Hye guys,I want to use the Performance Analyzer function in Keil Uvision, but it is required for me to insert the trace.ini file or initialization file to enable the trace pin (ETM). Is there anyone who knows how to do this ? I hope you guys can share the file to me.

Hello, I Have few Query Related to Flashing.In newly Arrived Board am doing first time code Flashing from IAR tool with the help of JTAG Debugger.so First Message Pop Up like Perform Mass Erase to unlock the Device Press okay.After Doing Suddenly Flashing Stop and Window Pop with the Flash Loader Reported an Error.am using STM32F439NI Micro controller in Board.If any one know how to resolve this issue kindly Comment.Thank You Aman

Hi ST Community,I have a project running on STM32L4S5ZI and I use IAR for compiling and flashing of the firmware. My application has a file system (a 16MB flash memory) that is interfaced with the STM32 using an SPI interface. The device also has a webserver running on it and whenever the webserver is accessed, the files will be catered from the file-system which are basically the .stm and .html files.So the problem is when I access the webserver from a browser in the PC that the device is connected to, the code runs into a Hardfault. This happens only in the Debug mode and if I run in Release mode, there will be no issue.I tried putting a breakpoint in the Hardfault handler and turns out that this is coming from the SPI transaction complete callback (please find attached the screenshot).Any thoughts and ideas shall be of great help. I am new to STM32 development and I have INCREDIBLE difficulties getting any example to run on any platform. I used to be able to run some very simple examples and even successfully implement changes on a TouchGFX-generated project, but changing the .ioc file was discouraged and quickly messed up things. More recently I have never managed to debug anything on the STMF3348 discovery board, let alone implement a DAC output (triggered from the timer and fed from DMA). If I am lucky if I reach the clock setup before falling over. Now, I have installed a cube F3 patch but none of the examples are visible, probably due to their different format (none was made for STM32CubeIDE but for SW4STM32 instead) and they do not show up in the MX tool. Anyhow, copying over the  SystemClock_Config() did not help as the system fell over evern before the HAL_INIT() ?! There must be a problem with the hardware setup but the board selection should take care of that. Is that board somehow obsolete?

Hello guys!I'm trying to use external mode with STM32F407VGT6U(older version of this discovery board) and Embedded Coder Support Package for STMicroelectronics STM32 Processors, I'm running on Matlab r2023a with all the support packages freshly installed(I have even tried different computers). I have attached some pictures with the configuration I used. The thing that bothers me is that I have successfully used external mode with another MCU(STM32F429I DISC1) with the same configuration steps in another cubemx project. The error message that I've been getting is :Could not connect to target application: XCP internal error: timeout expired, in response to XCP CONNECT command and Unable to connect to the 'STM32F4xx Based' target for 'Test'.I have tried messing around with the ports in device manager, tried every USART available on this board. If you have any suggestions for me I would appreciate.

I have a few arduino boards communicating through each other on a CAN Bus. Arduino is connected to a MCP2515 CAN Bus Module TJA1050.All arduino are communicating properly between each other. I'm trying to implement "AN3969 EEPROM emulation in STM32F40x/STM32F41x microcontrollers" on STM32F407.According to the documentation, "Interrupt servicing during program/erase is possible".However, when actually installed, interrupts stop completely during the erase time.What is the way around this?

Hello,I'm using STM32H753 eval board, earlier I was using STM32CubeIDE wherein I've successfully tested littleFS(File system) library with external flash. littleFS - https://github.com/littlefs-project/littlefsthis code works ok in debug mode and normal mode(without debugger) if I compile it through STM32CubeIDE.then I've switched to Keil MDK - version 5.33, ported all the application function, in debug mode this code working ok, I'm able to format external flash with littleFS, mount it and create/ read/ write files. if I download code in normal mode(without debugger) then the board is not coming up it means execution is not reaching even to GPIO initialization as I've just put one LED ON in GPIO initialization. earlier I thought it might be watchdog reset issue but same code without initializing littleFS works ok in normal mode.then, I tried increasing stack and heap size to max extent but it did not helped.this littleFS library is based on nested function calls an

HiI use STM32G431R6T6 (32k Flash) with build in Bootloader.Boootloader use address 0x0800'0000 - 0x0800'1FFFApplication us address: 0x0800'2000 - 0x0800'7FFFIn the bootloader I can select Erase sectors (System delete only sectors which are used) So the application is not deleted.In the application, with the option 'Erase sectors' during download Message 'Error Flash Download failed - 'Cortex M4''If I choose option 'Erase full chip' in the application erase and programming flash is working. But in this case the bootloader is erased and so the system is not start up.Because of these problems I cannot debug the application with Keil built in debugger.Has anybody same problem or a solution. X-CUBE-EEPROM v5.0.0 includes a sample for NUCLEO-STM32L552ZE-Q.I am trying to use this sample for STM32552CCT6 to run EEPROM Emulation, but the EE_Init() execution results in an error.To begin with, is it possible to operate EEPROM_Emulation with STM32L552CCT6?

I am trying to implement a virtual EEPROM on an STM32G0B1 Some simple implementations exist but i rather use the formal ST as described in:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-eeprom.html#My question, what are the guidelines for the START_PAGE_ADDRESS? how do i make sure this section will never be used by my code, causing un-expected behavior? It seems i am supposed to configure the highest flash memory address and hope it will never overlap with my code. Am i wrong?

I am using an Nucleo-L552ZE -Q board with the IAR Arm 9.30.1 IDE. The code builds correctly, the error message that comes up when trying to upload to debug is attached.Any thoughts would be appreciated.RegardsStephen

Dear Community,I am encountering a strange behavior, where some of my global variables in main.c file are losing their contents (even when I declare them as static). They show the initial values which are 0. I am using Keil with optimization level O3, I used also level O1 , the problem is still occurring. My MCU is STM32l031k6. I want to know if this is related to optimization issues, has somebody encountered the same problem before? your help will be really appreciated.Thank you very much

I'm trying to do a quick eval of a NUCLEO-G474re board for use of the SoC as a product communication controller (I2C, SPI, RS-485, etc.), initially using the Arduino environment for rapid testing. Hi guys,I'm working on UART with STM32F413 via MATLAB Simulink recently.I've followed this tutorial: 《Getting Started with STMicroelectronics STM32 Processor Based Boards》 from MathWorks.And I can already turn on LED via MATLAB Simulink. And next step is UART.But I don't know which block to connect with these two:and how to command STM32 via these two blocks.Anyone has an idea or experience with Simulink UART? It will be great to answer with images.Appreciate that!
