About the TDA7294 bridge circuit of Fig. 25 on page 17 of the datasheet

The datasheet of the TDA7294 audio amplifier suggests a bridge topology through Fig. 25 on page 13 of the datasheet. The design seems elegant as it does not use any external op-amps to generate complimentary signals.

However I have a few questions/ concerns:

  1. Is this the best approach to implement the bridge topology since it uses the output of one IC as input to the next?
  2. How will it compare in terms of performance parameters (noise and distortion etc.) to the one that uses an externally generated complimentary signals?
  3. Will an electrolytic capacitor in series with the 680E resistor help minimizing the DC at the amplifier output? Should this capacitor be bi-polar electrolytic instead of polar, for better performance?
