A) Teseo-LIV3F supports GPS, Glonass, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS constellations
Q) How many channel does Teseo-LIV3F use?
A) Teseo-LIV3F uses at least 32 channels; SBAS takes at least 4 channels for each system (these values are fixed during firmware generation and can not be modified)
Q) Which are the maximum velocity and altitude Teseo-LIV3F can guarantee to continuously update its position?
A) Teseo-LIV3F has to be ITAR limits compliant which are:
- speed: 515 m/s
- altitude: 18000 [m]
when both the condition are true the Teseo-LIV3F stops providing the PVT solution.
In any case the absolute Teseo-LIV3F limits are:
- speed: 600 m/s
- altitude: 100000 [m]
Q) Does Teseo-LIV3F support Assisted GNSS?
A) Yes. It does. Teseo-LIV3F support three Assisted GNSS:
- ST-AGNSS (no internet connection needed)
- Predictive AGNSS (internet connection needed) and
- RealTime-AGNSS (internet connection needed)
Q) Does Teseo-LIV3F support Raw Measurement data?
A) No it doesn't
Q) Should I write Teseo-LIV3F driver from scratch?
A) No you shouldn't. ST provides ready-to-be-used device driver on:
- STM32 driver x-cube-gnss1 on www.st.com
- ARM-mbed
- Android HAL
Q) Is there an evaluation board?
A) Yes. There is the Teseo-LIV3F evaluation board. Further information on www.st.com
Q) Why PVT solution isn't provided when 4 satellites are seen?
GNSS algorithm needs 4 satellites to evaluate PVT solution, but they have to be good satellites; if under specific thresholds a satellite can be rejected in the PVT solution.
These thresholds can be modified:
- CDB-ID 132 – GNSS Positioning CN0 threshold
- CDB-ID 198 – GNSS Mask angle positioning
Q) Is there a prototyping board?
A) Yes. There is the X-Nucleo-GNSS1A1 the Teseo-LIV3F prototyping board. Further information on www.st.com
Q) Is there an evaluation software PC tool?
A) Yes. There is the Teseo-Suite PC tool available on www.st.com
Q) Is there minimal order quantity?
A) No there is no minimal order quantity.
Q) Can the Teseo-LIV3F be re-programmed?
A) Yes, it can. Teseo-LIV3F supports firmware update on the field.
Q) Can the Teseo-LIV3F host customer-application/code?
A) No it can not. There is no SDK available on Teseo-LIV3F. Teseo-LIV3F isn't an open platform. It can be reprogrammed only with binary provided by ST
