Hi

With regard to this device's circuit as shown in fig 2 of the datasheet, should the input be AC coupled or can it directly accept a bi-polar input signal?

Hi Graeme ,

yes , you need an AC coupling capacitor ( 100nf ~220nf ) between front end and input of TDA7233, due to input bais level was not zero at TDA7233.
