Hi,we are trying to get a 800x800 display to work with the STM32U5G9VJT6Q, using either RGB888 or RGB565 in Video Mode (Burst).According to what we read it is definitely possible. Did we miss something?Could someone please confirm that is definitely possible?Much appreciatedThank you

I am using I2S (SAI) on the STM32L433 nucleo board and using the internal MSI RC as the clock source.I also have a 32.768kHz LSE external crystral which I believe helps to make the MSI RC clock more accurate when used with PLL.Is the internal MSI RC clock suitable for I2S, or do I need to use an external crystal HSE (12.288MHz) ?I do get occasional glitches/clicking but I am using development boards with jumper wires, even a small amount of movement with these wires cause issues.The clock configuration is below...The STM32 is configured to be the I2S master which receives audio from a bluetooth

Hello STM Community - This post is in reference to the recent STM32U3 workshop webinar. I worked through the rather involved / complicated setup associated with the NFC example. Once the code was generated, 23 errors were returned during compilation. Not sure whether to chase down the 23 errors or request a "known good" project ZIP. I want to use only LDO supply configuration for the internal power regulator that provides the VCORE and I don't really intend to use the SMPS configuration. My schematic has some hardware mistakes, just want to understand their impact before doing a rev. 1. According to RM0399, Section 7.4 - Figure 22, when using LDO supply, do we still need the cap (mentioned) on the VCAP pin? Is it recommended or mandatory? Hi.I have Uart pins (Rx/Tx) PA3 and PA2 on STM32F407VET6. Can these pins be changed to I2C (SDA SCL) in the program?Are the pins on STM32 that have been assigned a protocol (SPI/I2C/Uart) constant and cannot be changed or replaced?Thank you.

 The maximum I2C (Standard) Rise Time/Fall Time of STM32F413VGT is stated as 0.1us/0.3us, but STM32 Datasheet says 1us/3us. Please confirm which one is correct.  

Hi fellows,I have a custom board with STM32F407VGT6. The board was able to be programmed via the JTAG (4 wire JTAG interface; Boot pin is pulled low to ground and reset is connected to the JTAG interface (Nrset pin)) with a segger programmer - multiple times at that and can run for hours, however sometimes it code wipes. The board works fine for some time, but only upon boot-up (at random, happened twice thus far) we have seemingly a code-wipe as well as a bricked chip with the RDP set to 0xFF and unable to do anything with the chip. This does not happen during continuous running of the chip. We have this across 2 differently designed boards, which are designed according to the reference manual for power supply and for the tests were supplied with external linear regulator with low noise.   I have seen some posts here but not conclusive solutions or cause for this issue, is it possible to trigger this external

Hi All,I am trying to send data to SPI1 via DMA1 Stream 0, using a timer to trigger DMA.Currently, I have used TIM4 Channel2 and Enabled DMA Update with DIER register (UDE bit).DMAMUX1 Channel 0 Request is set to 32.So far, this part seems to work: I have used a LED to monitor HT and TC flags of DMA, and it toggles at the speed it should.But the SPI does not send anything (I checked the MOSI and SCK lines with an oscilloscope)... as if TXDR register was not filled by the DMA.Do you have an idea of what is happening?I have checked that my buffer xyDacData is correct (not null), and also I monitored SPI CR1 as well as SPI SR with SWD debug, all seems OK (SR is null, CR1 shows SPE and CSTART at 1).Thank you!(About SSM and SSI bits, I have set these to test, but they should be useless, since I am in master transmitter mode.. /* * FBx_XY.c * * Created on: Sep 10

Hello, i am stuck on UART topic and i have an argument with someone.He states that ReadMemory(0x11) is sent by STM32. Is that really so? Does STM32 at any point sends "0x11" as response? I must be missing something...

Hi in an dual core stm32h7, if we use each iwdg for each cores, when iwdg trigger reset,it will reset the particular core or both the cores will reset.If particular core reset happens means, how to manage the other core from initial boot.Suppose if cm7 IWDG trigger reset, meanwhile cm4 is running on other side, during this time after cm7 reset we have to read the iwdg register, then perform nvic reset?If cm4 iwdg trigger reset, it will affect the other side running cm7 core.  Regards,Srinath  

Hello, I'm posting a new message because the previous one was not answered with successful connection. The problem is that when MCU is populated on my board with Read-Our Protection enabled, it is not possible to connect STM32CubeProgrammer v.2.21.0 to that MCU, it becomes a brick.This option was available in the version 2.0.0. that doesn't work on Windows 11.How can be done two step connection: 1) full erase and 2) connection ? Thanks,Alex

I have a custom board with an STM32G051.  The STM32 is a SPI receive only device.  PA1 is SCLK, PA2 is MOSI, PB0 is nSS (which is hardware controlled).  The beginnings of the project where created with CubeMX so the clocks should all be set correctly.The SPI transactions are simple 12-bit data with an active low chip select.  Note that the MISO signal is not connected on the board.  The master device does not read any data from the STM32G051.The SPI peripheral is setup as below: hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SP

i have written a driver code to run 4 wire resistive touch panel. I use only 1 adc and change its adc channel during runtime. Like i set X+ and Y+ as output high by default and X- and Y- set as low by default and set X- and y- pull down to make ADC read 0 when not pressed. Basically, I have few functions that change the configuration such as X+ and X- to output, set Y+ to analog and Y- to input to set Y+ and Y- as an output, set X+ to analog and X- to input. read x voltage in previous case and read y voltage in later case. ADC is only one to switch the configuration during runtime and its resolution is 16 bit with 810.5 cycles sampling time.    ISSUES: 1- gpio output 3.3v and ground but its adc measuring voltage is from (0.7 to 1.15 for x axis) and (0.55 to 2.8 for y axis) 2- if i move the wires then its voltage ranges change.   Is this issue related with the firmware de

To improve the wakeup time and not miss any data, I clock the USART directly from the HSI and I configured the wakeup clock to be the HSI. I'm wondering if someone could confirm this is a safe thing to do at 115200 baudrate? Hello,I'm slightly confused about the options in the STM32CUBE VSCode extension Project setup window.From the left dropdown i can select the Project, where i have options x, x_AppliSecure, x_AppliNonSecure and x_FSBL, for each of the left options, i can select Secure, Secure-only and Non-secure from the right dropdown for the Security model. I haven't found documentation which describes what do these options mean.For example, if i select x_AppliSecure from the left dropdown and Non-secure from the right drop down, which sounds like a conflict, what happens? In which scenario should i choose which of the 12 available Project-Security model combinations? Also, I assume that Secure means Secure + Non-secure, as Secure-only must mean secure only and Non-secure probably means Non-secure only?In the same win

Hello! I need help. STM32L073RZT6 MCU.How can I write, for example, 2 times 8 Bytes into any second half-page of flash memory?Every first page is recorded successfully and read successfully. For example, I write 8 Bytes of data to the beginning of the _writeBuf buffer (half page size) (fill the rest with zeros), erase the entire page of interest (*(__IO uint32_t *)_write_address = 0;), write _writeBuf to the first half page, the recording is successful. Write a next 8 bytes of data to _writeBuf after current 8 Bytes of data and I write it down in the first half page in the same way, it also goes well. With a similar operation, the first 8 Bytes are written to any second half page successfully, but when the next 8 Bytes are written to any second half page, the NOTZEROERR error occurs.

Both in the manual and in CubeMX, it is shown that my microcontroller, has the ability to configure the FMC, for an asynchronous muxed PSRAM interface.However, in the manual I can only find the timing description for the asynchronous NOR Flash and for synchronous NOR/PSRAM.Am I missing something here, or is it missing in the manual itself?

Hi.I am trying to test out a fault handler for our STM32G (right now, the fault handler just tries to determine the location of the code that caused the fault).If I force a fault (divide by zero) in "normal" non-interrupt handler code, I can easily read the stack frame, find the PC and determine the location of the fault (stack frame is located in the process stack).If I force a fault in an interrupt handler (USART1, using HAL code), the stack frame on the main stack does not make sense to me (what I think the PC is, does not point to a location in flash memory). If I add 0x50 to the address in the MSP, then I can see a stack frame with the correct PC.Is there a section in PM0214 that can explain what I'm seeing?I attached a few screenshots from the debugger in STM32CubeIDE that show the call stack and memory.In my example, the MSP in the fault handler points to 0x2001fde8, and the LR is 0xfffffff1.  The stack frame I'm expecting to see

I am experiencing an issue when trying to use STOP3 mode on an STM32U575VIT6Q device mounted on a custom PCB. In fact, the MCU never seems to actually enter STOP3, even though I explicitly call:HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP3Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); HAL_ResumeTick();The observed behavior is as follows:With Low-Power debugging enabled, STM32CubeIDE halts execution on the internal low-level _WFI()  instruction.Without the debugger attached (free-running mode after BOR and JTAG detached), the MCU does not appear to enter STOP3 at all and continues normal execution after the call.From code inspection and debugging, it looks like the core is effectively ignoring the WFI instruction or is prevented from transitioning into STOP3 by some system or external condition.At the moment, it is unclear what might be blocking STOP3 entry. I have implemented a sensorless, six-step trapezoidal control with feed-back as zero crossing detection using back emf with the help of ADC on the nucleo-G431 board.The BLDC motor is A2212/13T, 1000 kV.Without a propellor, the motor is spinning, and speed is also changing.But with the propellor, the motor is stuck at starting, and it is not rotating.Give some suggestions on what could be the reason and what modifications need to be done on the firmware and software sides.

I am looking for example software for Display Port Alt mode for the STM32G0B1 eval board.  I can't find it in the repository after searching most folders.  The daughtercard schematic (MB1352) shows the DP alt mode connections, so I think this software exists and I am just not looking in the right place.  Any suggestions on where to find the software example or even low level drivers for this would be appreciated.Thanks, Sonya
