Hello everyone,We're currently working on an external memory loader project using Keil, targeting both the Keil FLM Downloader and STM32CubeProgrammer. (We convert the .axf output to .FLM or .STLDR accordingly.)The flasher is designed to program an application into the external NOR Flash on the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board using the XSPI interface.Our work is based on the following reference project:H7S3L8 - Template_XIP When we used the loader with the Keil FLM Downloader, everything works perfectly. The loader operates without issues.However, when we switch to STM32CubeProgrammer, we encountered with RW is not being initialized properly.We’ve ensured that the relevant RW data region in the scatter file have load and execution addresses set to AXI SRAM (0x24000000).Despite this, it appears that CubeProgrammer copies the data from AXI SRAM to ITCM (0x00000000).We believe, CubeProgrammer might be running a some kind of startup code and during that process, the initial values of RW variables

I fully appreciate that CubeMX is geared towards hobbyists and demo projects.But let's imagine for a second that someone is trying to use this software professionally.I have created a template to generate some custom code with CubeMX and it works as expected. However, in the IOC file my settings are stored as shown below:ProjectManager.TemplateDestinationPath=C\:\\path\\to\\my\\project\\cubemx\\my_project_name ProjectManager.TemplateSourcePath=C\:\\path\\to\\my\\project\\tools\\cubemx-templatesNow imagine someone else is working on this project. Maybe they have checked out the code to a different directory, or maybe they are using Linux. The IOC file is broken for them. If they fix it on their side and commit it, it will be broken for me.Please add support for setting these paths relative to the IOC file itself, so that multiple people can work on the project.By the way, I tried editing the file manually and setting a relative path, but then the file is no longer generated.I am using C

STMCubeMX has various methods of copying parts or all of the libraries to a project, or referencing them outside of the project. But I've not yet seen it do what is IMO the most maintainable method: including the libraries as git submodules. You've already got them up on GitHub, and you're using submodules within the libraries (e.g. STM32CubeF4). Can you close the loop, and add support in your tooling for us to use them in our projects, as submodules?Preferably usable with CMake and your VSCode extension.Thanks for your consideration.

I am using CubeIDE version 1.11.0 for a STM32F411RC project. After i've changed boards (between two equal custom boards), my live expressions started showing wrong values. The values are only wrong in the live expression, because if I halt the program and read them, they are correct. I've tried removing the variables from the live expression and inserting them back again, but it didn't work. I also tried turning my variables volatile. I also removed all optimizations, but to no avail. I erased and remade my debug configurations from scratch, but it didn't change anything. The only thing that worked was turning on the Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) in the debug configurations. It worked once, but when I stopped the debugger, did some changes, and started it again, it was all wrong all over again. It never got right again after that. Is there some kind of configuration I am missing? The only thing I didn't try yet was reinstalling the CubeIDE.

When starting a new project in the STM32cubeIDE and selecting the STM32U073C8T6 as the microcontroller, which has 64k flash and 40k RAM, the generated linker script uses 256k flash and 32k RAM. Also the description says that this device has 256k flash.Is this a bug and if so how can this be fixed?How can the linker script be updated to use the correct flash and RAM size?

I bought an analysis program from a company and they gave me a plugin .jar file to install the analysis program in IDEs. When I put this plugin .jar file in a folder called dropins in the Code Composer Studio IDE folder, it works directly. But in STM32CubeIDE version 1.16 there is no dropins folder, even if I create it myself it doesn't work. When I tried to install the plugin as jar with the “local” option from the “install new software” screen, it didn't work. I don't have the Update site folder, only the .jar file. How can I install it in STM IDE as it is installed in CCS IDE?

Well, that's the strangest 'support' department I've ever dealt with.In trying to download the STM32CubeProgragger for Linux, I've found that the download halts at ~40Mb of some 280MB, or so. Tried downloading as user, and as guest, no luck. Tried different browser, and different computer, no luck. All 3 versions of the aforesaid program have similarly dysfunctional links.Quick word to ST 'support', and it seems my profile doesn't justify lifting a finger, and I'm told that, before being referred to community support. After two weeks in ST 'support' dystopia, I still don't have a copy of the tool.Here's the thing...I'm a customer. I can't buy thousands of ST microcontrollers, but I did buy some. That makes me an ST customer, and morally due a means to program my investment. How can I be expected to grow to a larger customer, if I cannot, even by begging a very rude and helpless 'support'?Okay, the download problem is not within my spere of influence. Hello all, i have reported it several times but ST has successfully ignored it. So i am posting it here. In CubeIDE is folding not working if file is long (around 3k lines). This is a major problem because a lot of LL "drivers" (BTW, it is RAL-Register Abstraction Layer) are quite long. Most of the lines are comments, and if you are unable to fold them, the files are hard to use, harder to read and it makes confusion and anger. If you are writing some module, which has to be longer, it will be also hard to use and read, and user could insert a duplicity which lead to bugs.  Please fix it finally.

I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.18.1, and when using float formatting, STM32CubeIDE shows me an error with red squiggles about float formatting not being enabled in my toolchain.When I go to Project Properties > C/C++ Build > Settings , I see no 'Tool settings' menu, and no linker option to specify. I am using CMake, so I believe this is normal since STM32CubeIDE does not know about my build configuration. How can I make this error disappear while using cmake ?

CubeMX always generates binary semaphores with an initial count of 1 (full) in CMSIS-RTOS2, even if the user wants the semaphore to start depleted (count = 0). I am having a hard time to set up a STM32 project in VS Code that works with all C++ features.I set up my CMakeLists and enabled CXX language and add all my sources and so on.When I keep my main.c and get my c++ functions with extern form a cpp file, the compiler does not find c++ functions like <cmath> that I include in my hpp headers.I also tried setting up a project that I could open in VS Code and CubeIDE. In Cube IDE I renamed the main.c to main.cpp . And there in Cube IDE everything compiles fine.In VS Code I get errors for the same project like and <cmath> is only found when I manually include the arm-none-eabi folder: undefined reference to `MX_SPI1_Init'",What is the best way transform a CMake project from CubeMX to C++?

Hello,STM32F411CE microcontroller.I created a starter project via STM32CubeMX using HAL and opened it in STM32CubeIDE. When I run this project in debug mode, the SFRs tab is empty (see figure bellow). Why?When I create a project without using STM32CubeMX and, accordingly, without using HAL, the SFRs tab shows the registers and value of registers.

In my project, I use the RTC with LSI and calibrate it by adjusting the prescaler at regular intervals (e.g., once per day). This method works well on STM32H7, but it doesn't work on STM32H5.On STM32H5, after changing the prescaler, the RTC either stops or doesn't keep correct time.Why is this not possible on STM32H5

Edited to clarify that this is specifically STM32F4 (originally just said "Fx").I've a library .a file compiled using STM32CubeIDE for STM32F4 series.Is the .a file be compatible to Custom ARM Cortex M4 to use in IAR Embedded Work bench?

Hi! I have a STM32N6 discovery board and I want to create an application with network support for it. Lets say simple tcp echo server. Ifound that there are no LwIP available for this board in CubeMX. Google suggests using Arure RTOS, but there are no such (X-CUBE-AZRTOS-N6) package. Instead, there are some "THREADX" and "NETXDUO" middlewares in configurator, but there are missing options to select PHY chip that is used on the board. Is it possible to build network application using CubeMX on N6?

I am using an 8 MHz external oscillator and was planning to use a PLL to increase the system frequency. However, when I open the Clock Configuration tab in CubeMX, I don’t see any option for a PLL.I’ve also shared a screenshot of the clock configuration where it’s clear that the PLL option is not available.So my question is: Does the STM32C071CBT6 microcontroller support PLL with an external oscillator?

Hello,I have been trying to open two files simultaneously in sdcard (one in READ mode and another one in Write mode) using the STMCUBE IDE fatfs library. Hello ST community, I have cloned a project developed by a colleague of mine using STM32WBA52 MCU.When I hit build for the project I got this error "Note: This behavior is deprecated and will be removed in future version of the linker"I updated STM32CubeIDE to 1.16, but I still get the same error, whereas, the project was initially developed using older version of CubeIDE Did anyone get into this issue?Any assistance would be appreciatedThanks

I don't know we are going where with this software. after update i was tried some pin name changes and pressed generate code.. and my USB CDC IF file gone.. with my codes.. how do i trust this software.. where do we go.. and now no where to config usb cdc and nothing work instead no usb descriptor error. how to recover? can i go back to old version? why is this software like this?
