 Hello everyone,I'm trying to get the USB CDC protocol working with USBX. The hardware is fine because DFU works, and I can flash the board through it. Following a tutorial, I was also able to implement a bare-metal USB CDC device, and everything enumerated correctly and printed data.I uploaded the USB_CDC example for the STM32WBA65RIVx, and that also enumerated without issues.(I removed the UART part because I don’t have it; I only tested sending “hello world”.)Then I tried to integrate USB CDC into my own project, and I got stuck because I couldn't understand why the example works but my IOC configuration does not.Eventually, I found that enumeration only works if the option UX_DEVICE_CLASS_CDC_ACM_TRANSMISSION_DISABLE is enabled.When I disable that option, the PC cannot detect my board.What could be the reason for this?I increased:usbx_system_stack_size to 32

On AN4879, STM32N6 is marked as Type E (Universal serial bus full-speed host/device interface) But actually it has 2 HS OTG with phy as high-end line up (2* Type D)  

 Hello,I am working with an STM32H563VITx (2 MB Flash) and I am experiencing a repeatable issue when placing two custom sections (.param_defaults and .app_defaults) at the end of Flash.The application runs as long as these sections are removed.But when they are enabled, ST-LINK GDB server / STM32CubeProgrammer fails to erase/program the Flash during a debug session.Project setupI have a bootloader located at 0x08000000 (32 KB) and the application starts at 0x08008000.At the end of the application Flash, I place two small tables:.param_defaults (160 bytes).app_defaults (96 bytes)Both are aligned to 32 bytes.My linker script computes their addresses like this:

Hi,We have a weired problem with a custom N657 design.When using the Nucleo board, its possible to flash the program on the external flash, as long as BOOT1=1.The programmer resets the board and it flashes the firmware normally every time.On our board we use the internal SMPS and the same external flash with the same diode in the nrst circuit.Wenn i do a power up with BOOT1 pulled up, it flashes without error and the program runs as expected, when i change it to BOOT1=0 and hit reset.But when i want to reflash it, it won't do it.The LED is on and the programmer can connect, but the erase and reflash of the external flash is failing every time until i do a power cycle.The reset signal is reaching the flash, as it should.What could be the problem? 

I want to make a project on stm32f103, I write some code. When I want to add sd card support, I need to use spi interrrupt enable.But after I enable the global irq then the code is hang. I'm using zephyr sysbuild approach to get mcuboot along with the application (application runs in XIP mode)I see that application proceeds to some point; I presume to the point where I enable MCO LL_RCC_EnableMCO(LL_RCC_MCO1)And then it gets stuck, since I'm not able to attach gdb yet, I'm not sure where to digKindly appreciate any help hereSeems that it interferes with other clock subsystems, but don't know whichI haven't found anything in errata yetPlease advise, thank youEDIT: Although I'm able to see MCO pin (PA8) toggling with the desired frequency, which means SEL and PRE DIV were ok 

Hello,  I may have accidently either shorted or applied voltage to my UART TX and RX pins on my MCU which is on a custom PCB and now my PCB is pulling +60 mA of current under load. I am now experiencing difficulty programming the chip and I am getting errors such as "unable to recognize device" and "check power and cable". I wonder if exposing my UART pins to ground or power caused some sort of ESD or electrical damage inside the MCU and that combined with a longer power supply cable is causing a jump in current that makes it difficult to flash now? Thank you.

Now I've been sitting here for 2 long day's and still haven't been able to solve the BUS-error problem. I'm logging with Kvaser USB CAN card so what I want to see right now is some healthy frames coming out from it, but no, only bus-errors, so I thought it was time to ask the community about it. I'm not a newbie in CAN and I've made an earlier project with STM32F302R8 which worked fine, but with this processor I seem to be stuck. The main.c attached is only me trying to get the interfaces up and running. What is strange is also the FDCAN Protocol status which doesn't seem to give me correct info, for example the "Activity status" which seems to be 8. Are there a friendly soul somewhere that could help me out? Intention is to get the classic CAN working and then Move over to CANFD. Hello everyone, I'm trying to do FSK and PSK modulation using HRTIM in STM32G474RE but I have what I want when I use Oscillo to display. For example,  '1' = 45 kHz and '0' = 55 kHz. I want to transmit the message "1010" where each bit is 10µs long (FSK) '1' = 5 kHz and '0' = 10 kHz. Carrier frequency = 400 kHz. I want to transmit the message "1010" where each bit is 10µs long and with an phase shift of 11.5°. How can I do this ?  If someone can help me or have an another solution using nucleo ST board. Do not hesitate to suggest me please. Best regards,  

I use a STM32L496 and I'm implementing the SPI1 port for the communication with an external device.I have used CubeMX to set things up with SPI_NSS_HARD_OUTPUT and an external pull-up on the SPI1_NSS pin. I have connected SPI1_MOSI to SPI1_MISO to read the transmitted data back.When using HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() or HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT() the data is all send and received. The 32 bits are transferred within about 16us as SPI1_SCK is at 2MHz. SPI1_NSS goes low when __HAL_SPI_ENABLE() is used by HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() or HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT(). But after this it takes about 200us before SPI1_NSS goes high when  __HAL_SPI_DISABLE() is used from within

I recently purchased some STMF303 boards for implementing a free pre-compiled HEX file.I received the boards with the STM32F303CCT6 chip, but the pre-compiled file was for the STM32F303CBT6 chip. The HEX loads but does not run on any 303CCT6.Are there significant compatibility differences between the CCT6 and CBT6 chips that would justify this?Could I have lost the purchased boards?Thank you.

I am using STM32U083 MCU in a project that runs on a 3.6v Li-SOCL2 lithium thionyl chloride battery (OC voltage 3.65V / Nominal voltage at 1mA 3.6V).Currently I have used a LDO of 2.5v to power the MCU, but I was thinking if we can eliminate the LDO and directly power the MCU from the battery.Going through the datasheet I have found that the recommended input supply voltage is 1.55v-3.6v, and max is 4.0v, I have seen a mass produced device using the same battery directly on a STM32L053 MCU. I am expecting the same might be possible with U083 as well.Please suggest if this is okay or is there can be any potential issues that can happen.

Hey!I will explain my setup and then paste the code. I have three different timers (TIM1, TIM2, TIM3) sending out PWMs to different parts of my board. All timers are set up the same way; the only difference is that TIM1 is an advanced timer.What I do is initialize all my timers and start everything up. Then, much later, I switch my pins from GPIO output low to pin alternate mode to enable the PWM outputs. This works great 999 times out of 1000, but sometimes TIM1 (and it’s always TIM1) randomly decides to put the PWM high for a very long time and then, after about 20 ms, goes down to 0 and never starts again. Hello,I am implementing SPI master communication on an STM32G474RE, transferring 68 bytes per transaction. However, I am unable to achieve the desired SPI clock speed of 5 MHz—currently the SPI clock only reaches approximately 3 MHz.The system clock is configured at 160 MHz, and I have tested the peripheral clock (PCLK) at both 80 MHz and 160 MHz. Based on these clock settings, I tried multiple SPI prescaler values (16 and 32) to obtain a 5 MHz SCK frequency. In addition, the SPI_SCK pin is configured in High-Speed mode. Despite these settings, the SPI output clock still does not exceed approximately 3 MHz.Has anyone experienced similar limitations, or is there an additional configuration step required to achieve a stable 5 MHz SPI SCK on the STM32G474RE? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

On a stm32u5, the SPI3 is in the SmartRun domain, which is designed to work down to STOP2 in autonomous peripheral mode with LPDMA. I'm now wondering if it is also possible to use SPI3 in autonomous mode with GPDMA but only to STOP1? Or do I need to use LPDMA to use SPI3 in autonomous mode regardless of the chosen stop mode?

Hello ST Expert, On our custom board - USB PD, it has  1. HW: TCPP03-M20 with STM32G0B1CBT6 2. SW: X-CUBE-TCPP 4.2.0 ( USBPD Application 4.2.0 - Dual_Role) 3. SW: Board Part tcpp0203 1.2.3 4. Tools: STM32CubeMX (6.15) & STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 & STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD-1.4    May you guide how to fix below issue? Issue: a) When pluging a usb device (smart phone USB type-c 3.1) in /connect to our custom board, on the "STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD-1.4",  we could see CC1/CC2 is detected, and it (SRC) starts charging the smart phone (SNK). However, only SRC, CCI/2 info is shown on the GUI; data role (UFP/DFP) info is not shown, etc. b) When we try to do Power role swtich, or try to get SRC's capacity by sending message to connected port on  "STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD-1.4", it always shows the message is rejected. (* We already turned on support options on CubeMX - Stack Port 0 Parameters). A

Hello, Can I say that "IDLE" is equivalent to "RTO with 8-10 bits (depending on framing)"?Or are there some other subtle differences? My goal is to transfer received data with DMA and start interpretation of the data when nothing is received on the line which, in my application's world, is equivalent to an end of frame. ThanksJulien 

Hello,let say that STM32H753 mCU has connected VBUS (via resistor divider to be sure that voltage on VBUS detection pin (PA9) would never exceed AMR), D-, D+ and GND lines with PC, before mCU core is supplied. At the moment when mCU core is then connected to power supply, would enumeration starts normally as it should or fact that USB module of mCU was connected to PC before core parts of mCU were supplied could bring problems?Thanks!
