Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I fully understand and respect STMicroelectronics' policy of supporting only genuine STM32 products.
At the same time, I would like to humbly point out that locking the thread without offering any basic direction or educational resources left the situation somewhat unresolved from a learning perspective.

Many users, especially beginners, might not be aware that they have purchased non-genuine hardware. Providing even a simple link to an FAQ, guidelines on identifying genuine products, or a short note on safe purchasing practices would greatly help the community avoid such issues in the future.

I appreciate the efforts of the ST team and community members.
Looking forward to working with genuine STM32 products and learning more through this platform.

PS:

You didn't mention what MCU you thought was on the board - so hard to make specific recommendations for genuine ST parts.

Usually, I think these Blue Pill are apeing an F103 - so a Nucleo-F103 would be the place to start:

What do you mean by, "think more seriously" ?

ST do seem to have recently started taking them "more seriously" - by actively locking threads.

I also support the attitude of ST these days.
However, the number of “Pill” is too many. And they come out one after another.
It might be a better idea to put a cautionary statement(by red)at the top of the forum.
(I said that...,but I doubt they will read it...)

While putting a statement at the top of the forum may have helped you in particular, it would dilute what's happening here. Why reserve space on the forum in a prominent location to let visitors know about fake products? Surely it should be on the sellers of those products to spread that awareness.

I'm generally against locking the threads, but I'm also against big warning messages that don't apply to 99% of the users here. It's not ST's responsibility to instill this knowledge into you, although I agree it is awkward to find out you are working with a fake product for the first time. But that you know, you can make better informed decisions.

Is there? There is only one problematic board--the "blue pill" F103 which has several clones. The "black pill" is much less common and may have genuine chips.
