STA311B - RESET pin behavior

Hello,

Does the RESET pin have an internal pull-up?

It seems that there's always ''0'' on RESET pin when it's floating on my STA311B... And it sinks up to 15 mA when I'm trying to pull it up to VCC with external resistor. Does it mean that my STA311B is toast? Could it be the consequences of phantom power given to RESET pin while the main supply to VDD was down?

hi Omalay,

it's a schmitt trigger buffered input . so will not sink such high current normally .

usually a 10K ohm pulled up resistor was enough for reset pin , and you also need to add a 1nF MLCC chip capacitor nearby IC pin to prevent unexpected reset by ESD or noise from ground .
