STM32CubeMonitor (MCUs)

Hi,I use CubeMonitor V1.8.0 with my STM32G474QET device. Unfortunately the chart inside the dashboard is very small so I can`t work with it. Is there any possibility to set the size of the graph? The only thing I found is the duration in seconds, but that only changes the resolution but not the chart size itself. Thanks for any recomendations.Benedikt

I need to start using STM32CubeMonitor on my NUCLEO-G071RB to monitor some variables of my new firmware application developed with STM32CubeIDE 1.15.0. I never used STM32CubeMonitor before, so I installed the last STM32CubeMonitor 1.8.0 on my Windows 11 Pro 23H2 64-bit PC.I launch STM32CubeMonitor and it opens the Basic Flow for a simple acquisition. I try to configure the nodes myProbe_Out and myProbe_In as explained in STM32CubeMonitor:How to select the target article, but no probe are listed in the acq stlink in/out node properties:

I remember using this software about year ago, but I cant even download it.  https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonitor.html#overview Ther is not any download link visible, but I see links and can download any other software.  I also can't see any info about Monitor software being unavilable. Where is the problem then?

In the user manual for STM32CubeMonPwr it mentions the ability to run ULPMark tests. Where is the firmware located for running this benchmark? The link in the user manual goes to www.st.com (see section 4.8.2 above Figure 29)

Hi everyone,I'm looking for a way to monitor a large structure using STM32CubeMonitor (or other solutions if not possible with CubeMonitor).I'm working on STM32L431RCT6My structure is composed like followed:typedef struct { uint16_t a; uint16_t b; } _Type1; typedef struct { uint16_t c; _Type1 d[500]; } _Type2;The structure I would like to monitor is of _Type2 type and is stored in flash (It is not declared in code). The structure above is only declared to easily interpret the data when accessing them. It's address is 0x08037000.I can do it in debug mode with CubeIDE but that is far from ideal. I found out about CubeMonitor and I tried to use it to monitor this structure but that proved to be not as easy as I expected. Is there actually a way to do this ? Do I have to put it in RAM in order to monitor it ?Thank you for your help !

Hi, The font size is way too small for me. I use Ubuntu, system-wide font scaling factor set to 1.5. This does not affect the font in STM32CubeMonitor. It is really small. Any ideas how the font size can be increased? STM32CubeMonitor-Power - v1.2.1 Thank you!

Hi,I purchased new LPM01a board for power consumption analysis. When I am powering it up with usb host port (JP3 -> usb) red led light up. I tried with different hosts (desktop and laptop) but that does not works. I am getting error "Get current range command failed" in STM32CubeMonitor-Power. From google I found out that pc current limit is upto 100mA only. However, in user manual of LPM01, it specified that 500mA is required for working otherwise red led will light up. My first question is, if PC can be configared to deliver current upto 500mA, then how?Alternatively, LPM01 can be also powered from external CN7 jumper with JP3 set to Ext.In this regard, My 2nd  question is:In Ext power mode, data acquisition with STM32CubeMonitor-Power is still possible via usb port (CN5), or only the board display is available?

The STLink V3-PWR has the potential to be a great tool.  However, STM32CubeMonitor-Power (v1.2.1) has a critical issue that seems likely to generate many unnecessary support calls to ST: there is no way to run the tool without logging acquisitions to disk...and at high sampling frequency, it captures a LOT of data. I discovered this the hard way when I ran it overnight with the acquisition time set to infinite and the next day my drive was full.  Even worse, it's not obvious where all that data is stored (Users/myUserName/AppData/Local/Temp/Power_Monitor/Acquisition).Please consider allowing users to run the tool and observe consumption without also logging the data to disk.  A few simple UI controls would add a great deal of value and I suspect most of these are low-effort.  The first one is the difference between this being a daily-use tool and one that is marginally useful.Checkbox to enable/disable logging (should be disabled by defaul

Please find the given DSO image !!!! blue is fault signal and yellow is PWM   I need to stop the PWM, if a fault will come, while doing this my PWM is  turning off  but not fully its showing a ramp down of 88usec and then becoming zero. given configuration in my IOCGPIO setting for timer  and fault signal is  GPIO mode: Alternating PUSH PULL    pull down   

HiIs there a RedNode plugin / Script for the power measurement with the STLink V3PWR? Or do I need to do that by myself with the UM2269 manual? Thanks in advancenobody

HiOn windows:1. STLINKv3PWR is not recognised by cube monitor power when connected a USB hub (select Board is empty).2. some times the PC software takes up to 20 seconds to find the comport.3. diconnection of the device (USB) duing acquisition leads to a hang of cube monitor. I couldnt even find a process to kill in task manager.

All,I am trying to use the snapshot acquisition mode in STM Studio to observe variables at user-defined timings, but stuck at setting "the Address of snapshot trace header part."As indicated by the STM Studio manual, I have identified the address of “g_traceHeader.startMark[0]" which is 0x24000000 for me. However, STM Studio seems to only accept values within the range of 0x1-0x3e8. How can I proceed with using the snapshot acquisition mode? My MCU is STM32H7 series.Thank you 

Hello,the STM32CubeMonitor-Power is a very useful tool and I am using it a lot.For power optimizing applications often the period, at which current pulses occur, help a lot to find the source. Therefore I am missing a "Cursor" feature for this tool.When moving around the mouse time and current at mouse position should be shown.Maybe you can consider it for next release.

Hello,Today I tried using STM32CubeMonitor 1.7.0 on macOS Sonoma (MacBook with M1 chip), but after installing the app opens without acq in and acq out nodes in the library, and of course it complains about missing node types when loading sample Basic_Flow (see attached screenshot).I tested it on another MacBook, with same results, and downloaded an older version (1.6.0), still with the same outcome. Windows version works fine out of the box, but my whole workflow is on a mac.Is there anything obvious I am doing wrong?Thanks,Jakub

I have followed this STM wiki tutorial about basic PD Sink. Everything is running according to it, but I am unable to see voltage and current measurement inside UCPD monitor. I have also followed the set-up of debugging button which is working correctly and prints the voltage inside trace. But the measurement graph is unfortunately blank. Where might be the problem?github: link 

We have previously used version 1.1.0 without issue but are now using 1.2.1 on Windows11.We find that the Save Graph button doesn't do anything.  We expect to see the usual save dialog but get nothing.Currently using an STLINK-V3PWR.  Previously used X-NUCLEO-LPM01A.Could this be some cached settings from the old version that need to be cleared somewhere? 

Please refer to screen shot cube Monitor overall. It all works except that the text does not display. I am expecting the numerical data displayed on the gauge would also be displayed in the Text on the dashboard but it doesn't work. Both of the single value nodes are set up the same and the Text node is set up as in the "screenshot text node".I thought that the Text node and gauge node would operate the same way on data but that seems not to be the case.  Could someone please explain what I am doing wrong. Thanks

I am new to the STM32CubeMonitor and use it for the first time for acquiring data from a STM32G0B1RETx MCU without using the IDE's Debug mode. The 'probe' is a ST-LINK/V2, connected to pins PA13 (SYS_SWDIO) and PA14 (SYS_SWCLK). The CubeMonitor reports 'p2p connected', see the MON screenshot below. However, the log file (STM32CubeMonitor.log) has many entries stating that an 'Error on connect' occurred. See the the log lines below the screenshot. The result is no data are acquired and no log file was generated.I have two questions, please:Question 1: how can a reliable connection to the ST-LINK/V2 and the target MCU be established? Is there a ST tutorial on youtube?Question 2: beside the Dashboard graphics, does the CubeMonitor offer a simple text window for displaying values, for example numbers in decimal or hex format?Thank you very much!

Hello, from what I read in the ST wiki I understand that the STM32CubeMonitor (MON) is a standalone application? A P2P connection to the 'probe' (e.g. the ST-LINK/V2) is used in this configuration.That means: it is not required that the STM32CubeIDE runs in Debug mode. Hi!I'm having problem connecting the board to a Windows 10 PC. Connecting the board to the USB it works in standalone mode, but the USB driver (PowerShield Virtual ComPort in FS Mode) is not installed, so I can't use the board with the STM32CubeMonitor-Power. Windows Device Manages tells that device drivers have not been installed, and the associated COM port is obviously not existing.Is the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A not functioning properly or am I missing something?
