I want to receive the data from one nucleo board through CAN protocol and it should trigger the DMA and shuffle the received data and transmit back again to another board.In ioc configuration I am unable to enable the DMA (peripheral to memory and vice versa), it is showing like Memory-to-memory configuration. Manually I added the DMA configuration and trying to link the DMA with CAN peripheral, it is showing error like CAN_HandleTypeDef has no member named 'hdmatx'

Hi all,I am having some problems connecting a comparator to a TIMER using its blanking function (as described in the AN4232 application note).I've read the COMP_OutputBlanking example found in the STM32G4 repository projects (I'm using a STM32G431).If I don't enable the blanking function in the comparator setup, the system works fine:The comparator output works as expectedThe PWM channels (TIM2_CH1 and TIM2_CH3) work as expected.After enabling the comparator blanking function on TIM2_CH3: hcomp1.Init.BlankingSrce = COMP_BLANKINGSRC_TIM2_OC3_COMP1; The comparator output stops working and the TIM2_CH3 channel does not seem to be affected by the comparator.A strange thing, if I don't start the TIM2_CH3 the comparator output works fine (even if the blanking function is enabled). What am I doing wrong? 

Hi,I am working with STM32G491RE.I communicating  ATM90E26 single phase energy meter with STM32 through SPI communication.I can able to read voltage ,current values correctly from the meter.For KWH calculation, I am reading Absolute active energy register for kwh values. In the datasheet they mentioned the values I receive from the energy register are pulses.  how can I convert pulses to kwh. can anyone suggest?my pulse constant value is 1000 imp/kwh. From the datasheet they mentioned register will be cleared after read.For that I am following below process

Hello there,   I am working on a project using an STM3240G-EVAL board which as the STM32407IGH6 MCU on it. In this project, I want to use USB-OTG-FS to connect an external USB microphone to the board and then store any information sent into the microphone into the 16 Mbit SRAM that is on the board. However, I am struggling on figuring out what pins I need to enable to get this functionality working. I am also open to hearing other ideas on how to go about this project. For example, do you suggest using DMA and ADC instead to get the microphone data. At the end of the project I need to be able to use the SRAM, an external microphone and an external speaker to playback audio as well.  Any help would be really appreciated as I am on a little bit of a time crunch and unsure what pins to enable. I am using STMcubeIDE with STMcubeProgrammer and STMcubeMX on MAC OS to run this project.     

Hello, i am trying to read internal temperature and vref values from ADC3. I shared ADC3 ioc settings. ADC clock mux freq is 96MHz and sampling time is set to ADC3_SAMPLETIME_247CYCLES_5.On init routine calibration line as below :HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc3, ADC_CALIB_OFFSET_LINEARITY, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); When i am trying to read internal temperature with :*result = __HAL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE(TEMPSENSOR_CAL_VREFANALOG, adcResult, ADC_RESOLUTION_12B);everthing is fine with roughly 44.5 degrees. Hi,I am using STM32G491RE MCU for my project. Is it true each STM32 IC has its own unique ID. For STM32G4 product has the UID facility. Is it 96-bit ID for all the stm32 families or is it different.Which manual has to be referred for this?If yes can I use that for serial number for the product.Which memory location is it stored?Can read that from IC and send it through UART?Can anyone suggest.Thanks

I am working on OTG FS application on stm32f769 discovery board, as per the it's schematic for OTG_FS VBUS power supply will be taken care by External Phy(see below image). So as per that I configure the STMCUBE IDE, and i disabled the VBUS_Sensing also. and started the debug process. I noticed that it is getting failed. I am making a product and trying to write a serial number. After looking into it, I heard that I can use the unique device ID to write the serial number, but I understand that the unique device ID is read-only. I am curious as to whether the previous method is the correct way to apply the serial number. This is my first time making a product and I want to apply a serial number, but I don't know how.

The datasheet say:USB on-the-go high-speed (OTG_HS)     The devices embed an USB OTG high-speed device/host/OTG peripheral with integrated transceivers. The OTG_HS peripheral is compliant with the USB 2.0 specification and with the OTG 2.0 specification. It has software-configurable endpoint setting and supports suspend/resume. This interface requires a precise 60 MHz clock that is generated from the internal USB PHY PLL (the clock source must use a HSE crystal oscillator).    But now I have tried it, it is also possible to use HSI as the clock source, is this a special case or can it indeed be used as the clock source? If the product is released in batches and the HSI is used as the USB HS clock source, will it often fail and the yield rate is not high? 

I've encountered an issue while implementing code on an STM32L476RG Nucleo board to receive variable-length data from Tera Term using USART2 in asynchronous mode. The baud rate is set to 1 Mbps with a 16 MHz sysclk. However, the code doesn't accurately determine the size of the data sent and gets stuck afterward. I have a small amount of per-device data (e.g. hardware revision, serial number, manufacture date) that I would like to store persistently in an STM32G030 without consuming a 2K flash sector.  Obviously one option is OTP, but I'm curious about the Flash Option bytes and have a few questions:1. What option byte addresses (if any) are available to hold user data.  The manual indicates that there are 128 option bytes at 0x1FFF7800, writable as 64-bit double-words.  The manual also shows a memory map listing the purposes of bytes 0x1FFF7800..0x1FFF782F, but no information is given about locations 0x1FFF7830..0x1FFF787F and I'm hoping those are available.This site (https://wiki.segger.com/ST_STM32G0) indicates that the STM32G0x0 only has 96 option bytes from 0x1FFF7800 - 0x1FFF785F rather than 128; I don't see anything about this in the manual; is it

I am migrating a project from STM32F373 to STM32G473. I can program the new part successfully, but I don't see PWM . The PWM values are written in user created code and I can read them back via the STLink, so I know that the part at least begins running. I'm not sure if there are new settings that may be defaulting to the wrong values that are preventing outputs. Hi all, I have been working on a project that involves using a MAX7219-based 4 x 64 LED matrix display and I experienced various issues regarding how properly control what is being displayed on the board. I used 3 different libraries as a foundation to drive the LED matrix, but no avail. The main issue is that no matter what data I transmit through SPI, the displays seemingly show garbage without any sort of consistency, that is sometimes the LEDs are lighting fast with no coherent pattern and on all 4 displays, other times they are lighting up and then going blank, or simply staying on fully despite not sending the SPI data to light them up Here is a breakdown of what was attempted:I understand from the datasheet of the MAX7219 IC: the data that is to be transmitted is 16-bit sequence whose first 8 bits contains the address of the row (or some special addresses that can address the entire display for instance) followed by 8 additional bits for the dat

Hello all,      I've been getting some strange issues occuring with some of our kit out in the field which I would like some input on. We have multiple boards that use a  stm32f030CC and stm32f091 MCU. The boards have been reported a faulty due to the stm32f030CC being non-functional. When the field engineer tried to connect to the stm32f091 using a stlink he was succesfully able to do so in connecting under reset. When he then tried connecting to the stm32f030CC he was unable to do so and had to instead connect using HOTPLUG. Given that the inital fault was failure of the stm32f030CC to run I figured that this might well be related. Once he was connected he could erase and reprogram the stm32f030CC and it then successfulffy ran. This didn't fix the "connect under reset" however and im worried that there may be some underlying damage to the stm32f030CC. Does anyone know what kind of current draw the pulse generator on the NRST

Hello everyone!After some more studying on STM32 ecosystem and how the programming of those boards work I've come to a blunder:I am designing a project with an STM32 Microcontroller that I need to program (of course), and I don't know what method should I use. Initially I thought it would be perfect to go with the USB, but then I realised that the development board that I used to program via plug'n'play USB (where the idea of USB programming came), has an ST-Link debugger included that allowed me to do so.This means that I either have to include a debugger in my schematic and PCB design (more space, more components, bigger board etc), or buy a separate one and get the JTAG/SWD pins out with a connector. I also understand that with BOOT0 hooked to power, via a switch, the MCU is programmable with USB, but I don't understand what other tools do I need to make the USB programming possible..... 1. According to the below schematic VBUS is handling by USB3300 PHY.I. VBUS Handling In the above schematic , The power switch which is handling VBUS signal is connected to CPEN pin of USB3300 PHY.
