ESD protection on antenna connector

Hi All,

please point me to sources about

  • ESD sensitivity in practical applications
  • standard practice to protect RF inputs

for GNSS modules like Teseo LIV4F, LIV3F, with external antenna - this means, the device has a RF connector (MCX, SMA) which might be subject to ESD.

Hello,

The TESEO-LIV4F is obsolete.

The ESD data for TESEO-LIV3F is below:

RL ESD Sensitivity Class : Class 0[50,199] Human Body Model sensitivity : 1000 volt Charged Device Model sensitivity : 150 volt Machine Model sensitivity(optional) : 0 volt

If no further assistance is needed, the ticket will be closed in a couple of days.

Christian

please provide a source for your claim "The TESEO-LIV4F is obsolete".
https://www.st.com/en/positioning/teseo-liv4f.html writes "active" with 7 year longevity commitment (however, with a starting date 2023-04-03). The LIV3F longevity committment already expired...

Regarding ESD data: My question was about

  • ESD sensitivity in practical applications
  • standard practice to protect RF inputs

But the data you provided is for handling the unsoldered module in electronic manufacturing, not for finished products.

Oliver
