Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any information on how the 6 direction detection feature that is mentioned in INT_GEN_CFG_XL works. Obviously, to detect movement one would need to detect an acceleration change that can be either positive or negative. And also set a duration so we aren't woke by vibration.

Hi, I can only seem to read 10bit resolution despite setting the following:REG_CTRL1 = 0b00000111;REG_CTRL4 = 0b00001000;I have low power mode disabled and HR mode enabled, but the precision does not increase from Normal Mode.Am I missing something?

Hi Everyone...Im using LIS3DH to measure vibration of rotary equipment.I chose it because It can reach 5.3K Hz of data rate.I have some question..1.- The sensor can give me 5.3kHz only scanning one axis?orit can scan 5.3KHz with the 3 axis at the same time?, in other words at the end of the 1 second, I will have 5300 data of each axis.thanksRicardo

The spec sheet contradicts itself on this question. What does the chip actually expect/do?SPI is an "big endian" protocol at the bit level, where the MSb of each byte is transmitted first on the wire and the LSb of each byte is transmitted last. Looking at the SPI timing diagram in the LSM6DS3's spec sheet, Figure 8, page 37, DocID 026899 Rev 10, the SDI and SDO bits are shown being transmitted with their MSb's first. For address, input data, and output data, the first bits are shown as R/W, DI7, and DO7 respectively. This appears to comply with the SPI industry standard.However, in the text below Figure 8 on the same page, it says "the first bit (bit 0) starts at the first falling edge of SPC...". It then goes on to describe the bits, *starting* with "bit 0: R/W bit".Thus the diagram and the text appear to contradict each other. I assume it will take a Gyroscope as well due to the rotation forward motion. A Gyroscope ishowever expensive in the automotive temp range. Can it be done with 2 Accelerometers ?

Hello, We are going to start working on LSM6DSM sensor. We have read that it a vibration monitoring functionality. We just wanted to know that can a vibration of certain threshold generate an interrupt on one of the two interrupt lines. Hi,I got some LIS3DH that are not responding to 0x19 neither 0x18... When I run a I2C sniffer, it finds a device on 0x09...Just wondering if someone can confirm the attached component is a LIS3DH?Thanks

I have flashed the example code from the function pack on 2 STEVAL-SMARTAG modules using a Nucleo STLink. After flashing, I get very different (incorrect) values from the humidity sensor (31% whereas the original sensor, as purchased, read the correct value of 48%). Hello,I am impressed by this tiny but effective sensor module. In fact, I am trying to design lidar system using VL5310X. The thing is that, I want to integrate my fabricated laser and photodiode with this module. Therefore, is there any other product which does not contatin VCSEL and photodiode? If it is possible, I am planning to implement the system using arduino UNO, VL5310X(without emitter and receiver), and my fabricated emitter and receiver. Thank you.Best,Ted

Hi,I have asked this question in community also but no answer till now.I have got below devices as one of your colleague offered me via email.I have a MKI109V3 and one MKI197V1.I have downloaded the related tools&software of MKI109V3 then I opened the DfuSe Demo from en.stsw-mki109w / MEMS_Demonstration_Kit_SW_package_v8_0_WINDOWS and upgraded ProfiMEMSToolV2.40.1.dfu from ProfiMEMSTool board in DFU folder.the last step was using UNICO 8.0.1.0 to choose MKI197V1(LSM6DSOX).But I have below error!!I will appreciate if let me me know what the problem is.

Hello, is there any kind of anti aliasing filter in the LIS2DH12 the datasheet is not clear to me. In the datasheet of the LIS2HH12 there are some settings according to analog aliasing filters. So is this filter not present in the LIS2DH12 or only suitable for high data rates? best regards

In CubeMX the HTS221 driver was chosen.While looking to use the sensor within the code, i can't find any documentation how to initialize the sensor.In the HTS221 headerfile i can find: HTS221_Init(HTS221_Object_t *pObj)This function uses a HTS221_Object_t*!Though to fill in the structs no documentation is been given.Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place but in the X-CUBE-MEMS1 repository I can't find the documentation.

Dear support,I'm looking for an accelerometer and the one we work with is normally LIS2DE12, but I think it does not work for the product I'm looking for.In the INT1_SCR register, high and low interruption events can be enabled in the different axes, without further details.I want to detect a maximum or minimum value on an axis (X, Y or Z). Is it possible with the LIS2DE12? If it is not with this, is there another accelerometer that can serve me? Can you match footprint and pinout?Kind Regards,Jose Ramon Formoso

When we applied moisture-proof coating to the substrate, we also coated the LPS22HB.In this case, does the coating affect the measurement?If so, is it okay to rub the sensing area to remove the coating?

Is the accelerometer temperature output in OUT_ADC3 still 8 bits if the LPen bit in CTRL_REG1 is cleared?If that is the case, does the temperature change with one digit in OUT_ADC3_H per °C?

I have enabled 2 interrupts on the LIS3DH all on the I2C Bus :1) Data Ready Interrupt 2) Orientation Change InterruptBut during runtime only the Data Ready Interrupt is working. While reading the INT1_SRC register no value is generated. Even after disabling Data Ready Interrupt, I am unable to access the Orientation Change Interrupt. We understood the ODR and correlated filtering. A following micro-controller application performs further filtering with averaging values to 10 per second. Aimed is calculating an angle derived from the rotational speed. Precision should be about or better than 1degree in a minute, e.g. about 0.016dps.Regarding the precision: which is better:maximum ODR and averaging in the following algorithms or e.g. an ODR of about 400Hz with less values for averagingThanks.
