SPC560B-DIS Discovery Board

Can't seem to connect to the SPC560B-DIS via USB or JTAG-USB (SOC5-UDESTK) to the UDE debugger. UDE does not list the device SPC560B54L5. UM1672 User Manual (Table 3) mentions some ''jumper'' states that are in actual fact not jumpers and would require soldering to change configuration.

Can someone help?

Connection issue resolved (was IT related). Can anyone tell me where to find the software examples used in the Discovery kit tutorials? There is nothing at this link:

    Hello Kevin ,

sorry for my late answer :

we have some IT issues too ;)

The software examples are present in the application wizard(2 at the current time for B Discovery)

all the applications are uptodate in SPC5Studio 3.3

    Best Regards

I am trying to connect to the Discovery board directly via JTAG (as opposed to the default, USB integrated debugger configuration). Table 3 of the reference manual (UM1672) says that a load of jumpers need changing if JTAG is to be used. However it looks as if these jumpers (J101, J102...) will require soldering, which is unexpected. Could you confirm this? I am currently unable to connect directly via JTAG (with either ST's UDESTK or a UAD2pro).

    Hello Kevin ,

    No HW modification is required.

Using the JTAG port only, the board must be supplied by using the external power supply.

Note: J101 (0R resistor) in the default HW configuration must not be present.

       Best regards

    Hello Erwan,

Can you please share the link for SPC5Studio 3.3 to download? ST Micro website displays v3.0 for download. Thanks.

    Hello Mike ,

You have to download SPC5Studio 3.0.

and after , you can use the ''update site system'' from SPC5Studio

''Help ==> Install new Software''(Cf Screenshot)

It will install SPC5Studio Core, Pinmap, Application Wizard 3.3.2.

    (cf Installation Details)

    Best regards

    Erwan
