In order to design the Bluetooth Low Energy part of my software, I decided to use BLE Profiles_Lib 3.1.3 Library.There is a few folder inside this root folder (BLE_application, BlueNRG1_Periph_Driver, Bluetooth_LE, CMSIS, cryptolib, hal, SDK_Eval_BlueNRG1). I saw that depends on your needs, you can decide to include or not some part of these folder.For example, at this time, I dont need "cryptolib"; so I decided not include the source code.I included the library (file.a) of the Bluetooth_LE folder and the relative .h. Works fine.But, reading the PM0257 documentation on how to design my BLE software part, I see that a lof of useful function are not provided in the .a file, but in others .c file of the library. I then need to include each file manually (when the function that I need to use is from a .c and not the .a). I also need to include all relatives .h.I dont really understand how the BLE Profiles_Lib 3.1.3 Library is setup.What is the pr

On the L4R5 and on the U575 when the LPUART uses the LSE clock source (32768Hz) and is configured for 9600 baud the byte timing is very precise, exactly as predicted by the reference manual as (RM0432, 51.4.7). However the timing of individual bits within the byte deviates very significantly from the ideal (+/- 10uS error!)We’re troubled by our inability to offer an explanation to our customers.Through a series of experiments we determined that the uneven bit timing is a function of using the LSE as the clock source, and is independent of the PCLK/APB (the PCLK is 80MHz in the image below). Hello All, I am very beginner in embedded technology. I would like to learn and implement XIP.Currently I am working on a project which uses STM32F746 discovery board and uses TouchGFX and FreeRTOS. It uses qspi in memory mapped mode to store the font, graphics and text section required for touchGFX application. I am looking for documentation which explains the functionality and concept to achieve XIP using qspi along with FreeRTOS and touchGFX.Any inputs are highly appreciated. I am using STM32 H563 Nucleo board to read the configurational register (address = 0x24) of STPM33 evaluation board using SPI protocol but while debugging the code i am getting random values on each transmission. Firstly i am transmitting an bytes {0x24,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0x99} to set the read pointer to address 0x24, and then again transmitting bytes {0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xFF,0xDE} to read the data of register. We are using STM32G4 Series microcontroller for SPI comm. as slave with microprocessor.For SPI TX operations sometimes we are seeing that callback function HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback() is not getting called even though we are seeing that data is transmitted successfully on SPI line. Checked using logic analyzer. Is this known issue? Any solutions for this. Thanks in advance.

I am struggling since days to get "my audio" out via SPDIF (electrical).What I see on scope (there is a voltage divider and cap for DC-free on PC12, Vpp is 0.6V, approx. 75 Ohm impedance):It makes sense - but my SPDIF receiver (a STM32F769I-DISCO board, which works fine as SPDIF receiver with another source) does not get any audio (but it seems to sync and realize there is SPDIF signal, but completely silent).Intention:any audio I have in MCU (it will be PDM MIC via CODEC to I2S, as 24bit, 48 KHz) should be forwarded via SPDIF TxI want to use SAI2_B as SPDIF Tx (with PC12), also as 24bit (both are 48 KHz)I tried with "faking", sending buffe

Hello everyone, I have to communicate I2C to IC TM1640. In this datasheet of the IC, It show me this IC don't have address and not response ACK. So, my Stm get stucked when i wait for Txe bit is set.How can I fix this?

Using HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start() to calibrate the ADC. This function always returns HAL_ERROR.Debugging shows its failing after it collects the 8 samples and attempting to disable the ADC is timing out.  (ie.  if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > ADC_DISABLE_TIMEOUT) is TRUE.)Using CubeMX to generate drivers. CubeMX version 6.8.1Note: ADC conversion are working IF I don't calibrate. Thanks for your help.

Hi,1.Can I use option bytes to store the data(eg: Serial number, values storage etc).is It possible if so please share the available resource link/ example for reference. I am using STM32G491RE MCU.I want to write some data in to option byte memory and that data will be updated every 5 to 10 sec and If power cur or reset happens I should read that data from the memory. For my MCU I have 48 bytes of option byte memory.How can I select specific memory byte in option byte to write the data andbefore writing the do I need to erase the option bytes is yes  how can I erase the selected memory.is there any special has to be taken while writing the data to the option byte. I am programming the stm32 with HAL 2.In reference manual STM32G491 MCU's have single bank memory(512 KB). Is it possible to divide the mwmory in to dual banks( 256KB each).If yes can anyone suggest how to do.

I made a little proof-of-concept board for the L431, as I wanted to see what it would take to do a BGA design. I've been able to program is using the STM32CubeIDE, but the board won't boot reliably.STM32CubeIDE v1.13.1Jlink Plus Compact0.1uF Bypass caps on all power pinsNo external circuit on NRSTCode is a simple GPIO toggle, which works about 75% of the time when I power cycle.  What I've tried:Adding a 10uF cap to the VDD rail.  This reduces the percentage above, making me think there's a POR or Brownout circuit that's not working.Added the 0.1uF to the NRST pin, as recommended by the getting started doc.  No change, if anything looks worse.I've verified that the 3.3V rail is stable, and that the NRST line goes low and then goes high (as expected. When it doesn't boot, it gets stuck drawing 16mA of current from the 3.3V rail. &nbs

Hi,I am a newbie learning to program STM32 via registers only. I have been doing step after step progress and managed to test and run the led blink program, timer delay, external interrupt etc. So hardware, core clock and other configurations are already tested. Now I ran into a problem of running 2 timers at the same time. I am using Timer1 as my blocking delay source (timer 1 is tested and works well), but when I entered interrupts, the need for second timer was imminent to implement timer interrupts etc.The problem arises in the first line of Timer8 setup. I have done countless test, skipping the timer 8 setup and usage results in perfectly working code (except the timer 8 of course), but as soon as I try to even enable the clock for timer 8 (or do an further timer8 and its interrupt setup) whole code jams without any response. I have been reading the datasheet for a good few days now, but after so many tests I can not resolve it on my own. Any ideas or ob

I need to output two pulses on GPIO that I will feed to another board. The first pulse is a simple PWM with 250kHz frequency and 60% duty cycle. This part was easy as I simply modified the examples of PWM given in DFP 2.8 using HAL library and I outputted it on TIM3 Channel 1. The tricky part is the second pulse. It should start on the falling edge of pulse 1 and out put a fixed number of pulses and then stop and start on next falling edge. The processor should never be involved in this. So I searched for solutions and found that it could be done using One Pulse mode and Repetition Counter register. Also I figured out that only TIM1 and TIM8 have repetition counter. So my question is how can I start the One Pulse Mode with N-

I want to make it so the DMA continuously writes the value of an ADC channel into a large buffer in a way that it doesn't write over the previous value in the buffer, but it increments the address so it fills the buffer with values from that singular ADC channel. How can I do this? I want to buffer the ADC readings first without doing anything in between so I can get a large number of readings from a small duration of time and process them later to split up the CPU loading.Also I need the one ADC channel to be the only one that gets scanned at this time out of four configured ADC channels. How?

I am starting working with STM32. I need to establish a CAN Communication Protocol of STM32F103 (a blue pill board essentially) with Texas Instrument TMS320F28234. Hi, Can you Help me anyone?I Use the STM32H503RBT6 Nucleo Board, this is a new board, and I Tried to Connect the board with my PC using a Type C Connector But the Target is not Detect it on my PC.I updated the Stlink drivers and I checked the jumpers on the board, and that's all correct, then after I tried, it did not work, I tried to update the firmware on the board using St-Link utility software but it did not detect it.I Using Keil software the Target does not detect it, but the Board LEDs or working well PWR led Glow Properly, and COM LED glows Red color only

Hey All,I made my first STM32 board using STM32G0B1RE, it arrived today, since it's blank I expected the MCU to jump into bootloader and start the DFU, however this did not happen, MCU was not detected at all by the USB, I checked further and USB DP was not pulled high which was unexpected. To check if the MCU has been entered the bootloader I check the UART TX and I2C SCK pins, and they are indeed high, indicating that MCU was indeed entered the bootloader. However, MCU is again not detected by UART. Finally, I decided use another NUCLEO board as a programmer with the SWD interface, again, the MCU is not detected. I expect the SWD interface to work irrespective of bootloader. Pulling up or down the BOOT0 makes no difference. I probed the board, and everything seems normal, voltages connections etc. I have 220 ohms series resistor on the SWD interface, which is l

I tried to enable RXNEIE with following code: USART2->CR1 = (USART_CR1_TE | USART_CR1_UE | USART_CR1_RE | USART_CR1_RXNEIE);  But when I checked CR1 register, it's still set to 0: gdb: x /8ub 0x40004400 0x40004400: 45 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 I checked the manual and there is no requirement for any pre-conditions before enabling the RXNEIE bit. Did I just miss something?

HiI use STM32H7 with free-rtos for my projct.I need to synchonized analog samples reading from 2 DMA channels and from 2 different ADCs.I use the xEventGroupWaitBits function to stop the execution of the sampling before starting a new sampling cycle.DMA-ADC interrupts of both channels releasing the WAIT by the xEventGroupSetBitsFromISR command.My problem is the time takes from the xEventGroupSetBitsFromISR (in the callbacks) until the xEventGroupWaitBits function resumes execuation - It takes 1ms which is much to much for my project. What can solve it ?Thanks
