMX doesn't allow me to uncheck the RCC Code Generation box under: Project Manager > Advanced Settings > Code Generation (picture below).Is there a way to uncheck this setting? Is it possible that for F4 series this cannot be changed?[The "Do not generate function call" only disables the function call in the main.c file so it's useless...]Thanks in advance for any help.BTW as you can see I've selected the LL Driver selector instead of HAL and the default SystemClock_Config udated accordingly. What's the difference between using the LL drivers and coding directly

I have a stm32H745I-Disco and I would like to use some UART and I would need it to be through one of the pins that the board has called arduino connectors.I was able to use the USART1 without problem but now I want to use it together with the display and I realize that the pins PB6 and PB7 are being used by vsync_freq and render_time.What can I do? The schematic is : https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1381-h750xb-b01-schematic.pdf
