  I have several problems with the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board   1) When initializing the USB - HS peripherals, I getting stuck in the "USB_CoreReset" function: Related problem and after some time when (count > HAL_USB_TIMEOUT) the program goes to Error_Handler(). This happens identically when I initialize the project with the board selection (file nucleo_h7s3l8_test.rar) The project is launched on an internal flash drive without using XSPI, i.e. only the ..._BOOT project is used and ...APPLI

I am using an STM32U585QI.  I have some memory mapped PSRAM that I'm using.  I have enabled DCACHE, but do I have to manually do something with the MPU for it to cache memory accesses to/from the memory?  The reference manual says:"In addition, the AHB bus traffic to the memory regions can be cacheable or noncacheable.An incoming memory request to DCACHE is defined as cacheable according to its AHBtransaction memory lookup attribute....These AHB attributes depend on the memory protection unit (MPU) programming for theaddressed region." If I don't call HAL_MPU_Enable or set it in any way, will memory mapped and DMA reads/writes to the external memory region go through the data cache?

HelloI am using STM32F103C8 and I want to read and write to CAT28F010P Flash chip.This flash chip has parallel buses for data and address. Also there are 3 control lines as CE, OE and WE.So there are 28 lines in total coming out of this chip. I was able to physically interface all lines with  STM32F103C8.But I have no idea how to code the microcontroller in order to get that done.Please help!Thanks currently I use STM32CubeMX and Keil uVision 5 as developing environment. Program debugger is st-link v2.

Hi, I find the search system on the ST website to be lacking. There are a lot of parameters I can't search for/filter by. Is there an ST e-mail / form contact I can use to ask for help? If anyone here can help, I'll try to describe what I am looking for: I am interested in an MCU/MPU that has: A RAM controller for some kind of DRAM that would give me 128, 256 or even 512MB Graphics acceleration The fewest steps possible to get the video out to HDMI (scaled to 720/1080p with interpolation) I found the STM32H7R7A8, which seems really good but the display controller only goes up to XGA. Could I somehow scale that up when converting to HDMI? I can get by with 8/16 pixel depth, if that helps. The STM32MP135DAG7 looked interesting but has no graphics acceleration.

Hello,while using this mcu 16bit adc a strange thing happens.the adc signal is test under a sinusoid signal(0.5Hz from a signal generator), and as shown in the figure at certain level adc keeps unchanged, after leaving this level then the signal increased again, however the trace has deviate from a standard sin signal.as I checked the value is 0d57345 which is 0b1101 1111 1111 1111 and this phenomenen occurs everytime the 14th bits is 0 and lower bits are 1.(at 0b0001 1111 1111 1111, 0b0101 1111 1111 1111, 0b1001 1111 1111 1111 a value constant platform occurs)

Hello, I designed a similar board using STM32H743ZIT6 and STM32H743VIT6. (Rev. V)The board works fine normally.It has been in production for 3 years already. Boards that have already been produced and shipped sometimes become unusable. Hi,I am trying to use SPI6 transmission with GPDMA on STM32H7S3L8.While Tx transfer works with simple IT handling, it doesn't work with DMA. I am using an STM32L496ZG-P to create PWM signals for a switching power supply, and I need to precisely vary the frequency linearly over the course of a shot. My clock speed is 80MHz and I need 20ms long PWM pulses in the 10-20kHz range. To start, I am using TIM1 to create a PWM output with ARR = 35, and PSC of 100, and then using TIM17 to generate interrupts every 5ish ms. In the HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(), I am calculating a new PSC value based on the amount of time elapsed since the start of the pulse and then using TIM1->PSC=newPSC to change the frequency. This works beautifully when increasing frequency, but when decreasing frequency (increasing PSC) TIM1 stops updating after the first change in frequency. Its as if the counter skips over the ARR value and counts on forever. I'm working with a boost converter and have noticed that when resetting the device a PWM pin remains high/floating for a 100-200msI use the HRTIM with complementary inputs and deadtime insertion.If my lowside pin remains floating/high for an extended period after reset it causes a dead short and will blow up stuff.How do I set it up that on any reset or power loss the HRTIM PWM pins go low.Am I supposed to use the fault behaviour?Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi all,I recently purchased a Nucleo-64 board with a STM32F401 and started programming it, while doing so, I accidentally re-configured PA14 & PA13 used for SWD and used by the ST-Link to program the MCU to be GPIO pins. To fix this, I thought of re-flashing the MCU with updated firmware where SWD is enabled again over UART. I tried this by pulling BOOT0 high, a USB-Serial adapter on PA10 & PA9, and doing a power cycle on the board. The USB connection is exposed as COM11 on Windows, so I tried to connect to it using CubeProgrammer but got the following error:"Error: Activating device: KO".I have set the baud rate to 115200, parity to even and the stop bit to 1 - But no dice. I then tried to use Realterm to send raw HEX (0x7F) to the MCU but got no response. I figured the issue might be my USB-Serial adapter, but a simple loopback test proved the adapter to be working. Worth pointing out, maybe, is that my adapter is 5V - But my MCU's datasheet

Hi, I am using the STM32F429ZI microcontroller. I entered primary bootloader mode using the STM32CubeProgrammer option bytes through the ST debugger. My question is: Can I load my LED blinky code (hex file) using the primary bootloader (system bootloader)? Also, STM32CubeProgrammer is not detecting the primary bootloader via USART or DFU. How can I connect?

Hello, I have a few questions on STM32N6 capabilities for USB after reading AN4879, AN5967 and RM0486 documents: 1. AN4879 states that to be compliant with the USB 2.0 FS electrical spec, the DP+ pin must be pulled high. Does this also hold true for when working with the integrated HS PHY for 480Mbps speeds? 2. Do OTGx_TX_RTUNE pins also need to be connected via 200 ohm resistor to VSS for Hi-Speed USB device, or is that only for USB host mode? AN5967 states that for Hi-Speed USB host in section 13.3.1, but I'm not clear about USB device. 3. AN4879 also states that for USB 2.0 FS, the clock requires to be running at 48 MHz. However, in the RM0486 document, section 14.1 (RCC main features), it says that when the USBHSPHY is used the HSE frequency must be either 19.2, 20 or 24 MHz. Is this only a requirement for USB FS that the clock needs to be at 48 MHz, and for USB HS it has to be running at 24 MHz max? 4. AN5967 stat

Hello. I am working on a project that uses a STM32L496VET6 microcontroller and that can work as an USB device. The board has the following usb circuit schematic:The USB signals are connected directly to the MCU (D+ to PA12, D- to PA11, ID to PA10 and VBUS to PA9). The board is self-powered, so the USB power is not used. The VBUS goes through a voltage divider to reduce the voltage from 5V to approximately 3.14V. I configured the peripheral to work only as a device and the interruptions are also enabled. The middleware is configured to use the USB as a COM port. Issue

Hello! A simple question. If I run DAC, using HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeStart_DMA(..., buffer, ...), when D-cache is disabled, I succeed to send what I filled in the buffer. If I do the same with enabled D-cache, I don't succeed. SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr() function, which is useful in ADC callbacks, seems to be not helpful for DAC. How to fix that?

I am using this MCU on a battery-supplied custom board: STM32G0B1RET.I am looking for clarification re. the GPIO availability in Standby Mode.Table 26 in Reference Manual RM0444 (see below) seems to offer one of two (exclusive) possibilities:Without wakeup capability: wakeup pins are not available, but I/Os can be configured with internal pull-up, pull-down or floating. Hi, I am trying to sample ADC data with stm32l4s5 using b-l4s5-iot01a board. I enabled ADC, USART1 and DMA on both but I do not see anything on my serial terminal. I am trying to send it over st-link connection, I sent a sample text like "Hello" and it worked so usart configuration must be right other than DMA. Hello everyone,I have basic knowledge of embedded hardware and I am trying to expand the STM32H562ZI RAM through FMC. My configuration has a SDRAM at bank 1 with 8-bit data bus width (MT48LC64M8A2).Indeed, I managed to make it work but only for single bytes, I would like to tell the compiler (or to whom it may concern) that when I write a word (32-bit) or half-word (16-bit) variable this is automatically converted in multiple transactions. At the moment, if I try for instance to write a "uint16_t" type I get an Hard Fault (e.g. use HAL_SDRAM_Write_16b() instead of HAL_SDRAM_Write_8b()).Does FMC of STM32H562ZI support byte splitting? (I haven't noticed anything about that on the documentation or more probably I missed it)Is there a way to make it work efficiently or writing byte arrays is effectively the only solution?Thank you in advance for you help!
