Hello,

I would like to know how to send a ZIP file in a private message. I don't have this option at the bottom of the pageDYann1_0-1732197043827.png

But I have only theses option at the Top of the page :

Yes, it's a very good point about trust and this is also what we are defining. It's currently a very narrow group of individuals that can attach files through PM, and we are looking into widening that.

@DYann.1 I will send you a DM to help you out regarding your correspondence with @mƎALLEm

Hmmm ... It's there for me:

As it's a private message, you could just agree with the other party/ies how you want to exchange files - maybe via a 3rd-party site or service ...

I have nothing. Yes via a 3rd-party site or service is possible but the correspondent does not accept much. So Why we don't have the possiblity to send a ZIP file in the private message ?

Hi @DYann.1 and @Andrew Neil,

The reason why @DYann.1 can’t send a private message, is because the permission to attach local files isn't granted at this time.

Some permissions are based on our community rank system. We’ve noticed a misuse of the private message functionality from spammers, which is why we’re testing changes to private messages and private message attachments.
We want to find the right balance between preventing spam, and not disrupting private messages for active community users.
We’re actively working on it, it's still in progress, and you can expect additional changes very soon.

Best regards,
Laurids

I see.

At 'Senior II', I'd have thought that @DYann.1 should be trusted with attachments?

It seems that @mƎALLEm has specifically invited @DYann.1 to send stuff by attachment:

In such a case, there should be a way for the receiver to override the general rank restriction?
