Need getting-started help with STM32C011J6M6 MCU and USART1 in single-wire Async mode (using STM32Cube toolchain and C language.)The hardware configuration is just  the STM32C011J6M6 MCU (8-pin SOIC package) with one pin (pin 1) pulled up (4.7K to 3.3V). Intent is to use this in single-wire Async mode to communicate with outside world. All other MCU pins have similar pull-up resistors but are not otherwise connected. Power to the MCU for this test is furnished by the STLINK device. The test is using programmed I/O (no DMA,  no interrupts.) Hi, I have an STM32C092RCT6U development board and I am trying to perform UART-based bootloading. My board has a B3 button for selecting the boot mode. I am using the Flash Loader Demonstrator to flash the application, but I keep getting the following error:“No response from the target, the bootloader cannot be started.” I also tried using STM32CubeProgrammer. I configured it for UART and attempted to connect, but the connection fails with the error: “Activating device: KO. Please verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device and try again.” I am using a USB-to-UART module connected to PA10 (RX) and PA9 (TX) with the lines crossed (TX→RX, RX→TX).I also tested using inbuilt Virtual COM port, However, the device is unable to communicate and does not en

Hello,For the last couple of days I have tried to create a bit stream with DMA using a timer but have not yet succeeded. The problem seems to be loading the data from an array into the timer register. I have tried this exact same code on an STM32L072 and it worked perfect but when going to the STM32U083 it doesnt anymore. Since the STM32U083 is a newer model I cant find too much about it online so if anyone also has some recommendations on info about this microcontroller and the HAL library online I would appreciate it. The settings of the timer, when I change the pulse I can see this on the scope. Also when using the DMA function to load the data in it seems that the pulse is dependent on the length of the array, it just seems like it doesnt use the values in the array.

My target is a 144 pin version of the STM32H5.I would like to implement both a JTAG and a FMC interface.More specifically, a 24-bit muxed-PSRAM.And I would like to output the Byte enable signals.However on this package size, there is only one possible pin for NBL1, PA15.Which is also the DEBUG_JDI pin.Is there any way to route the value of NBL1 to another GPIO pin?

Hello, I’m working with an STM32F446 and have configured GPIOB pin 12 as an EXTI input. After initialization and before entering the main while loop, I call a function that blocks program execution(what I mean by blocking : I have a test that stands in a blocking while until I receive the first bytes of USART reception) . In this scenario, changing the pin state does not trigger the EXTI interrupt. However, if I comment out this blocking function, the EXTI works as expected. I also observe the same behavior if I insert a while(1) loop before the main loop.Has anyone experienced similar behavior? If yes, do you know what the solution might be? Thank you in advance.Aymen

I have an I2C device that only operates with 1.8V logic (Pins are not 3.3V tolerant) that I want to connect to the STM32N6.  I don't want to add an I2C redriver if I can avoid it.  I want to keep as many of my I/O pins on the STM32N6 powered from 3.3V as I can. Which power rail on the STM32N6 determines the logic high voltage for the I2C bus? I want to use the 1.8V rail on my design for the I2C SDA and SCL pull-up resistors.Thanks

Hello, I’m trying to transmit data at 2.5 Mbps (2500000 baud), but I’m not receiving any output. The same code works correctly at 2 Mbps, so the issue only appears when using 2.5 Mbps.I tested both 64 MHz and 40 MHz clock configurations for the UART. At 64 MHz, CubeMX shows a warning:“Real Baudrate set at BRR register is 2.461538 Mbits/sec. Error: -1.54%.”Because of this error, I switched to a 40 MHz configuration, which gives the exact 2.5 Mbps baud rate—but I still don’t receive any data.Is there any additional configuration required to make the MCU reliably transmit at 2.5 Mbps?

I'm trying to drive a display controller and have found it trickier than I anticipated, and I hope you can kindly help. My microcontroller is the STM32U545. My display controller is the UltraChip UC1628c_A, as part of a custom 160x160 monochrome LCD. Our display's only data interface is the S8 4-wire interface described on page 32 of that link. It's half-duplex SPI with an additional pin called Control/Data (CD), or sometimes Command/Data. Each byte of the message that we send is either Control or Data. It works, but after some (random) time the code gets stuck at    configASSERT( pxQueue->uxItemSize == 0 ); I tried some settings but nothing helps. It is stopping even if I do not send data . 

Hello,I’m developing a USB composite device on STM32 that combines RNDIS and CDC interfaces.The device works perfectly the first time it’s connected to a Windows 10 PC — both RNDIS and CDC functions operate normally.However, after I reset the MCU or power-cycle the board, Windows shows the following error in Device Manager:“This device cannot start. I've just brought the stm32h573i-dk dev board and what to become familiar with Threadx and USBx. I have a uni project coming up that I would like to use the board as a msc device but struggling to get the board to enumerate with the PC. I have tried to get majority of the USBx reference designs up and running. They compile fine but nothing happens when I connect the board to a PC on cn17 ( the non stl-link usb). Is there anything I'm doing  wrong to get it up and running . Is there something I need to enable to for the USB port to work?  I also have a couple of u5 and h5 nucleo boards I would also like to get up and running With various forms of USB Once I have the discovery board working. Any pointers would be greatly welcome. Thanks

Hi I'm trying to use an LP TIM to generate an interrupt after a time interval on an STM32U073CCT6. The interrupt will wake the processor from STOPMODE2.I haven't found any examples, and the STM32CUBE MX doesn't have a software-triggered single-shot option. The LPTM1 clock is LSI. HiWe're looking at an application where it may be helpful for an STM32N6x7 MCU to encode and store video from an ST image sensor then later recover and decode the video for analysis by the Neural-ART Accelerator in the STM32N6x7 - encoding and storing the video in real time then later recovering the video from storage and analysing it using the Neural-ART Accelerator would avoid the need for the analysis to be done in real time and ease power management.Video decoding on the STM32N6 series was last discussed in the community in March 2024 and at that time it wasn't on the roadmap but I thought I'd ask to see if this nay have changed since then?We were wondering if there was any roadmap now for H264 decoding on MCUs or if perhaps a difference approach might be better? Hi everyone,I have a STM32H573I-DK and try to port FreeRTOS without TrustZone to this board by CubeMX but suffered from a problem.I installed the X-CUBE-FREERTOS, set TIM17 for HAL Tick and SysTick for FreeRTOS.It will block (or crash?) in vStartFirstTask() after called vTaskStartScheduler().I have no idea what happened...Is there problem of my setting ?Thanks a lot.

I think it doesn't have an impact and you just get extra pins (e.g. extra SPI controllers becoming accessible) if going say 100 to 176. But it's not clear...IOW, will existing code run exactly as before? Isn't the silicon identical and they merely bond out the extra pins on the bigger packages?    

Hi, I am using STM32G474RE. I try to read out LTC2440 with the SPI interface. I have configured the LTC2440 as SPI master (In its datasheet the mode of operation is specified as Internal SCK, 2-Wire I/O, Continuous Conversion). The LTC2440 provides a BUSY signal which indicates the state of the conversion. hi, I'm using stm32h745 dual core MCU, in this i want to know about the caches.these I cache and D cache are default enable are it will enable from IOC configuration of M7 core.if not enabled from IOC still these caches will work automatically?due to these caches, I can't be able to run the spi with DMA mode, this cache made the dma to halt in dma handler itself.so, my question is how to work with these with or without enabled cache. I tried of changing the dma buffer to a non-cacheable memory, but I couldn't I don't know why, the location change is also not happening correctly.can someone help to solve this how to work with caches with DMA enabled, is there any video or source available for caches.  regards,Srinath

Hello community,I am new to stm32, and I need to read the temperature from the internal sensor of a stm32g4vet6.I am at the point where I have read many things and have discovered that not all stm32's internal temperature sensors must be used the same way.Currently I have asked to connect vref and temperature sensor to ADC5, asked for calibration of ADC5, and configured high values for the sampling time, and I can read adc-measured values for vref and temperature.I can compute a temperature withtemperature = (130 - 30) * (Adc.Raw[0] * 33 / 30 - *TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR) / (*TEMPSENSOR_CAL2_ADDR - *TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR) + 30;and I get plausible but unstable values.  (the nominal value of my Vref is 3.3 V)However I wonder if I should use the value of Vref measured by the ADC, and *VREFINT_CAL_ADDR,  to get more stable values, and how ? 

I am using COMP2 and COMP6 to compare external voltages to internal DAC values. I need to calibrate the internal DAC values by taking ADC measurements from the input pins. Can the ADC measurements be taken with the COMPx peripheral active?   If so, how would I set up the IOC file and init code?

Hi,I'm using OCTOSPI in Mode Quad SPI on a STM32H563ZIT6.  I'm having issues when reading Serial Flash data with a 1-1-4 (6Bh) read, 1-1-4 (32h) write is working fine. Also 1-1-1 read and 1-1-2 read also work fine.  The serial flash is IS25LP032D.  I have verified QE=1 and DummyCycles = 8 before issuing the read command. The 1-1-4 read has more problems if data is FF FF FF versus 01 02 03. 1-1-1 and 1-1-2 reads have no problem.  Here is the config (Cube MX) and 1-1-4 read function.
