Hi  I am using the STM32L433 in a battery product and need long battery life. I am using standby mode as I need to preserve RAM and the RTC during standby. We are testing a new blank board and adding components one at a time and measuring the current using the LPM01A board. Before adding the processor the board was drawing an average 53uA, and after adding only the processor and placing it in standby mode, it was drawing 146uA. The processor is powered at 3.3v and chip freq 16MHz, and dont have anything connected to it for this test. To place into low power mode I done the below:Powered the board for 3 seconds, then went into standby mode. I done this so I can see the step in the current drawn when dropping into standby mode.During the 3 seconds of normal operation, the the average current was 2.531ma . There was no A/D enabled .When it went into standby mode , the whole board was consuming 146uA. So the processor was consuming 146 -53uA (before the

In my project I want to use RTC on STM32H753 chip. And when reading the date, I get the wrong data in the position of days. And I can't fix this problem. I got an error, that is actually not true (see pictures). I just used cubemx to change one pin... And now this. 

STM32H7 has a FMAC (Filter mathematical accelerator), and FFT also build on multiply-accumulation operations similar to the filters. So, can the FMAC be tweaked to implement FFT with minimum MCU intervention. ​And also FFT calculation with M7 core without HW accelerator is super slow (1024-point Q15 FFT takes 265 us for STM32F746). And I need it to be at least 7 times faster. So I hope FMAC make much it faster.BTW. the FFT I'm interested in, is 2N real input to N complex output.

I am working on a pathological voice assessor device, using the STM32H747-DISCO development board. I’m a new user and need some help with configuring and sending data from the DSP to PC - there is also a separate connection for debugging from my Macbook which is plugged in to the ST-LinK Debugger port. I had attempted using the USB OTG communication protocol but was met with some driver issues. I was told by a peer to use the FT232 board, breakout the RX and TX pins, connect them to the board and then plug into the PC to read the pins. From my understanding this is using the UART protocol. So I in the IOC file I would turn on the UART setting, then generate the code and connect the FT232 board to the RX and TX pins and plug the board to the PC. Any knowledge of exactly what to do would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You :)

Hello, i am using f446re nucleo board and have been facing a problem for a while now. Dear ST,I was pleased to hear about the new STM32H7R/S lines, especially with the new graphic acceleration features in the R-line.However, and perhaps I have missed something, but I have to admit I am also disappointed about the absence of large sized internal RAM and FLASH. I was hoping to see a new boosted H7-version with large capabilities of internal memory similar to some devices in the STM32U5-series. A minimum of 4 MB RAM  +  4 MB FLASH would probably have made the need for external memory interfacing unnecessary in 9 out 10 applications and making the device work perfect with large screen resolutions out-of-the-box.Instead, the new STM32H7R/S lines would now need to be interfaced with BOTH external RAM and FLASH. Also, it seems to lack support OCTO SPI interface which would lead to a more complex PCB design with parallel memory interfacing.So, I am curious to hear if there are any plans for making a device version with larger internal RA

DS says otherwise - that SMPS is available in *all* packages for 'H725: To me it appears that it's the infographics which is wrong. Wasn't the footnote supposed to go into some other sub-family?JW

Hello,I am not able to find the memory map for the processors stm32f777zitx.It tells to refer to product line reference manual what does that mean?I checked everywhere on the internet but could not find it. 

STM32F103C8T6 enables SPI1, but does not use MISO pin (PA6), can this pin reuse other functions? For example, timer function.

Hi, I got a problem with the reception using USART7. I'm using it in the interrupt mode but the problem is that the data in the buffer is not coming well. I'm connecting STM32F407 board with the STM32F746 using UART. Hi,I'm using STM32U575I-EV and CubeMX.Please tell me about benefits using lpbam in CubeMX.I thought that if I properly set up the peripherals that support LPBAM on the "Pinout & Configuration" screen, I could do the same thing as LPBAM Scenario.When is it better to use LPBAM Scenario ?Best regards. 

Hello,We use STM32F765VGT6 in our product. The datasheet says 1MB of flash memory available but it looks like there is 2MB available for use 0x0800 0000 to 0x081F FFFF. Is this a documentation issue? Can we use the extra 1MB flash starting from 0x0810 0000 to 0x081F FFFF? Regards,Shinoy

Hi, I have problem to generate correct output waveforms with Altium SI tool using the IBIS model  stm32f765_767_777_lqfp144.ibs. I'm trying to generate a clock output signal in PB3 configured as SPI1, no pulls, fast speed or high speed but the result will only be noise. I'm not sure which output model to use, there are a lot of different to select among. Think I have tried all possible models but the result will just be noise.Example using output model io8p10_arsudq_ft_tp_out.mac: Some of the models will generate output, but are with wrong voltage levels and are not correct one to use in my setup. I finally got my hands on a STLINK-V3SET. I'm eventually going to use it on a custom board we're spinning up but I thought I'd start with STM32CubeIDE and a Nucleo-H7A3ZI-Q. I've tried several configurations per the manuals and always get this error: "No ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session".Here's what I have setup now. V3SET is plugged into CN5 MIPI10 connector othe Nucleo board with 20 pin to 10 pin ribbon cable supplied with debugger. 20 pin connector on the V3SET side and 10 pin on the Nucleo side. On the Nucleo, ext 5V power connected to CN11 pin 6 and the power jumper across the EXT pins on JP2. Nothing plugged into the the J1 USB connector on the Nucleo. And a jumper across JP1 that's supposed to put the onboard debugger in a high impedance state. The green power LED is lit on the V3SET and the red com LED is blinking.I'm not sure how to tell CubeIDE to make sure it knows to look for the V3SET. And the 2nd step in

I just was testing the bootloader, when it did not respond after writing the flash. Upon inspecting the memory, i found the last 2 bytes have not been written? (i guess the uC went to hard fault or something)It should not be this way?

 Hello, I am having an issue with the STM32 GPIO. The problem is that immediately after supplying power to the chip, GPIOs such as PJ0, PJ1, PJ2, etc. are momentarily powered, behaving as if they were set as outputs.Below is the test sequence:1. I created the project without setting the GPIOs and then performed program verification on the chip.2. I turned the chip off and then back on.3. I monitored the power supply line of the chip and specific GPIO using an oscilloscope.4. The result showed that when the power supply voltage increased to above 1.7V, the GPIO voltage also increased.I hope this helps!

Hello Community,I am slightly confused while selecting the external high-precision Clock source for our application that uses STM32G474RxT3 series MCUs. I want to use DSC1001DL2-024.0000T as I have these in our inventory, I checked for the operating voltage range & recommended Frequency range as given in the datasheet of STM32G474.I however am unsure as the AN2867 specifies Crystal/Resonator list only. Can someone confirm if choosing MEMS Oscillator like DSC1001DL2-024.0000T shall be suitable or not? Thanks in advance.

stm32l071CB flash only 128kB, can fatfs run on Stm32L071CB? Roughly how much space it takes up?The FATFS I used to use on the stm32F103VE platform took up about 200KB of flash because of several large arrays。

HiI design a board based on the STM32H7xxI-EVAL, the ethernet PHY is LAN8742A-CZ-TR and according to its the datasheet the crystal specification the drive level need to be 300uW but the maximum drive of X53T-C20SSA-25.000MHz level is only 100uW.Did you have any problem? or is it on purpose?

I come from the PJRC Teensy 4.x after many years playing around with it and building a product or two based on it. (NXP IMXRT chip)But for a new project I need to be able to rapidly calculate the RMS value of an AC sine wave from an audio signal, with a wide range of 10Hz to 20Khz.I was looking and googling and found that the F303 has a 5MSPS ADC and can also use the comparator at the same time on the same pin.My need/goal is to be able to detect zero crossing point with the comparator, trigger an interrupt that will kickoff ADC readings/calculations and then once another interrupt arrives at the next zero crossing, stop the current ADC readings, switch buffers and start again for the next half cycle of the sine wave.Is this something the 303 could handel?I would also need to offset the ADC input to be able to handle the ac value, and also provide the comparator with the extact same offset voltage for the zero crossing point.

Posted on December 20, 2017 at 18:49Hello,I'm trying to bring up the CAN bus on the STM23F303RE nucleo board and am having some difficulty determining which way to go.  I've been unable to find a HAL library example for this platform.  Can anyone point me to one?  I have found a HAL example for the STM32F4 but that target has different peripherals.  Also, I see three different possible design approaches for this project.  It's a fairly simple control loop that we're developing.  The 3 options seem to be:   1. Code system using HAL library.   2. Use STMCube for development (but why is there no CAN example for STMCube and the STM32F3xx?)   3. I see the ARM-Mbed program but am not familiar with the benefits or roadblocks of using that RTOS.  (I don't think we need an RTOS)Thanks for any suggestions here.- Dave#can-
