Hello everyone, i apologize for my bad English. I use HTS221 in one of my products, i tested it on evaluation-board and it worked perfectly so i decided to use it in production and I already produced 400 PCB in 3 years. Here is my test code, that I single-step to observe the reg_status first, then write what I think should start the device, but I see nothing on INT1. We are looking for a sensor that can identify tilt angle with respect to gravity. I have been looking around at 3-axis accelerometers but cannot be sure if these will work as a tilt angle sensor. Hi, I am trying to integrate the STMems_Linux_Input_drivers for the LSM9DS1 into the custom kernel written by one of team members. However, I am not able to find the sample program or test program to test the drivers. My SOC is Texas Instrument TSM570 series. Is there any such code already available in the STM github. Hi,Based from the LSM303AGR CTRL_REG4 FS[1:0} Full Scale Selection are (00: ±2g; 01: ±4g; 10: ±8g; 11: ±16g). I tried all settings and it is reversed. So, setting 00 is +-16g. So is this an error in the datasheet?Regards,Markel

We're designing the LSM6DS3 into an existing product that already uses a 2V5 supply rail. The LSM6DS3's spec sheet says that running it at 2V5 is well within spec, but all of the examples refer to a 1V8 supply. Is there any reason that a 2V5 supply is UNdesireable? Generally we try hard to run parts at the recommended or example supply voltages. In this retrofit case it would be very convenient to use the existing 2V5 rail, but not if the part really works better in some way with a 1V8 supply.Thanks!

Hi,I struggle to use the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board with Windows 10. The VCP serial port is detected, but the OS is unable to attach the right driver (a yellow exclamation mark is shown in the Device Explorer). Other STM32 boards with USB CDC do work fine.I tried to upgrade the firmware to version 2.40.1 (included with Unico), which seemed to be succesful.I'd be very happy for any hints on how to operate the eval kit with Win10. Thanks.

Hello , In a sensor tile which Accelerometer data I am seeing on the App LSM6DSM or LSM303AGRs? Why two Accelerometers are provided in it? Wasnt it possible to use a 9 Axis Acc/Mag /Gyro instead of 2 Six axis MEMS module with duplicated Accelerometer?Thnx

Hello everybody,I wanted to simulate the Sent_Protocol with a STM32 µC or simulate it as if I had a sensor. and present this with oscilloscope. Now the signal should be like a normal PWM Signal look like. I really do not know how to generate this part of the signal in the lower picture at the beginning of each period.so I thought that i can use fixed compare modus for that. because this is identical for each period (marked in red). But there are the 6 nibbles (4 bits per nibble) for the data (for example 0x 3FF294), but I thought that I could change the signal period according to the data (marked in green). Now to the specific question, how can i change the period in the code or is that even possible?thanks

Hi everyone,I am using a L3GD20H gyro on a custom board. I am successfully talking to it and have been able to set the following registers to values:CTRL1_reg: 0x0F (power enabled, all axes enabled)CTRL3_reg: 0x08 (INT2 set for data ready signal)CTRL4_reg: 0x80 (BDU set and FS set to 245 dps)However, I am also trying to set the Low_ODR bit in the LOW_ODR (0x39) register to reduce the update rate. For some reason, it always comes back with a reading of 0. Is there something I am missing here? I've tried setting the bit before and after setting the power enabled bit in register CTRL1_reg, but that didn't work. Pulling my hair a bit, since it's likely something stupid, but I can't seem to see what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello!Have bought the STEVAL-MKI183VI for the LIS2HH12 device.The device are enabled for all direction by wrinting the following to the ctrl1 register   regData.ZEN = 1;  regData.XEN = 1;  regData.YEN = 1;  regData.ODR = ODR_100_HZ;  regData.BDU = 1;Placing the device on the table and reading the accelerometer values gives a strange value for the z-direction.The value gives nearly 1.2g. Flipping the board upside down result in a value of -0,8 g.The x and y directions is fine.Have tried to run the self test with the following "raw" values.For the negative test x = 0xE3DD y = 0xE821 Z = 0x364C  For the positive test x = 0x178A y = 0x1c0c z = 0x6ae6The z-values seems to be wrong so I am thinking that there is some

I am using the STM32F407 discovery board and Wolfson pi audio interface. I have a problem in analysing sample values received from MEMS microphone.I wanted to plot the data sensed by the MEMS microphone, which is just sensing the surrounding environment. So, in order to achieve this, I am using an array of float type (float32_t) to store the samples continuously. After running the algorithm for a few seconds, I am plotting the values. The problem here is, when I am plotting the data, huge values (around 32000) are getting displayed on the screen. And the graph is looking like a continuous pulse waveform.Are these true sample values? If I want to operate on these samples, can I directly do that?Some of the threads posted earlier, related to this topic, suggesting me to convert the values into the q0.15 format and then operate on it? I couldn't get a complete understanding over there.Do I need to do that? If yes, why we need to convert into that format?

I have been asked to embed an accelerometer into the engine control module. It would normally be used when the engine is not running to determine static angle with respect to gravity; low G, angle sensor. However, once the engine starts running there will be significant vibration, the controller is mounted to the engine. For discussion purposes it may be considered 10 g random, up to about 3000 Hz. The specification indicates the normal operating ranges and then indicates a couple of shock type accelerations (absolute maximums). But these are very short duration (3000 g, 0.5 ms) or (10000 g for 0.1 ms).Which of your MEMS devices would you recommend if exposed to continuous 10 g random vibration? 15 g? 20 g?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. Hi, I am following the guide "Getting started with the STMicroelectronics X-CUBE-BLE1 software package for STM32CubeMX" and recreate the example named "SensorDemo" just to know how to work with this library in CubeMX.I am using a Nucleo-L4R5ZI and the IDB05A1 expansion board and just by following the exmaple didn't work but I could not know why because all the messages in the "app_x-cube-ble1.c" file, where the app is implemented, use the printf function but I can not see anything in the console or using Tera Term. By the way, I finally get the example run because I realized that it is neccesary to change the SPI_CLK signal automatically assigned by CubeMX to PA5 (in my case it was assigned to PA1). I think it would be very grateful if it is mentioned in the "starting guide".I couldn't resolve the printf issue. Could someone help me with this? because is the same for the X-CUBE-MEMS1.Thanks,Alex:)

I am responsible for hardware development at Kessler group.I am currently working on a project: data logger, and using LIS2DH as an accelerometer. The device is used in two modes: Normal and Sleep mode.On sleep mode, the device is powered from internal battery and we are looking for the lowest power consumption possible. The Accelerometer is in low power mode (8bit), Stream-to-FIFO, 50Hz, and we are achieving 6uA current consumption as described in datasheet.However, in sleep mode, the microcontroller pins are in HIGH Impedance state, including the SPI line. This is where we are facing with a problem, because when pin SDA, SCL, CS (SPI) on the accelerometer are left floating, current consumption is much higher. One solution is to implement a pull-up resistors, but that will require a pcb redesign.My QUESTION is: are there any internal pull-ups (as on SDO PIN) or a

Hi,I am using STM32F101VD to communicate via I2C with MPU6050 IMU device. Data transfer (reading and writing) is done using DMA. Additionally I connected one of my ST32's GPIO (configured as EXTI - Rising IT) to MPU's INT pin. I am using HAL libraries. To sumarize... I execute data transfer with Transmit_DMA... When I get interrupt on INT pin from MPU6050 that data is ready I do Receive_DMA.The whole process works just fine - data is transfered at constant speed. But periodicaly I get one corrupted data packet.  So one set of 14 bytes has some bytes corrupted... how I know? Values are invalid... for the Temperature.... calculation gives me 97degC. Also gyro and accelerometer data is set to 0. If MPU is set at 1kHz sampling rate it happens that every 10th or 12th data will be corrupted. I noticed this happens with any sampling rate. I2C clock is set at 400kHz. I connected logic analyzer to the SCL, S
