Hi everyone,For a project I need to know if i can access the data of only one SPAD and not the data of the entire array.I need to detect with precision the position of some objects and I'm wondering if that is possible with the VL53L1X. My idea is (if it is possible) to use the data of each SPAD and after some computation to know where the object is.Thanks,BR,Mana

Hi,I am using the accelerometer IIS2DLPTR and i saw in the datasheet that the maximum operation temperature is 85°C. Is there an accelerometer that has the same features that the one I am using but that has a higher maximum operation temperature?Best RegardsVicente

Hi,​Im trying to evaluate MotionAW on a BlueCoin dev kit. After a few seconds MotionAW_Update returns AMW_STATIONARY (before that it returns MAW_NOACTIVITY), and after that the activity doesnt seem to change. I want to interface "MP34DT01" mic with "STM32L476VG discovery board" to get ambiant noise level in dBs.In STM32l476VG firmware packages there is demostaration code which gives sound level or Noise level in dBs.But In the demonstration code one static library (lib_smr_CM4F) has been used that is only supported by IAR Embedded Workbanch.I want to import my code in Atollic True studio IDE but I can't due to those static library.suggest me any firmware or library which can give me microphone output data in dBs in Atollic True studio IDE.Any little help appreciated.Thanks Regards,Sadik pinjari

Hi!I want use an VL53L1X sensor for our project. I "ported" to original ST api to TI chip and TIRTOS. But I cant measure any distance. Now I just want to try the sensor, so I using "polling" method. But when I call a GetMeasurementDataReady function, the "data_ready" variable not set. I am almost sure not problem with porting, because I can get the device Info. ​Hi, I'm using LSM303AGR. ​I cannot read acceleromter 6bytes from 0x28 _ 0x2D. It is read only 0x28 register 6 times. ​I tried to read other register, 0x20 0x21, etc... ​Likewise, It is read only first address register 6 times or several times. What type of surface will the VL53L1X be the happiest and most accurate to range to. White/Black or shiny or dull? The data sheet asks for calibration 17% grey? but ranges the best at 88% white? Thank you

Recently I've bought vl53l0x sensors and I'm struggling 2 weeks to run it on my stm. I've bought pololu sensor and i want to connect it to Nucleo board. There is no explanation how to achieve this. There are only tutorials for specific boards and boards extensions. In vl54l0x library there are thousands lines of code and I don't even know where to start looking for. There are some platform and core files. Core files has includes from platform which requires windows.h to include (??). I'm really looking for some help, if somebody succesfully connected this module to stm, please tell me how !

What is linearity with frequency like? I guess the sensor has a roll off at some frequency due to its mechanical characteristics?The block diagram suggests no analogue filter between the mux and A/D. How does the system deal in practice with vibration frequencies above the Nyquist rate? What would happen in practice to vibration energy at 400 Hz, or 800 Hz?How does the accelerometer respond in practice to an overload acceleration? Sorry for all the postings, but we're under a deadline and really struggling with the reliability of the LSM6DS3.Here's another of the strange things we're seeing on the LSM6DS3: It just stops driving DRDY on INT1. Since our present design relies on INT1 to signal that a new set of XYZ data is ready, when this happens we stop obtaining new acceleration data.I've confirmed that when this happens the LSM6DS3 is still able to communicate via SPI. In fact, I'm even able to read back all of the configuration registers and confirm that they have the proper values - the values that got the LSM6DS3 running properly in the first place! So it appears that the LSM6DS3 still has the proper register values, but it just stops asserting INT1.Here are the contents of the registers we confirm (we first write those that are not read-only):INT1_CTRL/0x0D = 0x01 (B0 set causes DRDY to drive INT1)INT2_CTRL/0x0E = 0x00 (not using INT2)

I have an issue where the IIS2DH accelerometer gets into a state where I get no output form the axis registers. How can the device be reset without removing power? The IIS3DSH used to have a register that could be toggled for a hard reset. The IIS2DH only appears to have a soft reset with:CTRL_REG5 (24h) : BOOT bit.The BOOT does not reset the device to a working state. Only a POR.

Hello i have 45 HTS221, in everyone the temperature is correct but the value of the humidity is wrong, i's usually 4 to 30 point higher than the true value. I have try everything suggested in this forum or in technical data, like ultrasonic wash, rehydration, internal or external heating. last year ST replaced the component free for charge because they were defective. The connection, the footprint and the soldering process is ok for ST too.I think the HTS221 is a bad product. but i need an answer, Had anyone managed to make them work properly?I apologize for my bad english

Hi, We had been developing some geomagnetic measuring products with LSM303D. Since the LSM303D had been discontinued, we had to switch to an alternative part. The LIS3MDL seemed to be a good choice. However, during prototype verificating, we found the LIS3MDL has a much higher noise level. As the following pic shows, the RMS noise of each axis is about tow times higher than LSM303D.According to the datasheet, LSM303D and LIS3MDL should have the same RMS noise performance, which should be around 5 mgauss. Why there is so much difference? We are experiencing a total lock up of the device during high current flow for motor drive on our board, >5A, below 5A, we do not see a lock up. requires a re-init to get it working again. The the LIS3DH is far away from the current flow and the EEPROM on the same bus does not lock up, and it is closer to the flow of current.Attached is our schematic and layout, nothing fancy, but this part is not behaving well.Herb

HiI have to build a density Sensor for a beer brewer. I want to do it with a differential pressure method. I need a pressure sensor for that. So I found the pressure sensor LPS33HW. I am using the X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 Expansion Board with a Nordic pca10040 development board for NRF52832 processor.The sensor is responding to I2C reads and writes, but not to the given address 0x52. Instead, 0x42 and 0x43 work, as well as 0x29, which makes the most sense as it is 0x52 shifted right by one bit.I am using the vl53l1x_api provided by ST.
