Hi,I hope somebody can explain the following behavior:I use a NUCLEO-G474RE board for I2C testing. I have an external I2C slave which provides the required pull-ups for SDA/SCL when it's powered.Now my STM32 started with connected but not powered I2C slave and tried to communicate, which was not possible due to the missing pull-ups and because of missing slave supply. Then I powered the slave but SDA/SCL still show LOW level, measured with a scope. When disconnecting SDA/SCL I see HIGH levels at the slave side, what tells me that the pull-ups do what they should do and that the STM32 pulls the signals low permanently.When checking the I2C state it shows READY and the last error was a TIMEOUT.I use the HAL for the I2C interface.Can anybody tell me what happens with the pin states of my I2C interface?Thanks and best regards

Dear all,I have the STM32F469 discovery kit which is working. I want to use the STM32F469 to drive a 4" tft lcd screen using its 31 pin mipi connector. The goal is to get a gauge displayed on it, I was thinking of using LVGL to design the GUI.I have a hard time getting started with this and was wondering if anyone has a good tutorial to get started?Many thanks

Hi,I have purchased a sensor expansion board (X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1) for my board (NUCLEO - F446ZE). However, when I wanted to display the data on Unicleo-GUI, the GUI cannot detect anything, not even my firmware. I looked through the datasheet for Unicleo-GUI and I did not see IKS4A1 being a supported model for the GUI. Could this be the issue? In terms of setting up the board, I basically followed "Getting started with X-CUBE-MEMS1 with STM32CubeMX" document, specifically the steps under section 7.2 --"Use of MEMS Library with sample applications for X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 or X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 or X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1". Am I following the wrong step?Best.

Hello,I am using for the first time the FDCAN peripheral. I have configured it in classic CAN 2.0 mode and I have problems with transmission.In particular, when I start a transmission, nothing is output on the tx pin, and the TRP field in the FDCAN_TXBRP register remains stuck at 1. The FDCAN tx/rx pins are connnected to a well terminated bus, where is present another CAN node.It can't be a bus arbitration problem, because the other CAN node doesn't send messages on the bus by its own. I'm encountering an issue while attempting to configure my STM3240G-EVAL board to function as a “Mass Storage Device” with a microSD as Storage.I used the MX configurator and followed tutorials but encountered the same issue every time. I can compile but if I connect the board via USB to my computer no device is detected. Here's a breakdown of my configuration in MX:SDIO and DMA:SDIO is in “SD 4 bits Wide bus”-DMA2 is active (SDIO_RX to DMA2 Stream 3 and SDIO_TX to DMA2 Stream 6) SDIO global interrupts are enable.I tried different SDIOCLK clock divide factors (PCLK2 are 84MHz)MSC:USB_OTG_FS is “Device_Only”Class for FS IP in USB_DEVICE is set to “Mass Storage Class”. the other options are untouched. Did I miss something or had somebody the same issue?

Hi,I could use some help getting started with SPI5 (limited feature set). I want to operate as SPI master and send a single byte. I want to control SS manually as ordinary GPIO out.I've enabled the peripheral clock, and I can see in the debugger that FIFO flag TXTF goes high when I write to TXDR, and that I set CSTART. But nothing comes on MOSI or SCK, and EOT is never set.Do you spot anything obvious in the code below?What puzzles me is that if I set SSIOP = 0 and use the same code, TXTF and CSTART is not set. Hey, I am trying to send 20 messages over FDCAN using the G0B1RE Nucleo board. The problem is that only a few messages arrive (~12 most of the time), the messages have wrong data and sometimes it crashes the FDCAN-Module. I need physical access to PA4 (DAC_OUT1) and PA5 (DAC_OUT2) so I can display them both on the oscilloscope.  The DAC example says you can access PA4 via Pin 17 on P1 (camera) connector. But that is tiny. Is there some other way I can access both DAC pins. How are people displaying both DAC channels on an oscilloscope for example if its hard to access these pins? Hi all,I am in the process of bringing up a prototype board with a STM32L4R7ZIT6 up. I'm using one DAC channel via the opamp. This is working all right, until I designate the default output of the DAC to another function e.g. dig output. The DAC is configured as 'only to on chip peripherals.' If the io-pin is at reset state, the output voltage appears at the opamp output pin.I am using CubeMX for generating the startup code. 75% of the IO is configured. I hope someone has a clue.

- STM32G0B0RE     Our controller was running fairly well but on occasion we were seeing the windowed watchdog trip(The IWDDGRSTF flag set on reboot.) We were not sure whether this was a too short or too long trip so decided to extend the window wider(set the Reload counter from 1800 to 2500.) The kick logic runs from the system clock and is set to reload the every 1.0 second or greater.     The original window should be running between ~781msec and 1.77 sec +/- the 32kHz clock inaccuracy. What is odd is that this work very well but on occasion would trip. But simply expanding the end of the window to 2.44 sec (~781msec to 2.44 sec) the watchdog trips frequently.      Is there some relationship between the two times that we did not understand from RM0454? Is there something wrong with the setup code below?Thanks   

HiThe DataSheet doesn"t give the input impedance of internal OP-AMP in follower mode.The only value is for PGA mode.There is a similar question about STM32U575 on the forum but not answer... Thanks for your help have a good day. Aurélien

Hi all,A USB device should pull up DP when it detects VBUS power only. This is described in the USB standards and ST AN4879 factsheet. Question 1. Is there any other (smarter) way with the STM32L072 than to monitor VBUS power on a GPIO yourself (via resistor voltage devider or active cirquit) and then toggle DPPU bit of USB_BCDR register yourself when input value of GPIO changes to implement this function? Question 2. Or is it normal to just set + leave DPPU bit high always (which implies that the device you are making is not really USB complient)? My bigger question off course is: how do I implement a complient USB device with a STML072?Greetz & thanks,Jan

I have buy STM32F407VET6 discovery in the past, and for some reason i need some more. been looking on the local marketlist on my country most don't sell it anymore, and my past store still hasn't restocking it yet, and i'm found similar board with same layout but the part number are STM32F407VGT. can anyone tell me the difference of both? well from pinouts and pinout capabilities such as I2C, Interrupt etc.

Hi, I am trying to implement printf with UART using DMA. The problem is when i use consecutive printf's in my code, transmission of the first data is not being waited. I implemented a control block to check if the transmission is completed but it does not work. At first, i wrote this control block by changing dmi.sending flag. It did not work, so i decided to get the state directly from huart. It did not work either. When i debug the code and add breakpoint to HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(dmi.huart, (uint8_t*) ptr, len);then the execution is successfull. I can see "123456\ntest\n" in the terminal. Hello,I need to power the NucleoF103 development board using an external 3.3V power supply. I have read in the NucleoF103 manual that this is possible by removing SB2 (to disconnect the voltage regulator output) and SB12 (to disconnect NRST). I also have read the schematics of the board and it looks that the power supply for the microcontroller (VDD) is provided by 3.3V connector through the JP6 jumper. Is the same thing if I mantain SB2 connected, remove the JP6 jumper and provide the 3.3 power supply to the pin of the JP6 jumper instead of the 3.3V pin of the Arduino connector? Moreover, what is the reason for disconnecting NRST by removing SB12? I have already programmed the board using ST-Link before switching to the external 3.3V power supply. Is there any other way to proceed without removing SB12 (for example connecting T_NRST on CN4 to ground)?Thanks.Marco
