Dear SPC5Studio Team,

I followed the installation procedure (backup licence and workspace, uninstall v3.7.1, remove workspace...) and I now have 2 problems:

- I exported my v3.7 project in zip file and imported it in v4.0. I added the Platform, init and LL drivers SLA packages and I generate the components. WHERE COULD DRIVERS SETTINGS BE FOUND? The clock component shows clock settings, ok, but where are FlexCAN, DSPI settings??? Even if I create an app using the wizard, i'm stuck. The clock settings are not using the values I used in my configuation.xml. Is the v3.7 configuration.xml still supported in v4.0?

- I set the http and https proxy settings to manual with correct server address, port, login and pwd, clear socks entries, and at startup the log says ''System property https.proxyPort is not set but should be 8080.'' and so on for all 6 properties. Only one time it worked after applying but when looking for updates or market place I had 2 possible issues:

  - 9 times out of 10, the log shows ''Provisioning exception'' containing ''HTTP Proxy Authentication Required:

http://hightec.spc5studio.com/content.xml

''.

  OR

  - 1 time out of 10, the fetching starts but the transfer is extremely slow (2kB/s...) and stops after 20 minutes. The ST website is also very slow to respond. Is there any issues on the ST side or could this come from my proxy config? What would you recommand?

    Hello Aurelien ,

    1) We have updated the ''user interface'' in SPC5Studio 4.0

you should go in Outline view (cf screenshot)

You can find your drivers settings

chapter ''assembling your application'' in Help contents.

    The components structure are unchanged

you can import an application from 3.7 into 4.0.

    2) it is a proxy authentication issue from your side.

    In Windows ==> Preferences

    Set HTTP, HTTPS in manual.

    not SOCKS

because some corporate proxies can stuck others requests.

Corporate IT will kill us ;)

if your problem is not solved .. i will send a web link directly.

    Best regards

    Erwan

    Hello Erwan,

    thank you for your response.

    1) see import_fail.png picture atached - When I import my project, there are some errors and after manually adding components, they do not reuse the configuration.xml data. Even worst, when I save configuration.xml, all settings are lost! Please, explain me how to import a zip backup of a v3.7 project.

    2) see network_settings.png andnetwork_settings_log_on_startup.pngpictures atached - you said to set http and https to manually, but not socks. But it all manually or not, it is not possible to unselect socks. On startup and even after applying settings, they are not used and I can't connect to update site or market. Please help.

    Hello Aurelien ,

    1) there is an error, You have not installed SPC5-HAL SPC56ECXX Component

You need to install from the Marketplace. (SPC5-HAL).

    2) Your proxy is well on the port 8080 ? if you have no port settings in your internet browser. put port 80 by default.

Anyway , i am sending the full update site by zip file.

in some minutes , you should receive a notification

            Best regards

Yes, my IT confirmed that my proxy port is 8080.

    When I browse the address

    http://spc5.drive.cloudforge.com/projects/spc5releases/SPC5Studio/updates4/

    http://spc5.drive.cloudforge.com/projects/spc5releases/SPC5Studio/updates4/the%20file%20content.xml

is not present. Is that normal?

Does the file content.jar which is present is automatically extracted when accessing update site?

I received the files link by mail. Arround 100MB the download stops... I will download them from home...

I also noticed that when I download content.jar, Windows is using the JVM and can't open the file (see screenshot). But 7-zip opens it...

I downloaded the files at home and it worked fine so it's coming from my network config at work.

I installed hightec compiler but I have a permanent floating license file which is not supported... How should I install it?
