I am trying to run both ADC in dual REGULAR SIMULTENIOUS mode (ADC1 as master and ADC2 as salve) ADC Converted Result shall be stored in an Array Buffer using DMA transfer (single channel only), ADC conversion trigger shall not be software based (we are selecting Tigger Source as TIM1). i am using STM32G474RE Board.    

Hi all,I got my hands on a quadrature encoder for the first time, and I am trying to interface it with my STM32H755 Nucleo board through the timer in encoder mode. The issue is that the interrupt is getting triggered (in the "HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback" function), but the timer counter is not incrementing. Any potential leads? 

Hello. I have plans to implement a motor encoder interface circuit using this micro controller. According to its datasheet, the timer implementation considers TIM1 ~ TIM4. My question is: which pins can I assign to implement a motor encoder circuit for high resolution (1024PPR) encoder? The encoder has 2 output pins (A and -A).   Thank you in advance.

Hello ST community,I'm currently working on a circuit utilizing an ATS240C-E Crystal with a 22pF capacitor for an STM32 microcontroller. I'm curious about the necessity and implications of including a Rext resistor in the output of the crystal oscillator. Could anyone shed light on whether the Rext resistor is necessary for STM32 microcontrollers? Furthermore, I'd like to understand how its presence or absence affects the performance, stability, and functionality of the oscillator, particularly in noisy and EMI conditions.If anyone has insights or experiences to share regarding this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

HiIs there any info available regarding source sink current of analog comparators on the STM32G4 series.The datasheet doesn't contain any info on this although the drive current of Opamps is mentioned as 500uA.TIA

In the Datasheet it says:"The VREF+ pin is double-bonded with VDDA on some packages. In these packages theinternal voltage reference buffer is not available."Does this implicitly mean all packages which do not explicitly have a VREF+ pin can not use this peripheral or are there some inbetweens (which ones) which can use internal references, just not external ones?I'm especially surprised that even the high pin count WLCSP variant does not have such a pinout, so the smallest package to even use that (imo very useful) feature would be a "huge" 7x7mm BGA Chip. 

Hello.I am developing a system using STM32H7A3LIH6Q with CubeIDE.I use the SDRAM with IS42S16800J-6BLI,I am trying to use the BSP in the firmware package STM32Cude FW_H7 V1.10.0 as it is the same as STM32H7B3I-DK.I have a question here.In stm32h7b3i_discovery_sdram.h of Driver-BSP-STM32H7B3I-DK in STM32Cude FW_H7 V1.10.0, it is defined with SDRAM_DEVICE_SIZE 0x800000.Is there a reason why it should be 0x1000000 since the "IS42S16800J-6BLI" is 128Mbits? 

Hello,i have TFT with resolution 800x480 @ 24bpp connected to the STM32F767BIT6 with external SDRAM IS42S16400J-7TL.The MCU is running on 216MHz, thus FMC on 108MHz, SDRAM as CAS latency = 2 and LTDC pixel clock 19,2MHz(able to run on 24MHz too) with DMA2D. FMC is configured for switch address from 0xC000_0000 to 0x6000_0000 for posibility of cashing.LTDC is configured to 2layers ARGB8888. The SDRAM has 4 banks and 16bit data bus, so 1st layer is located on start addres of 1st bank, 2nd layer is located on start address of 2nd bank. On 3rd and 4th bank i would like to have inactive buffers for 1st and 2nd layer. In my experiment i fill 1st and 2nd layer located in 1st and 2nd bank with some graphic.The screen on TFT is stable without any graphical artefacts. But when i do some writes (let say 3KB) into 3rd or 4th bank once per 1second, the screen starts during writes having some graphical artefacts. 

Hello everyone.I'm experiencing an issue with STM32CubeIDE. Everything worked fine until this morning when I installed the update to version 1.15. Now I cannot connect to any of my ST Links (3) which previously worked on my PC.I'm running Cube on my M3 MacBook, I'm getting the following issue when I try to program my STM32H753: Device connect errorError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: libusb: error [darwin_claim_interface] could not set configurationFailed to connect to device. Please check power and cabling to target. I'm assuming it's a problem with the operating system which is not allowing the GDB server to access the ST-Link via libusb. Can't find any help on forums, I've been searching for similar issues for hours.I've tried all of my ST Links on a Windows HP laptop and I'm able to flash and debug correctly, so the hardware should be working fine. Before anyone asks, they are original ST Links

This is an example of what I try to do with the DFSDM without success.I want to apply a low pass filter with a frequency X to a square wave that I have sampled at 44100Khz with 1024 samples and that I have stored in an array (input), the result I will leave it in a target array also of 1024 samples (output).Both the data sending and the return will be by DMA (this is tested and working).The question is, how do I let the DFSDM know that my samples have been collected at 44100 Khz.This has been translated automatically, I hope it is understood.Thank you.

Hey everyone. I am working on a project where I am attempting to detect a frequency of a signal using autocorrelation. I am doing this through applying FFTs and IFFTs. Basically, I have been running into some issues trying to get the correct functionality using the CMSIS dsp library and I am really struggling to figure out what is wrong and how to correct it. For example, the Analog Device ADAU1966A is offering 8x data inputs. That’s great to lower the clock speed.For example, for 8 stereo channels at 24-bit 96kHz, the clock speed will beUsing 1x serial data port  2*8*24*96000 / 1 = 36,864 MHzUsing 2x serial data port  2*8*24*96000 / 2 = 18,432 MHzUsing 8x serial data port  2*8*24*96000 / 8 = 4,608 MHzOn the STM32F723, if I understand correctly, there are 2 SAI ports. I have a use case for communicating with the SDRAM chip onboard the STM32G474E-EVAL1 board.  Took a look at the board schematic https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1397-g474e-b04_schematic.pdf and an example project that came with the STM32 Cube IDE which should be located under this directory: C:\Users\your_username\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_G4_V1.5.1\Projects\STM32G474E-EVAL\Examples\FMC\FMC_SRAM.This code essentially sets up the relevant GPIO for alternate pin function 12, which gives us [A0:A18], [D0:D15], NE1, NWE, NOE, NBL0, and NBL1.  It then sets of the relevant FSMC registers for asynchronous 16-bit transfers.The README document (attached) references the exact same SDRAM chip (IS61WV51216BLL), which I would expect, as the example is specifically geared towards the STM32G474E-EVAL board

I am trying to use the HRTIM peripheral on the STM32Hh753VI as a PWM generator with variable duty cycle. I want to use Timer B1 on pin PC8.Firstly, I tried using Simple HAL functions:HAL_HRTIM_SimplePWMStart(&hhrtim, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_B, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TB1);Indeed a PWM signal is seen on pin PC8. However, I am unable to change the duty cycle. The macro __HAL_HRTIM_SETCOMPARE has no effect.__HAL_HRTIM_SETCOMPARE(&hhrtim, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_B, HRTIM_COMPAREUNIT_1, x);The signal on the output does not change, regardless of the value I give. Looking at the compare register via the SRF view, I see that the compare value does change, but it does not have any effect on the output.Secondly, I tried to use the Advanced/Waveform methods. I'm using a STM32H745 and running a bootloader on the CM4. In the bootloader I want to set the boot address of the CM7 using the user option bytes. Is this possible and if so, how should I do this?Kind regards

I have an STM32H563 communicating on I2C4 @ 1 MHz (fast-mode plus) to an I/O expander with no problem. However when I add a temp sensor (TI TMP175) to the same bus, communication doesn't work for the TMP175. The TMP175 communicates > 400 KHz only if a master code is tx following Start condition and before device address. Does the HAL interface support such a master code?

I am trying to set alarm canitnously in loop every 4min.But it is working only 5 time.Is there any way to set alarm cantinously after every 4 min.

Hello.I have developed a module that has an STM32F103ZE controller. This controller has a USB interface.In order to test the modules, this USB interface is to be connected to a Windows PC via a needle bed. Then various test commands are to be sent via the USB interface for testing.However, Windows assigns a new Virtual-ComPort number each time a new module is connected.Is there a way to suppress this so that the same Virtual ComPort number is always assigned?This must only be the case for the test system. Hello I'm developing a self-powered device with "fast charge" feature, which assumes that USB VBUS pin can supply up to 20V. In this case, a simple voltage divider will not be able to provide an acceptable logic level within the range of 5–20 V. Additional voltage comparators, suppressors are not an option as I want to keep things simple. What if calculate a simple resistor divider for 20V, pass the lowered voltage to ADC, measure it and set the state of a VBUS sensing pin programmatically?

i want to add some work on food_recognize.c in fp_AI_VISION ,I want to use CN9 analog to control some leds but it doesn't work in first place. I can't control those pins with writegipo.so far i only see A0 always on and A1-A5 always off. On the same pin there are two names (from gpio port and mcu pin), for example A2 can be PA0 or PI6, but try both that don't work, I've also tried mcu pin with pinnbr either. A0 always on and the rest always off, no I know which part is wrong (PLL or System Clock Configuration? this part also changes sometimes either) , I have attached the example main.c  if anywhere has a problem.
