STM32 MCUs Products

In our system with SMT32G041F6P6 powered by a battery, device gets to hung state when kept idle for few hours or days (randomly). We have already implemented a window  watchdog to detect any faults. Even with watchdog enabled, we are getting this hang issue. ( In this hang state, we couldn't see any kind of LED UI indications upon pressing the button which is the expected behaviour in idle state)When the NRST was checked , it was HIGH at that instant. At the instant, battery level is adequate. The device was only recovered by doing software reset. 

I need to make 2 DAC channels 4bit each. I plan to use QSPI in double flash mode.Task is to play prerecorded samples from RAM cyclically. Samplerate is 45Msamples/secondI plan to use DMA in circular mode to send data from RAM to QSPIAre there limitations on summary samples count? Because I see data size fields in QSPI  registersAre there any other limitations for my setup?

I have been trying to use the FatFS file system to create a new file on the SD card, or to read a simple txt file on the SD card. However, I seem to be running into issues after mounting the SD card. Initially, I ran code to:- mount sd card in main- open file in while loopand sent value of testmount, fr via UART to confirm 1 or otherwise. I was able to receive a pass message or '1' for mount, but would not receive any of the test messages or the value of fr once the f_open line was reached.I was unsure if I had issues with incorrectly mounting the SD card, so I then- mounted SD card in main - used f_getfree function to see information about volume size in main.Likewise, I was getting 1/receiving the pass mount message, but nothing after the getfree function.What are some reasons this could be happening? Is there an issue with how I am mounting my SD card? Are there issues elsewhere? When I use the debugger it breaks at the

HI,I am using a STM32F446RE which is the 64pin package.AN4760 states that "LQFP64 supports only Bank1 and Single-SPI/Dual-SPI only"Does this mean that I am unable to use the QSPI on this chip to be memory mapped?When configuring the chip in CubeMX, QSPI comes up, but obviously only uses NCS, IO0, IO1, and CLKI have searched as much as I am able to, but have been unable to find anything definitive. Good morning,I'm trying to develop a simple Hello World printf example by writting "Hello World" into the port0 of ITM. There are several tutorials telling that 0xE000EDFCU is the base address to set the bit TRCENA to 1. However, when I try to debug my application using the ST-LINK and the SWV ITM Data Console, the port 0 does not display the message, even if the trace is enabled. Is it 0xE000EDFCU the correct base address? The Reference Manual does not contain any information about it. I am trying to use the cryptographic hash processor on the STM32h723xx, however, I cannot find the registers like HASH_CR defined in the device header files.Can someone please advise If I should be using the register definition from another MCU device file, Do the hash features exist in this MCU?If they do not exist what other MCUs from the same H7 family would have this feature?Thanks   

I want to use STM32F407V in USB device MSC mode. The device has battery to run the MCU. To fetch data from device, it will be connected to LAPTOP by USB cable.Please confirm below configuration for schematic1) Connect PA9 to VBUS on USB connector,  perferably by voltage divider so voltage never exceed 5V. But whats the purpose of PA9 connecting to Vbus , I am not sure..2) Do not need any pull up on USB_DP, as MCU has internal pull up as mentioned in datasheet. I hope I am not missing any point.  Thanks 

Hello,I'm working with the nucleo_h563zi board and Zephyr (3.6).  I'm trying to build using MCU Boot and firmware update. I  have been able to successfully build MCUBoot and flash it to the device. That boots but fails with the "Unable to find bootable image" which is expected as there is no application flashed at this point. Next, I am able to build and flash my application to the board.  I'm using the Zephyr Blinky sample as a minimal test.  I've made sure to configure the partitions and MCUBoot options correctly. When I flash it to the board, however, I get the following error:

Hello,I have a custom board with a STM32L010C6 MCU, which periodically reads 3 bytes (24 bit array) from an external component through SPI.I only need SCLK and MISO since the frame resets using a timeout.I configured the SPI as Only-Receiving Master, which didn't work OK. Now I am using the SPI peripheral as a Full-Duplex Master with software NSS and I perform data reads by polling function HAL_SPI_Receive().It seems to work OK, with some delay between bytes.The problem is that I periodically get bad data in the MCU. I identified that this happens when the SPI clock is not divided by 8-bit packets.

Hello.The MCU currently in use is STM32L031G6X.In order to minimize current during sleep, the external circuit currently uses 100K pull-down to PB3 to set it to "Rising Interrupt" and UART 1 for testing.When measuring the current, remove the external console jig connected to UART1.I set it to standby mode, it's 3.3uA, but wake it up with RTC interrupt and PA0WAKE pin, the system will resetIt doesn't fit the mode I'm trying to use, so I'm trying to minimize the current in stop mode.The code in stop mode is as follows.If i disabled SystemPower_Config(); will wake up well in RTC and PB3 button interrupts, but the current will be measured at 22uA.If I enabled SystemPower_Config();, it can't get out of the sleep without resetting it after going into the sleep.I

I am trying to run BDMA on STM32H7B3 in double buffering mode. During debugging, I can see that some registers are missing in BDMA->CCRx. According to the documentation, DBM should be located at position 15 and CT at position 16. Where can I download the corrected STM32H7B3.svd file?

Hello,I'm testing USB Power Delivery (in dula role power) over STM32G0.I used ST wiki guide : https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Introduction_to_USB_Power_Delivery_with_STM32It's works except for a specific case :STM32G0 is configured in DRP-Source with PDO 5V/2AI connect to it a Sink which required 5V/3AThen the Source can provide this powerIn this case, I would like that USB power works at default current (500mA)Unfortunatly, it doesn't work and USB-PD power negociation restarts indefinitelyIs there a way to correct that ?

Hi,We have now a problem with some boards, H7A3ZI or H743ZI , when switching off :   RTC stops working !RTC is powered on VBAT with a standard CR2032 and was working as it should on about 500 boards since more than a year. Now (some) batteries loosing voltage and we get errors, because RTC no more working.This happend at first at about 2,7V (cell voltage), now even on new boards with 3,0V cells.The problem starts at the moment of power off, when VDD falling (to 2V or so) , the internal switch going to use the VBAT as supply for RTC and backup ram. On affected boards is about 5 ms (!) long the LSE oscillation away, then starting (on VBAT supplied now) again - or no more, showing the error on next startup.Is there anything we can do, to avoid this ? Or is there some "known problem" with the H7 series, when switching to VBAT ?   (In errata i found nothing about this problem.)

I followed this tutorial https://medium.com/@pasindusandima/stm32-usb-virtual-com-port-vcp-bc7cb1bd5f5 to set up a USB data transmission from my board to a Virtual COM Port. After building the project and running with debugger, I only see "STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM Port (COM5)" and "ST-Link Debug" on my device manager. After using PuTTY to listen to serial port COM5, I see no activity in the terminal. However, I noticed that the tutorial does not use COM5 and instead uses "STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COM10)". But when I run my program, no new USB devices show up, and only the original two mentioned before are present. How can I get the correct COM port to show up on my device manager? 

I have my OCTOSPI1 as QSPI working - in "indirect mode", now using DMA: it generates a very clean waveform (no gaps between words or bytes as in "polling mode", a smooth waveform).I use also OCTOSPI1 as a "regular SPI transmitter" (acting as SPI Tx). But due to fact that OCTOSPI is NOT a "regular SPI" (it is NOT "full-duplex"): I use SPI3 as a SPI Slave RX:I connect QSPI SCLK with SPI3 SCLK and SPI3 MOSI is QSPI DIO1 (as MISO). Now I have shared pins for QSPI and a regular SPI on the same QSPI pins. I works.I use also SPI3 Rx DMA. We were using HSI as the clock source before and found out that HSI will not work very well with high temperatures for UARTs, So we added an External crystal clock (16Mhz) but I am unable to get Comms out of UARTs now (There are some random values coming through uart sometimes). I used STM32F072C8T6.ADC - IN0, IN1 set.An application that measures temperature with an NTC temperature sensor.​   ​PullUp resistance 10K was connected to Vdd (3.29V) and PA0, PA1..When the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function is executed, the voltage of ADC - PA0, PA1 is measured by 3.7 (V).If the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function is not run (normal GPIO call setup), 3.29(V) is measured normally.How can it be higher than the input voltage of 3.29(V)?

I'm seeing strange behavior trying to write to the ADC1_JSQR register. This register controls the channel sequence and the trigger source of injected conversions. After enabling the ADC (ADEN=1), a write to bits 7:0 (JEXTEN, JEXTSEL & JL) locks out further writes to ADC1_JSQR so that subsequent writes are ignored. Writes from both C and gdb seem to exhibit the same behavior.Paragraph 15.3.10 "Constraints when writing the ADC control bits" in RM0365 makes me wonder if writing to the ADC registers in the wrong order. I've been testing ST chips and started with the STM32F411 using my own board for testing with the SD card, which I wasn't able to get working. Thinking it was my fault, I ordered the STM32F412 Discovery board and I can confirm that using the examples, the SD card works fine. When I try to get it running on my own, without examples, configuring through the Device Configuration Tool, I'm unable to make it work. I must be doing something else wrong, but I don't know what, and I've been struggling with it for two days now. Can you help me, please? Thank you and regards.
