The part STM32U585RIT6 do not have a reference power + pin.How can I connect an external reference power to this Micro? Thanks!

Hi all,I wanted to enable the write protection option byte using I2C bootloader ( Bootloader given by stm32). This can be done using the stm32 debugger also. but in my case requirement is using I2C bootloader only. MCU : STM32G0B1CET6communication protocol: I2C previously I have updated the user configuration option bytes using the same method(i2c bootloader). in which I have given the register address and the value. in that case, the option byte was updated as per the expectation.For the write protection option byte, I tried multiple times with the same method and checked the write protection option byte using a debugger, but it is not updated(it remains as default).below is the snapshot of the option byte register addr

My setup is STM32L431 with Sensirion SHT31 connected to I2C1. This setup works normally under usual conditions, but when the sensor had intermittent connections, the software started to behave unexpectedly. HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() takes a pointer to a uint32_t buffer, but the cubeMX can configure the DMA for word, half_word or byte.So therefore you can only configure the DMA for word transfers?I was setting the cubeMX to half_word or uint16_t and using 12bit adc, but I noticed the compiler warning about HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() taking a uint32_t.It is simple for me just to use a uint32_t buffer, but am I missing something?

Hello everyone!I am making a project with STM32F072 MCU and I have 3 devices that need to be controlled via I2C: a DAC, an ADC and a current monitor that has an ADC integrated. I've made the connections and part choices so that I have 3 different 7-bit addresses for them: 1001001, 1000000 and 1100000.There is one question that I have: I don't understand from the datasheet if it supports 3 devices or just 2 on the same I2C1 Bus.... can someone clarify me if its possible, or I need the other I2C as well for 3rd device?Can someone clarify if I need to use the 2nd I2C for my 3rd device or not? Thanks

hello :)I am trying to program my MCU via system ROM bootloader. I have read an3154-can-protocol-used-in-the-stm32-bootloader-stmicroelectronics reference manual &an2606-stm32-microcontroller-system-memory-boot-mode-stmicroelectronics. I wrote a C++ program as a host, I can read and erase pages from memory, but I cannot write to the flash.I have success only write a page of 256 bytes to the base address of each sector, if i try to write to other locations it fails.i added a pictures of a sector that i tried to write to. as the manual says i am writing 256 bytes every time. as you can see only the first 256 bytes succeeded. any ideas? thanks, Eliran.

I use B-U585I-IOT02A to read after writing Flash Memory, 0xFF is read, but once I reset it, I can read the written value.Similarly, when I use it to read after erasing the Flash Memory, the value before erasing is read, but once I reset it, I can read 0xFF.In short, the correct value cannot be read unless reset once for both Write and Erase.Is there any processing that must be done after programming or erasing?

It seems that stm32cubeide generated elf file not support in many application. So is there any way to solve this issue? 

I trying to figure out, how i should set up the complementary channels to achieve the signals, shown in the picture.If i would activate them (tim_oc1n), they would have a pwm, like the normal channel (just inverted). So i think it is only possible to switch them between off state run mode ( OSSR - high or low) and normal pin configuration (high or low). But doing this, i can just use the normal pin function anyway.Did i miss something?

Hi,I am creating a windows application to program an STM32G070 MCU using its built-in bootloader (MCU is blank) using UART & hex file.Programing is completed successful but to start the program i currently need to reset the device physically, which i would like to avoid.Going through AN3155, the Go Command (0x21) seems to be the answer i was looking for, but although i am getting the desired ACK, the program fails to execute and i still need to reset manually.I tired the following addresses:0x080000000x080000040x0800270D0x08002709The two last addresses were taken from the hex file 05 command as shown below. The last option is the address minus 4.:040000050800270DBBWhat am i missing? Best RegardsRan

I just bought STM32 Discovery Board with STM32F407VGT6U ICs, the thing is i use the stm32duino extension on arduino IDE, and on one laptop we can't upload it, on other laptop the Board can't send Serial data, previously i use the STM32F407VET6 series and work just fine. also i hear that the 'U' at the end stand for the Java dedicated device? is it true? and can i make it like VGT6 basic series? also some people said you need to erase it to make it like normal, how to do it? Hi allI'm configuring STM32U5A5VJT to work with the USB HS crystaless. From the Cube it seems to be possibile to use one of the integrated oscillators as clock source for the USB HS but this is not mentioned in the datasheet.I'm afraid that it could work but not in all the situations such as with high and low temperature.Moreover in the STM32L4 I can use the 32768 crystal as calibrator for the internal oscillator that feeds the USB clock but in this case we are in USB FS while for U5 it's USB HSMy question is: Is the HSE crystal mandatory for USB HS?

Hello,I'm looking the vector table described in the Table 97 of the STM32G4 series reference manual, and it shows interrupts with different characteristics, such as TIM1_BRK/TIM15 and TIM6_DACUNDER, being allocated to the same address. This is very confusing to me because I first thought TIM1 and TIM15 have something to do with a master/slave relation, but it was not.My question is why are these confusing definitions happen. Is that due to the hardware constraints of the Cortex core?Thanks,macalon

Hello,I setup a USB virtual com port which I use for serial comm.  My design has 2 boards; a panel-board and main-board.  The main-board has an STM32F373 with a USB-C connector as well as ESD321DYAR diodes for DM and DP USB line protection.The main-board can be used on its own, but can also be optionally connected into the panel-board ( a front panel ).  For convenience, I would like the panel-board to also have a USB C connector so that the user can plug a USB cable into the front panel instead of the main-board.  Both USB C connectors lead to the same USB virtual com port on the main board.I would like to add ESD321 protection close to both connectors, but noticed having 2 ESD on the DM/DP lines instead of 1 ESD resulted in failed USB communiation.  I'm assuming the 1.4V drop ( instead of 0.7V ) caused by the diodes is too much and causing the failed comm.  What is the best way to ESD protect both connector

Hi,I am using a STM32L4ZIT6 MCU. I want to monitor 4.2V Lipo battery voltage on an ADC pin. I have experimented two approaches:First:I used a 332k - 820k divider in order to drain low queiescent current. This is an high impendance measurement, where RIN = 236k (equal to the parallel of the resistors). According to AN2834, I increased the sample time (640 cycles) and I added by software 50ms of delay between measurements. However, I always get about +50mV offset compared to real value. Second:I used a 100k - 100k divider for a lower impedance with switch mosfet closed only at measurement time, where RIN = 50k. In this case I always get lower values than real values. In this case I reduced sample time.  In both case, a calibration is run at MCU startup. Reference voltage is 3,24V.How can I improve accuracy? which is the better strategy?

I am using two STM32F405's to read a switch and have some diagnostics.I interface this to an analog input on one MCU and a digital input (no pull up/down) on another MCU.However, I have cross-talk with the neighboring analog channels and more severe, also disturbances when doing radiated immunity tests (100 V/m).The circuit is like shown (actually there are several identical interface circuits):The ADC is running continuous scan mode, 28 cycles, 10 MHz.It seems that decreasing capacitor at AIN (C3) to e.g. 100 pF improves the immunity. This is one that baffles me:I set up Timer 8, and everything haasworking perfect. All: I have connected internal temperature to ADC3, and I am able to display degrees C on "Live Expressions".  The particular chip we are working with has an operating range of -40 C to + 85 C. If I am monitoring the internal temperature on a regular basis (once per second), is there a temperature that would be good for fault condition? I am assuming I do not want to fault at 85 C, but is there a temperature that people have generally used as a condition to fault? (Is 75 C a good temperature to raise an alarm?) By the way, my Nucleo board generally runs at 30 C, after starting at roughly 26 C when first powered. Regards, Todd Anderson
