Regarding LM2901 datasheet: Why is there such a big difference of the typical ICC@(VCC=5V and Tamb=25°C) in table 3 and figure 3?

Because of several reasons. One is the structure of this comparator, which was developed more than 40 years ago. The bipolar technology used and the temperature dependency of e.g. the internal constant-current sources also play a role.
