How to develop STM32C091 series, use stlink V2 or stlink V3?

Hi! I'm confused about the wiring for some of the pins on the STM32H7S3I8T6:  Does the full-speed USB connection require an external high speed oscillator?There's a GPIO that senses VBUS from USB called "OTG_FS_VBUS." Currently, we have it pulled up to VBUS so that it will read high when USB is connected. However when USB isn't connected, it is left floating. Would that be ok? Thank you so much for the help!

I'm currently trying to configure a project based on an STM32U375CGUxQ, but I can only "choose" the LDO, even though the package clearly shows the SMPS pins:I'm using the STM32U3 package version 1.2.0, STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0, build 25607_20250703_0907.  Are there any prerequisites to being able to use the SMPS, and if so, what are they? NB: There doesn't seem to be a "Power saving mode" under the PWR category:

In the linker script provided by STM for STM32G474RETx, the memory section is:MEMORY { CCMSRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 32K RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 512K } But in the reference manual RM0440 section 2.4 page 88  it states that:Category 3 devices feature up to 128 Kbytes SRAM:• 80 Kbytes SRAM1 (mapped at address 0x2000 0000)• 16 Kbytes SRAM2 (mapped at address 0x2001 4000)• 32 Kbytes CCM SRAM (mapped at address 0x1000 0000 and end of SRAM2)I'm confused as to why the RAM is declared as 128K when that's the combined total of SRAM1 + SRAM2 + CCMSRAM, and there's also CCNSRAM declared separately. Is it so that RAM covers all SRAM but you can also place specific things in the CCMSRAM section? 

Hi I am looking into using STM32F446RCTx for my design, which includes 2 x USB FS 2.0 (1 x Host + 1 x Device). Hence need to provide an external HSE. I want to use an Oscillator, meaning I setup the HSE as "Bypass Clock Source" .With this setup I planned to use the pin 6 (PH1_OSC_OUT) as a GPIO for other functionalities. But the STM32CubeMX setting does not let me do this.I see that this pin will be (OSC_OUT) High Impedance as per RM0390 - Page 120. Am I right in say that I MUST leave this pin NC and cannot free up to use as GPIO?Thanks.  

Hello there I am struggling with receiving interrupts on my microcontroller project. I am currently developing a CAN bus logging device; the following code therefore sets up the CAN peripheral in silent mode. I test my device in a CAN network with two other devices that are constantly communicating with each other. I have verified that the CAN messages appear at the CAN Rx pin of my MCU using an oscilloscope.However, my CAN Rx interrupts won't fire. I tried some fixes from other posts, but unfortunately, neither of them worked for me. My setup is as follows:>> MCU: STM32L432KCU>> CAN receiver ISO1044BD>> Vdd = 1.8 V (the MCU and the CAN transceiver are both running on this level).>> IDE = CubeIDEHave any of you ever had to tackle this problem?## Here is the can.c file that was automatically generated by the CubeIDE, in which you can see the CAN initialisation.

we are observing with the RTC (Real Time Clock) on the STM32L496ZG in our project. kindly help us to resolve this . The code gets stuck on power-on . Below are the details and what we have tried so far:1. Hello, I'm working with the STM32U575VGT6 as my primary MCU and need a USB-C DRP PD IC. I'm considering the TCPP03-M20 or STUSB1600AQTR. My question is, when the PD operates in sink mode (during charging), we intend to turn off all power supplies, including the MCU. Is it possible to use these ICs in sink mode without the MCU? Additionally, we need the PD to act as a source when external peripherals are connected to this board through USB-C.

Hello,I am trying to erase flash bank 2 and then re-write with an incoming application. Hello,In one of our new PCBs we use a STM32L476VET6. For the RTC we use an external Oscillator (shown in the Picture)The drive power is set to the highest level.In our setup, the RTC only works at room temperature and with no probe connected. As soon as the oscillator is heated up to 65°C, it stops working. Same behaviour with the freezer spray. When a Probe for the oscilloscope is connectet to OSC_32_IN, the Oscillator also stops.We measured the frequency of the oscillator using the MCO-Output on PA8. Hello everyone. I am using an F411 and I cannot figure out how this is supposed to work. I enabled USB_Device in middleware, enabled USB_OTG_FS, and set up line encodings based on the default STM32 example, but when I flash STM (or step through with the debugger) I run into an error during the initialization that says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." Apparently this means I am not enumerating.I went through other posts on this forum. I made sure interrupts were enabled, that the clock is exactly 48 Hz, and I allocated extra space on the heap and the stack. 

I have noticed that in my Application project there is no SystemClock_Config() generated by CubeIDE so my guess is that these settings should be inherited from Boot stage. If that is the case, should I also not initialize XSPI interfaces, memories and memory mapped modes if they are also initialized in Boot stage?

Hello everyone,I’m working on an electronic design using the STM32WB55RGV6, and the final product cost is very constrained.I have a question regarding the SMPS components, specifically the capacitor C29 and the inductor L1 shown in the reference designs.Are these components strictly required for proper operation, or is it possible to omit them when trying to reduce the BOM cost?If they can be omitted, what is the recommended way to handle the corresponding SMPS pins on the MCU? Should they be left NC, tied to a specific level, or handled in another way?Any guidance or official recommendation would be greatly appreciated.Thank you very much!

I am trying to develop I2S master using the NUCLEO-L433RC-P, but struggling to achieve a master clock speed for 48kHz playback.The I2S audio is working (using a MAX98357A I2S amplifier) and the master clock speed needs to be 12.88MHz (i.e. 48kHz x 256).  But with my current clock configuration it is 18.285MHz, so the playback speed is too fast.  I tried entering 12.888MHz as the SAI clock speed to resolve the configuration and it came up with the configuration below, but with this configuration my code does not run....

Hello,I’m working with an STM32N6570-DK, and I’m trying to run a very simple LED-blinking application as part of the FSBL.When I debug the project using STM32CubeIDE, everything works correctly and the LED blinks as expected.Next, I want to flash the FSBL application to the external flash, so I generated the header using the following command:STM32_SigningTool_CLI.exe -bin N6test_FSBL.bin -nk -of 0x80000000 -t fsbl -o N6test_FSBL-trusted.bin -hv 2.3 -dump N6test_FSBL-trusted.binI then put the board into DEV mode, connected with STM32CubeProgrammer, and flashed the image at address 0x70000000.After disconnecting, switching to FLASH mode, and resetting the board, nothing happens. Hello,I am working with an STM32L072 and trying to generate a 1Hz interrupt with as little time drift as possible. For this, I am using the RTC wakeup interrupt at 1Hz, with the LSE (32.768 kHz quartz, 10 ppm) as the clock source.On several products, I observe a periodic time drift of about 4ms. The period and sign of the drift vary from one product to another, but the pattern is repeated consistently. The attached graph shows that the drift is periodic for each product, but with different periods.To measure the interrupt timing, I set a flag in the interrupt handler that triggers a USB message to the computer. This explains the noise in the reception time, but not the 4ms discontinuities or their periodicity. The MCU remains in run mode during these tests. And there is no reset of the board.The 4ms drift corresponds to approximately 0.0039978s, which is equal to 131 LSE ticks (131/32768). This seems significan
