I have a custom designed board using a single WS2812B RGB LED.I use the DMA to control, just as "all" examples and drivers use it.Fairly simple, and it works as a charm.99% of the time...Symptom:Once in while, it starts to show a wrong color.Fx. if I want to blink 3 times yellow, it may show 1*white + 2*yellow. Or other variations.Green sometimes get cyan-like.Red may also show as white.More rare: OFF shows as green.The wrong color is not completely random: It is most often white (-ish), or it is the wanted color but in a brighter version.The LED can work OK for hours, and suddenly fails for a couple of minutes. Hello. I have connected 32 strips of ws2812 connected separately to 32 gpio of stm32f407vgt6, each strip has 30 chips in series, how can I drive all of them? Dma, pwm, uart and spi modes doesn't support this number of strips separately.Thank you

Hello,I've been trying to find a solution on the forums for several hours now, to no avail!I have just put my programs on STM32F401, I compile with MBED Studio. I used to light my WS2812 LEDs with a KL25Z (NXP) always using Mbed Studio and my library worked perfectly!But with the STM32, I couldn't get the LEDs to work, so I did some tests on different pins, with no success.that the signal wasn't square...I concluded that the code was wrong. Hello,I am using STM32H733 mounted on a custom PCB. The problem is that if I power the board on, the program inside the MCU does not start. The programming is done over the JTAG/SWD interface. After programming, the code is able to start running.However, after power on, I need to push the reset button (reset circuit, nRST) to run the software, otherwise the code does not start. Where can be the problem? I developed a 62.5kbit synchronous self-clocked (similar to SDLC) communication firmware for STM32F412, to be interfaced with an old device via RS485.It works in "bitbanging" using a 16us interrupt timer (TIM11) to sample the bits and EXTI0 (PB0) interrupt on both rising and falling edges to synchronize the timer for a center of bits data sampling.There is a problem with EXTI0 interrupt, because few times I have two interrupts intead of one, in one of the front.With an oscilloscope I've seen that there are no spikes or glitches on PB0 and the signal edges are right.My EXTI0 interrupt code duration is less than 3us and TIM11 interrupt code duration is less than 4us.EXTIO interrupt has priority of 0,0 and TIM11 interrupt has priority of 0,1This is my simple EXTI0 interrupt code:void EXTI0_IRQHandler(void){   /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI0_IRQn 0 */   ...my code...   /* USER CODE END EX

Hi everyone, I want to read ADC from DMA with injected conversion channels. In HAL library for STM32F407VG, there is no HAL_ADCEx_InjectedStart_DMA. This command gives invalid error. Anyone knows about this. Thanks.

Recent series saw a larger changes in the SPI peripheral. Is there already an application note giving a more in-depth explanation. Is such a not planned?

Hello, I read out bin file from MCU STM32F105 and tried to write to the same new MCU, but on new MCU firmware do not work correctly. Different is between those mcu the old have marked CHN GQ and new one have MYS 99 Any ideas where is the problem?

CubeIDE doesn't look for C++ files. Even worst, no matter that the main.c file has been marked for being excluded from the building, the tool always uses it.Although I started the project as a C++ one, the tool didn't generate the corresponding main.cpp file, so I did it by hand.Even worst (yes, things can get ugly pretty quickly) the IOC tool removes silently the "don't compile the main.c file because it's a C++ project" flag.What can I do? From the image below please note that the main.c file has been excluded but the compiler (right pane) is compiling it anyway. Also note that the file main.cpp isn't compiled. The functions MainApp() and Tick_IRQUserCallback() are located inside this file:

I am working on a pathological voice assessor device, using the STM32H747-DISCO development board. Currently focusing on sending a signal from the DSP to PC - there is also a separate connection for debugging from my Macbook which is plugged in to the ST-LinK Debugger port. I have found a data transfer example, so we have configured the USB-OTG port and it can now connect it to the PC. However, we are having different issue once it is connected to the PC. Essentially, this error occurs when looking at the connection in the Device Manager on the PC:  "This device cannot start. (Code 10)", and "error code 000000000000A" which typically signifies a "device timeout" error but my Python program can recognize that there is a device connected and identify the correct VCOM.  From our research, we have determined that this is most likely a driver issue on the PC end. I am trying to receive audio data from an I2S microphone (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3421) using my STM32L476RG board and its Serial Audio Interface (SAI). I'm using cubeIDE and I have the SAI set up as in the pictures below, however I am not sure if this is correct. Specifically, what is the "Number of Slots" parameter? And my mic's datasheet says "I2S, 24 bit, 2’s compliment, MSB first" so does that mean I should be using the I2S MSB Justified protocol?Then when I generate the code in cubeIDE it gives me an SAI_HandleTypeDef, but how do I use this to read the SAI's data? There are many functions in the driver like HAL_SAI_INIT() and HAL_SAI_RECEIVE() but I'm not sure how/what order to use them. Any guidance would be appreciated!

While LCSC store provides them for $0.3 per 100 units.Yes! we know it's ridiculously cheap with a high chance of being fakes, but we wanted some kind of a confirmation from guys in the forums to make sure.1) Are they fakes?2) Is an item considered fake when its price is way lower than the price mentioned on ST store? Kind regards,Marzi

Hi,  Can I control the level of a GPIO Pin in software, if the GPIO Pin is in an Alternative function mode ?  For example, I have an application where I switch a MOSFET in Software, but I would like to use the Hardware or internal Silicon, and Software to turn the Pin on and Off, is this possible with the STM32G031 controllers ?.  Thanks

Hello.Using "ITEMIS Create" I've designed this simple statechart diagram to figure out the working principles of sleep mode. The diagram is shown below:The program should work like this: Device boots up, starts a timer, that has a period of 2 seconds, and enters the statechart model in "Awake" state. Firstly, it calls the LedOn() function. After 2 seconds the timer raises an interrupt which in turn raises an event "TimerInt". That changes the state to "Asleep". Now, what's a good way to waste a clock cycle in STM32F4? I don't want the instruction to cause traffic on the bus matrix and in my experience "NOP" gets optimized away by the GCC compiler. This is my first time making and external loader for an SPI flash device. I followed the examples and documentation I was able to find. I was to get the project setup on Keil and ".stldr" file loaded onto ST-Link Utility & CubeProgrammer.Initially, I set up the "Read" function to send dummy data and that worked fine, so I thought everything would be straight forward from there.When I added the quadspi code (which has been tested to work on application), the "Init" function would fail by HardFaulting presumably (I was unsuccessful at setting up a debugging project). Through trial and error, I have isolated the fault to be in the HAL_QSPI_Init() function where the "hqspi" function parameter is first referenced to access the hqspi->Instance. From my pseudo-debugging, I have concluded that that function parameter is incorrect and yields all 0xFF for all struct members, causing the HardFault; it almost seems as if that function parameter was corrupted and points some
