TDA-7498-L burn

Hi To all,

I have a problem to new design, based to de datasheet of the TDA-7498-L,

Every time when I put in STBY off, the Intensity increase, and the device is

burn.

I compare two, diagrams and I doesn�t found possible the fail.

Attached I send my Schematic

Any suggestion..?

Hi Pep,

there are some misconnection of standby and mute control signal in your schematic , but it may just lead pop noise during power on/off .

could you also share your pcb layout and power on/off sequence for 3.3V and Vin ?

and also please check rated voltage for 100nf cap, it's better to use 50V X7R type MLCC for this application .

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Sure, i send to you the dessign to my pcb, no problem.

The problem in my design, is When connect the power supply to my pcb,

works fine, no problem, the quiescense instensity is not more than 5 mA,

but when in put the system in standby off, increase the instensity, and the chip is destroy..

I doesn´t undesrtand wher is the problem..

hi Pep ,

according to you laytout ,C19,C25 ,C30 and C31 had been put far away from IC pin lead .

those capacitors are critical for IC performance and reliability . that's why you are facing current issue. you may refer to TDA7498E layout from below link , there are some difference between TDA7498E and EDA7498L in gain setting and mono mode setting .
