I've had this problem with an ILPS22QS and now I'm having it with an LPS22HH. It has me completely mystified. The issue is like this: The pressure sensor works as normal for a week or even multiple weeks and then all of a sudden it enters a mode where it no longer reacts to pressure changes properly. Instead it looks more like a capacitor where pressure peaks increase the value of the sensor and if there are multiple in quick succession they add up. Once the pressure goes back to environmental pressure the value slowly goes down. A picture illustrates this better. The picture is a recording of pressure values from 2 sensors of type LPS22HH on the same PCB. They've both been working fine for about a week now. Today one of them entered the weird-mode. Power-cycling does nothing. I've unplugged and replugged the PCB multiple times. The firmware of the PCB has not been changed, nor does it have non-volatile memory that could change its behavior. I am leading a project in the automotive sector where we are using the ASM330LHH for mass production (we have assembled more than 2000 units). Our reading method involves not using the DATA-READY or interrupt; instead, we read at a rate of 417 Hz with our microcontroller's clock. To verify that the temperature compensation meets our quality standards, we conduct a temperature test ranging from -30 to 95 degrees on all units. During testing, we've observed that approximately 40% of the units exhibit spurious measurements at a specific temperatures. This issue is reproducible over time; repeating the test with the same unit consistently shows problems around the same temperature. These anomalies are spikes, consistently appearing in the X and Y-axis gyroscopes but never in the Z-axis gyroscopes or accelerometers. The BDU register is activated. I would like to understand why these issues might be occurring, as they significantly impact production. Thank you

I'm currently working with the LSM6DSV16X IMU and would like to connect an external sensor—specifically the SHT40 (a humidity and temperature sensor from Sensirion)—via the Sensor Hub feature.My hardware setup uses SPI for communication between the microcontroller (master) and the LSM6DSV16X. Hello, I’m working with the LIS2DW12 vibration sensor for single-tap detection. I have configured the sensor registers according to the application note for enabling single tap. When I continuously read the TAP_SRC register in polling mode, I’m able to detect single taps successfully. However, I want to use interrupts instead of polling. I have connected the LIS2DW12’s INT1 pin to the PE7 GPIO pin of my STM32L496 controller. Hi,I am working on an accelerometer interrupt using the LSM6DSM. In AN4987 I found that I can configure the slope filter to use a window of WK_DUR samples that consecutively exceed WK_THS based on the given formula. I found good threshold settings for the slope filter, but that required me to filter out unwanted interrupts using the WAKE_UP_SRC (if X_WU or Y_WY and not Z_WU) after an interrupt. Is there a way to use a binary operator to filter out interrupts on an hardware level?That lead me to believe that I would need to use the high-pass filter. However, it is not explicitly stated how exactly the wake-up interrupt behaves, the only clue that I found was the following statement:"The wake-up interrupt signal is generated if a certain number of consecutive filtered data exceed the configured threshold". Would that be for a given window (WK_DUR) that every sample should exceed WK_THS compared against the previous sample?Thanks,Bart

Hello ST engineer, our company is currently using your iis3dwb MEMS sensor. We have encountered an issue where we have found that its sampling rate is not the standard 26667 in different environments and varies depending on temperature. Additionally, during frequency domain conversion, the frequency spectrum waveform is shifted due to inaccurate sampling rate input. Do you have a solution to this problem? We have tried linear interpolation, but the effect has been poor.

In the datasheet at page 13, the sensitivity is of 2096 LSB/hPa instead of 2048.

The measurement data of LIS2MDL was read in the application. Both the Y and Z axes were normal, and their data changed with the position. However, the data of the X axis was abnormal, and its value was the same as TEMP_OUT. Moreover, it was not related to the position. Hello,I use the STEVAL-MKI209V1K with the IIS2ILCX sensor. I am trying to get the IIS2ILCX communicating with a second IIS2ILCX via sensor hub. The master sensor is connected to my MCU via SPI. Please find my „schematic“ and the configuration code below.My problem is, that I cannot observe any I2C communication between the sensors. My oscilloscope just shows 3.4 V for each SCL and SDA. I am having STEVAL-STWINKT1 to be interfaced on USB channel for ST MEMS PC application.I have flashed DATALOG2_Release.bin in eval kit.I can get the ST MEMS PC Application showing the vibration sensor analysis graph. See attached.However, the issue I am facing is when the ST Eval board is moved from the desk to up in the air (only 1 cm). The firmware is hung, and the USB connection is lost. Can you suggest what is wrong with the firwmare?Also, if possible, I would like to connect the kit BLE channel with the ST MEMS application but it does not connect even then on MEMS applicaiton. Hello ST team,I’m currently developing on the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 platform and encountered an issue when transitioning from the application firmware to the bootloader.Specifically, after executing a jump from the application to the bootloader (located at 0x08000000), the bootloader hangs during CPU2 initialization. It gets stuck at the following function call:SHCI_C2_BLE_Init(&ble_init_cmd_packet);This only occurs when jumping from the application. When powering on the board directly into the bootloader, everything works as expected, and BLE initialization succeeds.I have ensured that:CPU2 is not held in reset by the application before the jump.The jump procedure clears necessary registers (SCB->VTOR, stack pointer, etc.).Despite this, SHCI_C2_BLE_Init() does not return or proceed further.Has anyone experienced similar beha

Hi, I am trying to create test the STEVAL-MKI194V1 for a test vehicle, which has LSM6DSR. However, I do not get an initialization response from it using the Zephyr device tree. So, I did a test (without the DSL driver) with the spi shell which gives me the correct chip ID output. Is the DSL driver compatible with the DSR? OR would I need a separate driver for both ?  Thanks, Devang   

We are using the LIS2DW12 accelerometer in our custom product. We understand that this sensor can detect movement or positioning along the X, Y, and Z axis. However, in our application, we need to detect when the device changes its orientation in terms of degrees—for example, when it flips or tilts significantly from one position to another.Can the LIS2DW12 generate an interrupt based on such orientation changes (e.g., using 6D orientation detection)? We are looking for a way to trigger events when the device is rotated beyond a certain angle.Thank you
