On some post now I get an error

Have been on this forum for 8 years or so, never had this issue..

I tried to report a fix to someone, can't do that.. This is a great way to block uses reporting solutions.

What is this ? Cannot find any link how to verify.

Please help ASAP

I also don't see Sidekick on any forum, is that related ?

Hi @debugging,

The team has implemented the necessary changes for the second point. The text that appears when hovering over the chatbot now states: Open STM32 Sidekick.

Thank you for highlighting this point.

The post is likely read only, as the message suggests. Perhaps provide a link. You're clearly able to interact with the forum by making this post.

Hi @debugging

To confirm what @TDK said. This text appears for read-only threads, and you are logged out. If it's not the case, please send over a screenshot and URL where it does appear to you.

As for the Sidekick, it's working and should appear on Welcome page and on all STM32 MCUs and STM32 MPUs related forum boards. Share a screenshot where it does not appear to you.

Regards,
Lina

thanks for the reply.

1. Yes I was logged in and Yes the thread was locked/read only.  I was  wondering i needed to verify  my email address or how I could see my email is "verified" or not and there wasn't a verify option in my profile. As I was logged in perhaps the error message could be more intelligent.

2. I understand now that "sidekick" is the icon. when I moved my mouse over the icon it said "open chat" . I could not find the word "sidekick" in any of the webpages so wondered what or where it was.

3.  I am not sure why I see the icon it now. perhaps related to https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/having-issue-with-stm32-sidekick-with-firefox/m-p/865804  but I use Ubuntu with Firefox.

Hi @debugging

Thanks for additional information.

For the 1st point - I am checking if the notification message can vary based on the log-in status. If not, we will have to keep it as it is.

For 2nd - I have passed the feedback to the respective team. I will let you now once there are news on this.

Regards,
Lina

It seems to be the standard message - example screenshots here and here.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
